I'm good with reducing his sentence from life down to 20 years per person. He will be released in 3042.

This guy killed 51 people due to a white supremist hateful outlook of other races and cultures, yet is attempting to appeal his sentence.

The result of Brenton Tarrant's appeal should be and, must be, a doubling of his sentence. And all news and pictures of him thrown into a black hole. And there should be and, must be, no news of his death. He does not exist any more in the world.

He can rot.

Appeal life sentence? Ok, wish granted, death it is.

adding his guilty plea was obtained under duress.

So if they had asked him nicely he would have pleaded not guilty ?

Airdrop him into Baghdad. I'm sure they'll ask him nicely.

Nah, you get what you work for man. No appeals for him. Do the crime, do the time.

Good luck with that scum bag.

Never in a million years.

Tarrant was considering appealing the verdict, adding his guilty plea was obtained under duress.

Seeing how there is no doubt he is guilty of the crimes he is accused of changing his plea does not seem to be the winning strategy he thinks it is. At least this appeal means incarceration is fulfilling its purpose as punishment.

To be convicted of such atrocity, in all honesty must mean a life in solitary confinement without recourse to literature, any media, TV etc, the minimum of personal facilities, a toilet and hand basin bolted to the wall,

The minimum of exercise, enough nutrition to sustain life,

There are punishments some would consider worse than death.

And yet this cheeky clown has the cynicism to appeal his well-deserved life sentence, they should better execute him..

New Zealand is a civilised country and hence there is no death penalty.

What can he appeal, being a murdering racist? Live streaming his crime? Release him after removing his limbs his tongue his eyes. Or keep him in jail. Slowly deteriorating in confinement seems fair.

He can rot.

Damn straight!

I'm sure you guys are just as upset at Muslim terrorists, right?

Yep. They can rot too. What statement are you trying to make?

Haaa Nemui, Well said.

Killed 51 humans. Death penalty.

There's no price he can pay high enough for those people, their families, or society to cover the loss of their lives. And immediate physical castration is necessary too. Can't have him reproducing, ever.

Brenton Tarrant, must be held fully accountable for his reprehensible despicable crimes against the most innocent in society, humanity

While alive.

His must reflect on the appalling savagery, ruthlessness.

Retribution must be equal to his ferity.

Not revenge, no, Justice can be harsh yet delivered in a manner that takes into judicial and legislative need to accept the continued loss to the families.

For the rest of his natural life.

Just playing the system for 15 minutes more fame. A civilized country would have buried him months ago in a shallow, unmarked grave.

And yet this cheeky clown has the cynicism to appeal his well-deserved life sentence, they should better execute him..

This clown is more brazen and cynical than Trump and his gang of GOP politicians.

Good luck with that scum bag.

NZ is changing a lot as white middle class people feel threatened. It’s possible he could be released on good behavior in 25-30 years. White supremacy is spreading around Europe, scandinavia, Australia and even NZ. I don’t know about in the US, but I have heard about Arian brotherhood.
