Good show on tv the other night with a man following the refugee trail. More people lied to him and then disappeared as the show was rolling along and being taped. Some claimed to lose their passports, others were found out to be fake husbands. etc. etc. Good luck Europe.

A string of sex assaults and robberies during New Year’s celebrations in Germany has fuelled debate about the country’s ability to integrate large numbers of migrants, after police said that men who targeted dozens of women

You see Merkel. There are thousands of young, bearded, islamic men roaming the streets of Germany in frustration. They want Sharia Law too. In which a man may rape a woman, but she cannot testify against the rapist and the seriousness is taken so lightly. All those refugees in Germany, what nonsense!

5 ( +12 / -7 )

This kind of thing was inevitable. YOu open the doors to vasts numbers of people from the world's most dangerous regions without checking their background, and this is the kind of risk that emerges. It aint rocket science.

Achieving Merkel's multicultural dream is going to require quite a bit of sacrifice, patience and even suffering from her people. They better get used to it, because it's set to get a lot worse.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

Confirmation bias much? There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that the perpetrators of any of these crimes were migrants. But because everybody wants to blame the migrants, they will.

Cologne’s police chief Wolfgang Albers said no arrests have been made yet. “We don’t currently have any suspects, so we don’t know who the perpetrators were. All we know is that the police at the scene perceived that it was mostly young men aged 18 to 35 from the Arab or North African region.”

Integrating such a large number of migrants is no easy task. Equally difficult is trying to integrate into a society that appears to actively not want you there in the first place. I think many of us in Japan have experience a small manifestation of this kind of societal non-acceptance.

This is not a problem with migrants being terrible people. This is simply a problem with migrants being regular people and people vilifying them for it; People in desperate situations lie, they manipulate the rules to better their situation.

. . . .jeee I hope those islamic refugees behave as soon as obama / kerry let them step off. I feel sorry for them, when the girls they try to sexually assault tell their bf.

At least 90 criminal complaints have been filed, including one allegation of rape, police said.

This is just the beginning. Meanwhile kudos to Japan for keeping out refugees described in this article.

5 ( +14 / -9 )

Better get used to it. Merkel et al brought this upon Germany and Europe; they should be surprised by it now.

They could have looked up the rape statistics for e.g. Sweden, which is well ahead of the curve. But no, they cling to their PC illusions.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

I feel sorry for them, when the girls they try to sexually assault tell their bf.

I'll echo: conformation bias much? But I'm glad to read that you want women to be defended.

As a champion of the privileged US white male, who would you defend in the many cases of sexual assaults on university campuses? Hopefully not the privileged US white male; I'm sure you'll agree that all sexual assaults, regardless the perpetrator's race or religion, need to be defended against.

"Hopefully not the privileged US white male; I'm sure you'll agree that all sexual assaults, regardless the perpetrator's race or religion, need to be defended against."

"Privileged US white males" also tend to get arrested and have their names, faces and personal details disclosed in the media.

http://www.startribune.com/charges-onetime-u-student-raped-woman-at-frat-party-another-at-his-apartment/363639481/

And the same treatment has occurred even when white men are innocent!

http://dailycaller.com/2015/12/24/rolling-stone-wants-lawsuit-filed-over-fabricated-uva-rape-story-thrown-out-of-court/

I too hope for fair and proper treatment for the perpetrators in Cologne, although the Merkel-lovers and left wingers will probably do their best to prevent full disclosure. That would be perfectly in line with the absolute lack of public consultation over the govt's highly controversial open borders move last summer.

I have been to the middle east and can tell you that this is only the beginning. How about sending your daughters to Europe on a student exchange and see what happens when they walk around these animals and you get that phone call in the middle of the night that she was assaulted by these ME migrants.

No real identity checks, peoples from all over the ME rushing into Europe and all the Merkel types and their unbiased (LOL) journalists showing us only photographs and videos of women and children and not the vast majority were actually young ME men who as any well travelled person knows are not fit to be in a normal society that values their women, children and families. Europe is doomed thanks to the stupidity of Merkel and her cronies.

15 ( +20 / -5 )

Political leaders including Chancellor Angela Merkel condemned the attacks.

