Sending men to their deaths. Nearly 1,200 Russian soldiers were recently killed in a single day around Bakhmut. It is possible 270,000 have been killed.

Soon there won’t be any men left at all in Russia

How much are they gonna get paid for 10 centimeters of land that they might conquer?

1 frozen salmon? One cabbage? Or just another black plastic bag?

I mean, this here says it all:

The ad said the soldier would also get tax and loan repayment breaks, preferential university admission status for his children.......

They only should've added: "....... since he won't return"! Can't collect tax or loan payments from someone who has been sent thru the meat grinder!

These are the types that would vote against Putin or participate in riots against the government anyways. With an election coming up, he's probably glad that they have fled the country.

What does that say about your hero, that he murders or drives into exile anyone that disagrees with him?

They forgot to mention the free trip home in a body bag.

That’s your idea of freedom is it?

My advice, if you are reading, kids, is don't do it. Don't sign up to be a bit part in Putin's ego drama. He doesn't care about you one bit.

Because it’s not a given. Secondary deployment often involves permanent placement providing organic fertilizer for sunflower fields, or highly secret special ops inside transportable incinerators.

Whatever Putin offers to recruit fighters, he can never match the fighting incentive of lovely houris (heavenly virgins), the reward given to (dead) jihadis. Bakhmut will soon be one more lesson in Putin's steep learning curve (that you can't fool all of the people all of the time).

Ouch.

If the average Russian has any sense about what's going on in Ukraine, then they will stay the hell away from joining the military just as millions of young people in America did during the Vietnam War. This is Russia's Vietnam War.

Two truthful Russian Recruiting slogans:

"Go to a foreign country, get killed."

Or

"Go to a foreign country, dial this phone number to surrender to your brothers there."

For information on how to surrender to a prisoner of war, Russian servicemen or their relatives should call the 24-hour numbers: +38 066 580 34 98 and +38 093 119 29 84.

Another sign that Putin is desperate. Russian men aren't answering the callup and the UN sanctions are kicking him in the gonads.

That would be the only thing guaranteed free. Putin cannot be expected to honor his promises to the recruits and enlistees. He doesn't care about any of them at all. Join the Russian Army, go to Ukraine and fight in an illegal war and go straight to Never-Never Land, never to return alive.

Russia isn't paying the soldiers it has in the field now.

against $100 billion in NATO weapons?

I always wonder about that.

It’s difficult to find the answer to a problem when you begin with a false premise and the wrong information.

$100 billion for example.

You’ll have to just keep ‘wondering’

Can you explain how unpaid, ill equipped and poorly trained drunken conscripts are able to hold the line against $100 billion in NATO weapons?

Any Russian soldiers trying to leave the front line or return without being severely injured and you get a bullet in the head from your own side. That tends to put a little steel in your underwear. Same tactics that kept the USSR alive in WWII. Barbaric and shows the value placed on Russian lives by their own leaders. Nil! Just tools to be used.

Heck, that must be a pretty easy recruiting pitch...

Come join the Russian Army and get issued a real WW II-era rifle (maybe)...

Get a ride in a real Korea War tank...

See NATO HIMARs and Javelins up close and personal...

But hey, it's your choice...if you decline, we'll lead you up to the 8th floor for a quick exit out the building...

And yet they keep holding the line and pressing forward in Bakmut.

Bakmut holds. Ukraine prevails.
