There is always the threat of terrorism. The terrorists only have to get it right once to make a scene.

the threat from homegrown extremists who radicalize on their own before committing mass violence in the name of foreign groups.

Yup. It's not illegal immigrants that you have to watch out for, whatever Trump may say. He is dead wrong.

It's local terrorists.

It's local terrorists.

You can tell yourself that all day if it helps you..

Federal numbers released Friday show that more than 15,000 illegal immigrants currently living in the US are convicted or accused of homicide — with the eye-popping figure made public as Vice President Kamala Harristraveled to the southern border to address her perceived weakness on the issue.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement provided the data to Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas), who published it as Air Force Two flew to southern Arizona for the Democratic presidential nominee’s second border trip since becoming President Biden’s point person on reducing illegal immigration.

As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE’s national docket —13,099 criminally convicted MURDERS!” tweeted Gonzales, a critic of Harris’ performance who represents more than 800 miles of territory along the US-Mexico border.

What does this have to do with international terrorism? How many terrorist attacks have been perpetrated by illegal immigrants?

What does this have to do with international terrorism?

Everything, for starters many of these people that are charged are from various countries from around the world, which makes it international.

Do you consider all crime or murders to be terrorism?

You’re barking up the wrong tree.

The swirl of concerns led Wray to tell The Associated Press in August that he was “hard-pressed to think of a time in my career where so many different kinds of threats are all elevated at once.”

I wonder how the charges of 'terrorism' will be used in the cases of Jabbar or Livelsberger, both US citizens and military.

But federal charges of 'terrorism' were indeed filed against a US citizen in the past weeks for an act of 'domestic terrorism'.

Curious.

When any state becomes desperate and inept, citizens begin to commit rash acts (much as states do.)

The state panics and the ability to keep control becomes a concern.

When the ballot box gives way to vested interests and the people are ignored as autocrats ride roughshod over democratic principles;laws become effective weapons to control dissent.

This is happening in the US presently.

There is no evidence linking illegal immigration and Islamic Jihadists. Soon, on Jan 20 Trump will solve all these nasty problems.

The US and Europe need to be on top security alerts. What's the chatter?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Anyone that’s been anywhere in the Middle East for any conflict knows the threat of these extremists has never changed….just your personal Alert Level.

Anyway, it doesn’t matter because in two weeks the damage done by Myorkas and this admin will be dealt with and thank god every single law agency is on the same page when it comes to this and yes, I’m talking foreign and domestic, both will be dealt with accordingly.

You heard it here first. In 2 weeks U.S. domestic terrorism will end and the FBI will be good guys again.

The New Orleans terrorist and the Las Vegas bomber were not left-wingers. The Las Vegas bomber was a Trump supporter.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Illegal immigrant crime does not equal terrorism.

You can’t rule that out.

Any serious person working in law enforcement, intelligence, or counter terrorism knows this.

Absolutely

Again, you and your idol are barking up the wrong tree.

No, just not taking the side that just want to see things as they hope, that helps no one. Nothing should be ruled out whether it makes a person feel uncomfortable or not.

There is zero connection between this New Orleans Jihadist and illegal immigrants entering across the Southern Border. He was American-born and served in the U.S. military. Anyone who thinks there is a connection is a fool.

Again, you don’t get to determine that, the investigation is still ongoing, look, you believe what you want and so will I, but one thing neither of us can dispute, this investigation is ongoing and that’s indisputable. Nothing is ruled out until then. So I’m keeping everything on the table until we know 100%, now if you don’t, then that’s on you, no worries

He was American-born and served in the U.S. military. Anyone who thinks there is a connection is a fool.

Again, that’s your personal opinion. I have a different one, we are all allowed to have our own opinions.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

that’s your personal opinion

That the terrorist was a U.S. born citizen is not an opinion. It’s a fact.

It’s astounding that this point even needs discussion.

I never said that he wasn’t an American, calm down. Shhh.

It’s astounding that this point even needs discussion.

I’m just saying I’m keeping an open mind when it comes to the domestic terrorist charge. Just keeping an open-mind

I do and base my opinions on the facts. All of the mass shooters are American-born. None of the Jidhadist terrorists entered the country via the southern border. The 9/11 terrorists just flew straight in.

He was American-born and served in the U.S. military. Anyone who thinks there is a connection is a fool.

Again, that’s your personal opinion. I have a different one, we are all allowed to have our own opinions.

It's not my opinion. He was American-born and served in the U.S. military. You can have any opinion even when the facts do not substantiate it.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

No country can be 100% secure against a terrorist attack. This jihadist wasn't even on the radar of security agencies.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Why did a right-wing Trump supporter become a deadly Jihadist? Why was he radicalized? No record of him visiting mosques. Was it all online?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

I do and base my opinions on the facts.

You work for the Feds now do you? Hmmm

All of the mass shooters are American-born. None of the Jidhadist terrorists entered the country via the southern border. The 9/11 terrorists just flew straight in.

We will just have to disagree on that one.

He was American-born and served in the U.S. military.

Yes, we know and?

It's not my opinion. He was American-born and served in the U.S. military. You can have any opinion even when the facts do not substantiate it.

No one is arguing with or disagreeing with you on that, but when it comes to the connections, we have to wait and see, that is ongoing and no one can stop that, once it’s concluded then we will know more.

Why did a right-wing Trump supporter become a deadly Jihadist?

In NY? lol

Was it all online?

Maybe…

Acts of random violence on civilians perpetrated by psychologically disturbed individuals are only to be expected in a violent 21st society like the USA that meddles militarily in many countries around the world creating myriad "enemies". Even for "sane" citizens the present state of the world with its daily horrors we see on social media and the deafening silence we hear from the political classes complicit can cause great distress.

Even so, she noted, “any idiot” can rent a vehicle.

Very true, but ditto for leaders who can and do rent armies to kill vast numbers of innocent civilians without batting an eyelid.

A Muslim was killed in the New Orleans attack and his family held a funeral yesterday.

You have posted hundreds of comments about how you don't trust the FEDS but now you do.

Nothing has changed with this administration, but since it is coming to an end and since many are leaving and many that are dedicated and want to do their jobs with dignity and without prejudice, I do see some hope.

Facts are facts.

many that are dedicated and want to do their jobs with dignity and without prejudice, I do see some hope.

The FBI and other intelligence agencies depend on a dedication to facts, not on loyalty to Trump's personal opinions.

Facts are facts.

Then no need to argue, I made them abundantly clear.

The FBI and other intelligence agencies depend on a dedication to facts, not on loyalty to Trump's personal opinions.

Exactly!! Again, we agree, which is why Wray lost his job. Now you are talking.