Merkel and her followers are unable to rule the country. They showed incompetence when praised mobsters in Ukrainian capital two years ago. Then they opened doors for radical islamists and welcomed them in Germany.

A prominent and respected group of NGO's, migrant/refugee advisory groups addressed the European Parliament with documented evidence of harrowing, horrific, and systematic abuse of migrating women of all ages, including children.

Falling back on gratuitous self satisfying ideologically motivated hand wriggling, in a misguided attempt to divert criminal responsibility to these extreme sexual violent acts away from the perpetrators to avoid the politically controversial realities, is cowardly and despicably shameful.

The 'open door' policy advocated by Angela Merkel is directly responsible for what amounts to a mass influx of Illegal immigrants. The German Federal Police responsible for law enforcement have been overwhelmed, overshadowing genuine Asylum Seeker fleeing the brutal ravages of war in the Middle East. A fact that sooner or later Angela Merkel, and the European Commission must take full responsibility for, no if or buts.

The Schengen Agreement must be repealed, all immigrants refusing to cooperate by providing information necessary to process their application be held in secure detention.

Barbara Helfrich of the charity Paritaetischer Bund in the central state of Hesse, said some women had come forward. "We have several trustworthy reports on sexual violence and assaults from victims, as well as advisory groups and NGOs," she told Reuters

In a recent open letter, several charities alleged crimes had been committed a city shelter in the state. "There are several cases of rape and sexual assault and increasingly even reports on forced prostitution," the joint letter said, adding that these were not isolated incidents. With men accounting for about 70 percent of asylum seekers, other groups across the country have demanded gender-segregated accommodation and safe zones for women

Perhaps in the back of Merkles mind lies guilt over the Third Reich & by allowing these people in she could say "See how Good we germans are!"- Well, now she can meet the Next Reich up close & personal. . There goes The E.U.!

What so frustratingly upsetting , sitting outside the Japanese Embassy in Seoul, SK, rightly or wrongly, is a statue. What does that Statue represent? What can the German Government and the European Commission learn from its symbolism and message? .....

Angela Merkel advised the Government of Japan to face up to history. Yet in the here and now ...."There are several cases of rape and sexual assault and increasingly even reports on forced prostitution"....And the German Authorities are accused of turning a blind eye.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Merkel has reaped what she sowed with her policy of accepting tens of thousands of these migrants. This is only the beginning I am afraid. Let's hope German voters send her on her way for her treasonous behaviour.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

I'm all for immigration & assimilation efforts, but Merkel green-lighted a million economic migrants into the country. This is an absolutely outrageous number of people in such a short space of time - no doubt fake passports & questionable motives aplenty. How many are part of ISIS splinter cells under the guise of 'refugees'? How will the local economy cope with the influx of homeless people of all ages - employment, education & health?! So many questions...

5 ( +8 / -3 )

@WC . . . And on a US University campus, rape and sexual assault is unacceptable. But its even MORE unacceptable if the women were gangraped by nasty, barbaric, islamic m

Sorry, I see it differently: all sexual assaults, regardless where they occur, are equally reprehensible. My point in bringing up US problems was to say physician, heal thy self. You are a US American: why aren't you doing something about problems in your own country? Why aren't you doing something about white on white crimes? Are you self-appointing yourself as the world's policeman?

If in fact migrants and asylum seekers are proven to have committed the crimes, they should be arrested, tried, and if found guilty jailed, and then upon completion of their sentence sent back to wherever they came from. But before forming an opinion, I'll wait until the truth has been determined. US-style frontier mob reactions rarely result in justice.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Might seem a little radical of me, but immigrants who commit crimes should be immediately brought back to where they came from, no matter the excuse. I've been disgusted by these politics for quite a while now.

And her solution to the mess she caused is "We can do it." No how, no when. Ridiculous.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Anyone still want to nitpick countries like Japan that strictly control refugees/immigration?

10 ( +13 / -3 )

My point in bringing up US problems was to say physician, heal thy self.

Your point was a pathetic deflection to shield yourself from the cognitive dissonance of believing in concepts like 'rape culture' while simultaneously supporting the mass migration of people who actually come from an actual rape culture.

