Yes, I should have been more pragmatic in the use of term lockdown.

And preceptive to the understanding of the traffic light system.

It would be disingenuous to question that Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern heart is not in the right place.

Globally the pandemic is gradually stumbling into war between a regulatory framework of authoritarianism and freedoms of choice under the law.

It is a slippery slope. The Scottish Government temporary emergency powers is now to become permanent in a new bill.

Allowing powers to impose restrictions to movement, court hearings to take place remotely and restrict access to schooling. All without the need for scrutiny of tribunals.

It is easy to sleepwalk in these restrictions and behaviors

Err what? Hasnt she been telling us that the miracle vaccines protect us and are the way out of the epidemic? Surely she had her nth "booster", so what changed?

She following the advice the government gives when exposed to a close contact. Nothing to do with vaccines, because as we know, vaccines aren't 100% effective at stopping transmission.

Madame PM, you've been vaccinated and boostered. Go live your life. Do your job. Or maybe your Deputy PM should do it for you?

Wouldn't you agree that not spreading the virus and acting as a role model is her job?

I love stories about Ardern because I gain great satisfaction from the rage comments of the extreme-right-wingers who hate her for being EXTREMELY popular for her pandemic response, and shut down of right-wing losers.

Filming is important business ain’t it.

I don’t know exactly what they were filming, but in this case it’s something that was likely important. From another article -

The Prime Minister and Governor-General were in Northland undertaking advance filming at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, at the invitation of the Waitangi National Trust for the Waitangi Day broadcast.

@Reckless. Yes, she can and has done a lot wrong. She is focused on getting the spotlight and trying to control other people's lives.

Respects to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, however attempting to play an ideologically motivated Zero Covid whack a mole could have long lasting mental health consequences for the entire nation.

Covid with all it's variants hides from data view for weeks.

Human nature needs warmth and friendship of the contact of family and close friends.

This simple human right cannot be lockdown.

Let the people decide as adults to live with the pandemic.

And vaccinate every thing that moves.

Cannot hide from the outcome.

I doubt that this is a slippery slope. I would imagine that after the pandemic and when it becomes endemic, all public health measures will become unnecessary and be scrapped.
