An appeals court suspended Rudy Giuliani from practicing law in New York on Thursday because he made false statements while trying to get courts to overturn Donald Trump’s loss in the presidential race.

Ha ha ha, poor rudy.

Put his reputation on the line for a guy who refused to pay him. Now he neither has money nor a reputation.

Nice to see that acting like an insane troll still has some sort of consequences in America.

All’s not lost for rudy, he can join SNL and play himself.

Earlier people just laughed at him, now they will pay money to do so.

This will never get old. One for the ages.

Next step disbarment. Step after that is Leavenworth.

I agree with Rudy Giuliani! The system is rigged!

How else can you explain the fact that he isn't in an orange jumpsuit yet? And look at those other shady associates of Rudy's and Trump's. Roger Stone, Manafort, Flynn, etc., etc., . . . They're ALL FREE and they're criminals.

So, yeah, Rudy's right. The system is definitely rigged! And Rudy's lucky that it is.

Throw him into the garbage with the rest of the Trump trash.

Remember, on 9/10 Rudy was thought to be a Rube and a nut. One could argue that he is just reverting to form.

Just how unethical an attorney does on have to be to become immediately ineligible to practice law? The answer: Rudy-level bad.

And this is just the start. He’s going to prison

Good riddance, dirty old pervert!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I’m sure he won’t sweat it.

(Thank you, I’ll be here all week).

Good. Giuliani is a disgrace to the practice of law. He needs to be disbarred.

Disbarred? Why? That would mean he engaged in unlawful legal practice? Yeah, liberals want that, but he did no such thing, he didn’t violate any ethics rule or did anything unlawful, so the desperate TDS haters did the only one thing that they thought might help to satiate their hunger for revenge and that’s suspending his license, which also means, it can be reinstated at any given time, so this means in the long term nothing, but ok, libs get a shot hurrah and it might make the haters happy, but again, it’s not a disbarment and the Dems won’t get that win. Lol

Always trying to find a way to twist an enmabrrassing loss into a long term win that never materialises. Must be a medical term for it.

You may not like that the court concluded that "(Rudy) violated professional conduct rules as he promoted theories that the election was stolen through fraud", which is an ethics violation. This left him open to being disbarred. Please do not stretch the boundaries of permissible behavior which constitutes knowingly promoting lies as the truth further, just because the lies support your agenda. This is not TDS, this is not a liberal mentality. This is Rudy being punished for spewing election falsehoods which is in violation of the standards he has to maintain in order to remain a lawyer in good standing.

He was abandoned and thrown under the bus

And seen multiple times together since then

He never got over his pantomime at the Four Seaons car park. It was then his client realised he was in deep trouble if that was the best his hair dye runner could do.

Ok, so nothing to add, just gloating? Interesting. Lol

You may not like that the court concluded that "(Rudy) violated professional conduct rules as he promoted theories that the election was stolen through fraud", which is an ethics violation.

Well, not really, if it were, they could have easily disbarred him in his home state and they didn’t because he didn’t violate conduct ethic rules, the Dems just showed their hand yet, again.

This left him open to being disbarred. Please do not stretch the boundaries of permissible behavior which constitutes knowingly promoting lies as the truth further, just because the lies support your agenda.

Sorry, but with all due respect that is utter BS. Disbar the guy if that’s the case. Why suspend him when you can just get rid of the problem entirely? Because they can’t in the same way that Biden’s DOJ can’t charge these protesters with insurrection, they can only charge them with trespassing and unlawful breaking and entering and that’s it.

This is not TDS, this is not a liberal mentality.

Pretty much the same thing

This is Rudy being punished for spewing election falsehoods which is in violation of the standards he has to maintain in order to remain a lawyer in good standing.

Thank God that can be overturned at anytime, I would have been more displeased if Rudy had been disbarred, no recourse, but this, easily rectified.

bass: Well, not really

This is a compelling argument, but I'm going to have to go with the professionals on this one.

Rudy still has one more chance to prove his case. I'm interested in the witnesses he will call for his defense and the conversations they had.

“I defended an unpopular client.

Man, Trump and his supporters ain’t gonna like that statement.

Hmmmm.....defending Rudy....then you must believe he was telling the truth when he said in court under oath;

*In a recent Pennsylvania federal case, Giuliani alleged “widespread, nationwide voter fraud” in his opening remarks. But under questioning from the judge, he retreated. “This is not a fraud case,” Giuliani later admitted.*

Good to see you so clearly disagreeing with Trump...

Talk about a fall from grace....

Going from a respected federal prosecutor that took down organized crime families, then went on to be a successful mayor who led the response to the 9/11 attacks....

To a guy under federal criminal investigation for illegal campaign contributions and illegally representing a foreign government, who was caught on camera with his hands down his pants with an alleged 15 year old girl, to literally melting down during a press conference, to mistaking a Four Seasons Lumber Yard for a Four Seasons hotel across from an adult bookstore, to now being suspended from law practice....

How low can you go? For Rudy, given the current criminal investigations, a lot lower....as in prison cell....

False statements? He lied and knew he was lying.

His license shouldn't just be suspended. He should be disbarred. So should any other lawyer who lies "on the record." Additionally, he should be blocked from holding any public office, including dog catcher.

I vehemently disagree.

Ok, so nothing to add, just gloating?

Nothing wrong with that.

This guy, ‘ghoulie Giuliani’ I like to call him. Terrible ratings as a lawyer, just the worst, the worst. Lost his license like a dog, terrible really. Sad.

Dementia perhaps?

As an officer of the court, which is what attorneys are considered to be, they are not allowed to submit as evidence in to a court material that is probably false. Attorney's are expected to be truthful and not lie to the court. When it can be shown an attorney submitted false information to a court as evidence then the attorney is sanctioned, could even lose their law license. That is what is happing here.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Couldn't happen to a better guy.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

One the one hand, lol. On the other, Giuliani hasn't been legitimately practising law in years. As evidenced by this. So, I mean, whatever.

bass is just afraid because he's spent years saying "thank God Bill Clinton can't practise law in Arkansas" (as if Arkansas law matters to him or it's something a former President would even be interested in doing), and now there's a direct parallel with someone he worships, because Giuliani also worships Trump.