And for the person with the audacity to actually argue these weren't migrants - mind pointing out all the 1,000 men mass sexual assault cases perpetrated by native Germans over the past couple decades? NEVER MIND THAT EYE WITNESSES HAVE CONFIRMED THE SUSPECTS WERE ARAB. The cognitive dissonance this story has created for 'progressives' is insane.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

And for the person with the audacity to actually argue these weren't migrants

NEVER MIND THAT EYE WITNESSES HAVE CONFIRMED THE SUSPECTS WERE ARAB

I'll wait until the police and courts have made their determinations.

I'll repeat my point: US, heal thy self. Stop telling the world what its problems are when you have so many you're ignoring. And causing. (refugee crisis anyone?)

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

The Utopia would be the whole world as borderless as Swiss. But once again I'm as 100% pro-immigration as I'm 100% against anything anti-freedom. Hordes of people with twisted cultures that imprisons the human being navigating through the most liberal, progressive societies in the world, thousands of young men from a culture with little respect for the dignity of women pouring into Europe... a recipe for disaster.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

First, this story is only the tip of an iceberg. A lot of cases of sexual assaults on local women by migrant occupiers go unreported, the police is reluctant to investigate because they are quickly called racists if they do they job. It seems that migrants are beyond the law in Europe now.

Second, it is just a beginning. Without proper response from law enforcement the bands of migrants would only be more and more brazen. Germany goes down the drain with its politcorrectness. What a pity, it was such a nice country.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

First, this story is only the tip of an iceberg. A lot of cases of sexual assaults on local women by migrant occupiers go unreported, the police is reluctant to investigate because they are quickly called racists if they do they job

If true, that's very concerning. Do you have a link to more info on this?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Merkel's friends are now blaming the rape/sexual assault victims for these incidents. Typical.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/mayor-of-cologne-says-women-should-have-code-of-conduct-to-prevent-future-assault-a6798186.html

"I'll wait until the police and courts have made their determinations."

Evidence could now become much harder to collect. Several reports say the authorities ignored victims' first reports and delayed disclosure, waiting 5 days to announce the incident. Deliberate? Nawwwww.

"Do you have a link to more info on this?"

Links there are tons of them. Thousands of white underage girls in England have been systemically raped by dozens of gangs of Muslim men in about a dozen towns. A Times reporter -- not the authorities -- disclosed this. He and later other media reported an extensive coverup by police, courts and social workers, many of whom at the time blamed --you guessed it -- the victims, a large percentage of whom were children. Keep it classy, English police and social workers!

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-28934963

As for Germany, the link abovve mentions same incident in Hamburg, and some other source yesterday said STuttgart as well. I could visit the net and get tons more links for you, but I can't be bothered. .

6 ( +8 / -2 )

I read on BBC news a policeman claimed to have detained 8 suspects outside the train station and they were all asylum seekers. Anyone know what happens to their asylum claims if they're found guilty?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I'm sure Merkel will blame the victims, rather than the attackers. This is what you get when you are unwilling to defend your country: the invaders will come and take what they want. Raping and pillaging in this case.

Migration Insights.....OECD view

Europe is facing a historical moment with one of the worst refugee crises in decades. Managing this emergency is complex but Europe has the experience and the capacity to cope. The OECD has been monitoring recent developments in migration movements and policies in OECD countries, and analysing integration policies of immigrants and their children into education and labour markets. Our work shows that migration, if well managed, plays a positive role in the economy spurring growth and innovation

@itsonly... Thanks for the links and the quote.

It's impossible to argue that there haven't been problems with European countries taking in such a large number of refugees and it's naive to think there won't be more ahead. How big the problems are in different parts of Europe is probably only known by the various authorities. Who knows how Europe will be affected in the years ahead by the influx of peoples from different cultures.

My biggest argument on this site is with the US Americans who are unwilling to accept that their country has many problems they should address before telling other countries what to do, especially those who won't admit that it was US actions - my Occam's Razor understanding - that triggered the refugee crisis.

The US has its own terrorists it should be focusing on, starting with the ya'llQaeda type white extremists in Oregon.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

"those who won't admit that it was US actions....that triggered the refugee crisis."

