I have not heard this stats of 1% rape committed by women. INTERESTING!! I will check with district court here to see if there has been any cases tried since the definition changed.
Frungy
Let me save you the effort. Even before they changed the definition (which made it nearly impossible for a woman to rape a man) 1% of rapes were commited by women. Expect this figure to be much higher with the new definition.

i think I am too short on what I have said on my post. There have been male rape caused by male, but not by women to my understanding. Well, thanks to the web. I will check into that. But so far, I have not heard any male rape case caused by woman in US Courts.
Frungy
You haven't posted a definition, you've posted a whole webpage on the topic of sexual arousal. I have no idea what part of the page you're referring to.
As for your statement that "no male rape has ever been tried in US courts". You're wrong. The definition of rape was changed on January 2012 (http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/attorney-general-eric-holder-announces-revisions-to-the-uniform-crime-reports-definition-of-rape). Unfortunately there are no new rape statistics out yet for 2012, but expect to see a sharp rise in male rape statistics.
Even before that though 9% of rape victims have been male, and unable to receive any justice.

Plenty of women get wet when they're being raped, and plenty of guys get hard. It isn't voluntary.
You may want to legally challenge your argument to American Bar Association. The definition I have posted here is a simple base why no male rape has ever been tried in US courts.

There is a law in New Zealand that needs to be fixed asap.

Here's a simple biology lesson for you. There are two types of nervous system reactions, autonomic (involuntary) and somatic (voluntary). Things like reaching for a cup of tea are somatic because you choose to do so. Things like your heart beating and sexual arousal are examples of autonomic, because you have no control over them (don't believe me? try stopping your heart just by wanting it to stop).

No rape applied to male.
Reason listed below:
Male has to be sexually arosed (desire for sex) to get a "hard one" before engaing in sexual activity and it has to stay "hard" while female organ does not have to. I hope you know the difference. It is simply a biology.

And what about the baby? Or how would the 11 year-old have explained an STD?
presto345
A misunderstanding here.
Here as well.
Do we speak English here? This is about the rape charge not applicable to the woman, the adult who was not raped, but coerced the boy into having sex with her.
FizzBit
I love these drunken weekend posts (me included) "doing his mom's horny friend!" doing his friends horny mom? lol
Elbuda Mexicano
That is lucky boy!! 11 and doing his mom's horny friend! Sweet!!!!
doctorshankar
very confusing. but I note that this crime has happened not in Japan but elsewhere. happy about that.
Bazza
Double standards aside, every young lad's dream, I'm sure.
Unless some form of coercion is involved- I doubt very much he will be emotionally damaged and may be grateful to her for assisting him through an important part of growing up.
In the reverse situation- old bloke with young girl, the bloke would be looking at a hefty and unpleasant jail sentence. Hypocritical indeed, but that's the way the world is.

"it's just odd that the specific rape charge is not applicable in this case"
The kid didn't rape her. He had sex with her.
FizzBit
I feel sorry for the kid, I DO think he's going to have problems later in life. Not surprising though. New Zealand ranked #2 back in 2008 for rapes per capita.

spudman: "No she will be prosecuted for sexual violation, not rape. Did you read the article?"
I did, and sorry but I consider her to be getting off 'Scott free' on any kind of rape charge... or is that not the case? My question is why the charge is limited to men. That she's going to be charged with something else -- likely carrying a much lesser sentence -- is not the point when it comes to NZ's rape laws.
NZ2011
She will be charged with sexual violation, it's just odd that the specific rape charge is not applicable in this case. The NZ gov is looking if this law needs changing.
More information; The woman was manipulating the young man who was a friend of her son, and supplying them alcohol and encouraging them to skip school over a several month period. And it was the boy that went forward to his school principal because he felt it wasn't right.
South Auckland so possibly some other social-economic and education issues too.
CGB Spender
Somehow I don't believe this boy, when he is older, will have any psychological problems. Quite the opposite instead.

This is absurd!
iceshoecream
Wow! Talk about double standards.

A person sexually attracted to children has stolen a boy's innocence and childhood. Text book pedophilia.
smithinjapan
Now, I do of course realize the majority, if not nearly all, rapes are committed by men, I cannot understand why the law ONLY applies to men when it's evident it happens the other way around from time to time. I mean, the woman 'gets off' Scott free? Does the kid have to pay child support? help raise the baby while the boy is a mere 11?
PeaceWarrior
Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor! Un flipping believable.
Serrano
This is not rape. Rape is when a man forces a woman to have intercourse.
But it's still wrong. Adult women should not be having sex with 11-year-old boys.
Over Tour
The boy achieved what most men fail to do, boy must be blessed.
spudman
Akemi, it is illegal, it's male rights groups wanting a headline that get simple folk fired up. Calm down.
The crime of rape only applies to males. As in many countries.
SuperLib
Is "forced" really required? There can be quite a bit of mental manipulation a 36-year old man/woman can do to an 11-year old boy/girl. That implies that there is a time when an 11-year old can consent (i.e. no force required so there is no crime.)
It's also been well documented that women who do the same crimes as men receive much lighter sentences in the same way that black men get harsher sentences than white men. Hopefully they will expand this kind of investigation.
Akemi Mokoto
Ok ok ok. Let me get this straight. A male child having sex with a female adult is not illegal in New Zealand but god forbid it happens in an anime and then it is a MAJOR crime? Dear god!
Jaymann
The women should have aborted the foetus.
