bass4funkFEB. 06, 2017 - 01:16AM JST If you think it's the truth, you can believe that's your right and the Trump haters can as well and we that support Trump don't, that's our belief and right.

Don't play those cowardly games, it is the truth, and you know it's the truth because otherwise you'd be jumping to put up evidence that you haven't just spent several posts lying through your teeth to waste everyone else's time.

Facts are facts. It's not a matter of opinion.

It is "President Trump", just like it was "President Obama" and "President Clinton" and "President Reagan" - please. Show some respect for the office, even if you dislike the man's policies. I've done that the last 8 years. Feel free to check my posts here - or anywhere else. The person who is President of the USA deserves at least that amount of respect.

Didn't your President call a federal judge a "so-called judge" on Twitter? Respect is earned not given, and therefore he's So-Called President Trump.

President Trump didn't go far enough to distance himself while in office. We need to write our senators and representatives to get the laws changed to force this. 2/3 override will be necessary. I think that is possible. "Disinterested, non-family member, with ZERO prior dealings with the President or his immediate family" - that should cover it. A revocable trust is NOT sufficient.

Sure, we'll continue on believing the truth you want to deny.

I'm guessing the Office of Government Ethics will be another agency being shutdown soon?

If you think so, go ahead.

bass4funkFEB. 05, 2017 - 02:36PM JST Doesn't matter that it was a single reporter. Out of control fires were started by lighting one single match. All the liberal MSM jumped on that story

The story that never existed because no story was ever printed about it?

Go ahead, go through the archives, can you show us a single news story reporting on the claim that MLK's bust was removed without also reporting on the fact that it never was?

Business as usual.

New documents show Trump retains direct tie to his businesses

What? The unused-looking stationery at the press conference was unused? Shock, horror!

I know in true liberal fashion getting excited and casting aspersions, rushing to judgment is the progressive far left way of doing things, but I'll hold on commenting on this until further evidence.

And then in true sycophant fashion you'll back Trump 100% no matter what evidence turns up.

Pants on F I R E

Why not Trump just do it and divest?

What's the reason for keeping ties?

It's not like he can't go back to it once he leaves office.

Really, anybody give one good reason why not just do it?

The president spits on the constitution again, and his fans race to lock it off and make excuses, calling "polish".

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Remember you're talking to people who have no problem equating Trump not releasing his taxes with Obama not releasing his college transcripts. False equivalency runs deep with the GOP as a survival mechanism.

@Bass

Ok, sorry. It is very childish. Can you tell us where these claims were proved to be false? Is it at nonpartisanhistoriansclaimingthebushyearswerearoaringsucess@lunaticfringe.kudos?

Out of control fires were started by lighting one single match.

False analogy. Not out of control. Every 'liberal' MSM piece I read about this incident focused on how the reporter had been reckless in tweeting before checking the facts. None of them were going against Trump on that.

You being uncomfortable with the truth doesn't make it questionable.

Who said, I'm uncomfortable? I'm fine, I'm sure this will get resolved rather quickly, it's all good.

By "they" do you mean a single Time magazine reporter who tweeted the bust was gone, never actually wrote a story about it, and apologized for his error within an hour of finding out he was wrong? You know, someone from an entirely different news organization than the one you're trying to criticize?

Doesn't matter that it was a single reporter. Out of control fires were started by lighting one single match. All the liberal MSM jumped on that story before even knowing the facts as they usually as in the case where Trump was in Russia having an escapade with 2 women, which also proved to be false. It amazes me how relentless the left is, but tomis another day and let's see what other devilry they'll come up with next.

Strangerland, you forgot truth and facts don't matter anymore, the highest levels of government there now have "alternative facts".

Besides which it seems clear now the path forward, ignore the judicial system, remove or attack anyone that doesn't follow the rhetoric.

This is how theocracies and Facist regimes get started..

So one of the most liberal outspoken outlets the AP puts out a piece that's questionable

What's questionable about it? They have supported their claims with evidence. Do you have something to disprove this evidence?

That's exactly who he means. He can't disprove the evidence given in the article, so he tries to discredit the source, but ignored the facts behind the anecdote with which he is trying to disprove it. A failure from start to finish.

the AP puts out a piece that's questionable,

You being uncomfortable with the truth doesn't make it questionable.

They were also quick to jump on Trump about moving the MLK bust head from the White House which proved not to be true.

The facts are clear. All Presidents who had any business of their own had direct connection with their business. Probably Obama is one of the few that did not have their own business to care for since he has never been involved with any business. It is something that cannot be avoided regardless of what anyone says.

The important things is for the public to make sure that Trump will not use his position and power to profit "unfairly" as Clinton and even Bush had. Those who were professional politicians either had family wealth or were connected to wealth. Had Al Gore been in office, his family connection would have been questioned. However, others would not have been so heavily criticized. The opposition were all intimately connected. Trump us an outsider.

Here we we go. So one of the most liberal outspoken outlets the AP puts out a piece that's questionable, let's see where this goes. They were also quick to jump on Trump about moving the MLK bust head from the White House which proved not to be true. I know in true liberal fashion getting excited and casting aspersions, rushing to judgment is the progressive far left way of doing things, but I'll hold on commenting on this until further evidence.

Lock him up, lock him up, lock him up!

Sound familiar?

Trump is the disaster that the majority of people in the US knew he would be.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

I keep waiting for my conservative friends and neighbors who voted for Trump to express--at the least--some concern over his conduct. He's undisciplined, unprincipled, unaware and--to top it all off--unabashedly corrupt. These are folks who expressly voted for Trump (or at least NOT for Hillary) because they wanted an end to the dishonesty in government. If I were among them, I'd be outraged that Trump has simply thrown it all back in their faces.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the longtime chief executive officer of Exxon Mobil, left the energy company, sold off his millions of shares in stock and put the cash into a trust to be overseen by a third party.

If Tillerson in fact did this, kudos.

Only Trump's truest believing true believers and those global elitists who stand to get even richer doing business with him will not see what Trump's doing as having the potential for conflicts of interest ahead.

Trump and the Republicans running the country care first and foremost about maintaining personal wealth. The rest? Let them be trickled down on. If they're lucky.

Are Trump and the Republicans trying to establish an American version of Putin's kleptocracy? Oligarchy? Corporatocracy?

Why won't Trump release information showing his business connections in the US and abroad.