Most are Syrians, and Syria's civil war is a direct result of the "Arab Spring," a regional grassroots movement that had basically nothing to do with the US. Further, the Assads have long been clients of the East Bloc, not the West, which supports adversary Israel.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Most are Syrians, and Syria's civil war is a direct result of the "Arab Spring," a regional grassroots movement that had basically nothing to do with the US.

No, the US is very much behind the Syrian crisis. The initial peaceful grassroots protests in Syria were quickly uprooted by US/Saudi-backed terrorists. If European countries had criticized this US/Saudi meddling in Syria, instead of applauding it, this immigration crisis would have been averted.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

That must be Arab way of celebrating New Year.

Spanki:

" Anyone know what happens to their asylum claims if they're found guilty? " Nothing. Germany has hardly been deporting anybody, and anyway the bureacracy is so overloaded that any applicant can expet to way years for a result.. in the meantime, they are free to roam the country. Did I mention that bus and train travel is also free for the illegal immigrants?

Meanwhile, another million is expected for next year, with no end in sight. I have idea what Angela Merkel is thinking, but she is record of saying "God sent us the refugees".

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Have been in Köln 3 times last year, last time recently . . . as usual great diverse city with its multicultural social problematic issues.

The mass sexual harassement here has nothing to do with the immigrant crisis, nor anything with radical islam, the middle east wars or anything related.

Europe faces 2016, no more the year 1999. Back then black north african an arabian north african men with criminal potential traveling to europe had a tough time organising them selves . . . no internet no smart phones.

What we saw in Köln was the new potential of these criminal gangs of men coming from poor, a-social and sometimes criminal backgrounds in north africa via Portugal, spain and then stranding at major european city train stations.

The crime rates of these groupes has been spiraling high recently anywhere, mostly groupes fighting them selves with knifes. . . . in Köln a large groupe of maybe 50 to 100 men organised a flash mob theft and at the same time went berserk on women who obviously were enjoying clubbing in the Streets. . . . an organised flash mob with no corrdinated motivation that went in to sexual assault in my view , nothing else.

I hear the dump neo-nazis using this incident for anti-arabian-muslim-african-ethnic propaganda.

Young refugees have different issues then hanging around at the Köln Station in the cold, assaulting white women . . . these perpetrators are organized immigrated criminals, no refugees . . . not runing away from something, if just their own past povrety possibly.

Hi Kakikaki, Your opinion then on this report....

Silence on sex crimes will make racism worse.....

http://www.thelocal.de/20160105/brushing-sexual-assault-under-the-carpet-is-foolish

in addition to the 25,000 deaths at the hands of people smugglers, Frontex, Europe's border management agency warned no less than 20 different occasions that many were illegal immigrates. This is not a one off indecent. Do you think this is all just propaganda?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Wow, the hate is really ooooooozing from our resident Islamaphobes. When right-wing nuts start attacking sundry brown people in Germany in "revenge" you can all be proud for yourselves for jumping the gun,

The sex attacks are apparently an orchestrated event, the perps full of beer; so I'm going to ignore the bigots and wait for the police to investigate before forming an opinion, as crazy as this might sound.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

I'll repeat my point: US, heal thy self. Stop telling the world what its problems are when you have so many you're ignoring. And causing. (refugee crisis anyone?)

The US can say what it wants especially if other countries are taking our money and the countries need our assistant publicly or behind closed doors, the US has the right to give its opinion and recommendations and as for the refugee crisis, how is that the fault of the US?

My biggest argument on this site is with the US Americans who are unwilling to accept that their country has many problems they should address before telling other countries what to do,

I think that is a total and outlandish myth. The US is definitely aware of the plights and problems we're facing as a nation, if you haven't notice how ruthless this election has been so far concerning the issues at hand. That doesn't mean, the people and leaders can't chew gum and walk at the same time.

especially those who won't admit that it was US actions - my Occam's Razor understanding - that triggered the refugee crisis.

Please elaborate.

The US has its own terrorists it should be focusing on, starting with the ya'llQaeda type white extremists in Oregon.

The Great thing about the US is, it's quite efficient when it comes to multitasking.

I would tend to agree with you.

The sex attacks are apparently an orchestrated event, the perps full of beer; so I'm going to ignore the bigots and wait for the police to investigate before forming an opinion, as crazy as this might sound.

