That's horrible. If the 4 stars were silver and the entire background were black, that would look pretty cool. The NZ passports look really cool, they should copy those.

There's not a great deal of appetite for changing the flag at the moment. I suspect the current one will stay.

I like it too, but I feel sorry for all those school kids who will have to draw the thing.

a rather insipid offering for a national flag....

Half-hearted design and awful color palette.

Blue and black doesn't look great together. I agree with "hampton". All black background and silver stars...

What's wrong with the current flag?

It's got the British Union Jack in it, and they want to drop it.

Drawing the current flag at primary school wasn't a joy either so kiwi kids are used to spending time on their flag drawings - Japanese kids have it so much easier lol

That flag belongs at a gay pride festival.

Horrible. I won't be voting either way. The old flag is horrible too!

Barbados is dumping the queen as well to become a republic... this would be a great flag. Beautiful and everyone would say hey there's New Zealand

I like it.

Ok. Why do they want to drop it?

Me too. I think it looks cool.

A proud, dignified and easily recognisable flag - certainly to all sports fans in the world - and not copying/using another nations flag in the corner like us Aussies sadly do! Go for it Kiwis! Choose this design and we will hopefully follow you in a few years in having our own unique flag too.