I thought muslims weren't supposed to drink alcohol....Imprison them...then deport 'em all back to under the stones they crawled out from ....sooner the better

You can have all the strange bedfellows you want but, there is one in particular who can't wait to strangle you in your sleep. Wake up or die. Merkel let them in and they will destroy Europe.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Yeah, I'm not sure this had anything to do with actual Syrian migrants. Only because there were already more than enough young unemployed middle eastern and north african men loitering around Europe's train stations long before the migrants came. You can see them everywhere, with their skinny jeans, hands in their pockets, speaking Arabic, seemingly oblivious to the invention of deodorant. Alot of them are children of second generation refugees who have never integrated. Look for these kinds of incidents to peak in 16-18 years from now.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Bobsap:

" I thought muslims weren't supposed to drink alcohol.... "

The "belly full of beer" was just the usual phantasing by our resident islamopologists.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the mayor of Cologne has already jumped in, putting part of the blame on the victims. Like the school principle in Passau, who warned his female high school students to dress "modestly" in order not to "confuse" the young Arab men who are housed in the gym of his school, the mayor warns Colognes women from now on to wear baggy, shape, disguising clothes, islamic style.

I wonder how long it takes a German politician to suggest the full burka, in the interest of safety? I certainly hope Angela Merkel should go first and show the way.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Hi M3M3M3, Between the last week of October until the 2nd week in December, I was flitting back and forth between Frankfurt and London and I didn't not witness any incidences that could be described as out of the ordinary.

In Frankfurt there were groups of young men of all nationalities, East European etc, etc. However colleagues kept recanting incidents of harassment and criminality, warning me to take care. Reading the testimony's of victim published by NGO/Women's lobbying group the LandesFrauenRat (LFR) Hessen, it is very difficult to ignore.

To dismiss these women's testimony's, provides the far right with the platform to fan the flames of the vilest form of racial hatred.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

@itsonlyrocknroll

I'm guessing the men at the stations are mostly involved in pickpocketing and petty opportunistic criminality. Either that or they're railroad enthusiats. I don't know why else anyone would stand outside a train station (which I mostly see in Italy and France). I was on late night TGV from Strasbourg to Paris a couple of weeks ago and 3 of these charming individuals were sitting in my reserved seat (or at least one of them was, not all 3). Thankfully there was another empty seat available for me. They obviously hadn't bought a tickets but when the ticket inspector came around and saw them, he quickly left. I guess he isn't paid enough to risk his safety, and I can't blame him.

To dismiss these women's testimony's, provides the far right with the platform to fan the flames of the vilest form of racial hatred.

I completely agree. I consider myself to be a super liberal but this entire migrant fiasco has really put that to the test. I suspect alot of Europeans will be voting for the far right in future elections which is really unfortunate. They simply no longer trust the centre left to abide by the will of the people.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

When right-wing nuts start attacking sundry brown people in Germany in "revenge" you can all be proud for yourselves for jumping the gun,

And when muslims emigrate to western societies and commit sex crimes, you think we should tolerate that?

You might have missed that was NY eve, and the square in front of Cologne railway station in the center of town is a traditional party place that night, like NY Times Square. Until now, mass molestation and rape was not part of the NY eve party, but that probably has changed now for good.

Hopefully we will see indigenous Europeans start to wake up and do what needs to be done to preserve their indigenous Christian cultures. Europe needs more Muslims like it needs a hole in the head. Yep, those scores of women who were molested and raped and identified their rapists as Arab speaking young men must all be right-wingers who don´t know what happened to them. It is obvious, isn´t it.

In the event, the descriptions of what happened to the women in Cologne, Hamburg, and other towns sounds exactly what what happened to women in Tahrir square in Cairo during the Arab Spring there (including the rape of the CNN reporter, remember that?).

Well, the Arab Spring has now arrived in Germany, and NY eve parties will never be the same. The Mayor of Cologne is already warning German women to be careful during the upcoming Carneval.

Now they won´t. Read their manifesto. They simply want the German government to follow existing laws. But for this they are lambasted by Angela Merkel and smeared by the media. Apparently, a civil society, where politicians are not above the law is too much to ask.
