Any images that are released years after the event will certainly provide no new information. The images you should focus on are those that were shown on the first day, and never again except by those who copied them when they were first shown. I hope they will soon release the images confiscated from around the pentagon.

Since al-Quaida originally tried to destroy the towers with bombs back in 1993, and failed, it does not seem far fetched to think they would hedge their bets by using both bombs and planes the second time. Many people reported hearing secondary explosions well after the planes hit. There were even many reports that a bomb had been found. Good luck explaining those away. But if you look at videos of the North and South building collapsing, the floors above the impact collapsed first and the rest of the building could not take the stress. It was all straight up and down for the North Tower. The South Tower top came down a little cockeyed, but its still not going to look like Godzilla pushed it over. Its WTC7 that fell as if bombs blew out its base.

But these newly released photos tell us nothing really.

From his comment, it is obvious that he is not. Architects and demolition experts do not say "Heat, Structural Damage and Weight. That's how." Except for a few who have been later humiliated when questioned by architects or engineers.

These pictures have finally been released nearly a decade after the event.

What was the rush?

For those who think that the towers were blown up instead, the slow bending and fall as seen in these pictures proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was NO detonation. Hot steel loses its structural strength, in about 30 minutes of heating in a building fire. That is how steel is forged - it is soft when any hotter than "red" hot. Once the tops fell, the lower floors could not withstand the impact of the increasing falling weight. Case closed on the "someone must have blown them up" theory.

For you conspiracy theorists out there, there is still the "they knew about it beforehand" theory to fantasize about...

WTC7 had a hollow two story atrium at its base, and a gigantic diesel fuel tank under that, with pipes to the backup generators that the fuel was supposed to be for. The tank caught fire from the burning debris from the adjacent falling tower. When the tank blew, the few pillars holding up WTC7 were blown too. The explosions people think they heard were the usual miscellaneous detonations of various tanks of various stuff stored in the buildings - another common thing at most commercial building fires.

Firefighters and cops died in there because there was no way to get out fast enough. Autopsies are nobody's business but the coroner and the next of kin. Rest assured that the next of kin would have made a stink if there were bullet holes in their loved ones. Actually, no whole corpses either from the planes or the floors they crashed into were ever recovered.

The facts are fairly obvious. I was watching the TV when it all happened. I have college courses in fires and firefighting. I have seen movies of detonated buildings, the demolition of buildings, and the self-destruction of buildings from fire. Any idiot can ask provocative question - questions are NOT answers, they are not even facts! I know what I saw, and I have the expertise to understand it. The planes crashed into the buidings. Three floors at a time went up in flames, all the plastic, paper, wood and cloth in a cubicle world office on fire all at once. Temperatures easily high enough to soften girders, for more than enough time to soften girders, and the buildings SLUMPED as if made of taffy, not collapsed as if blown out.

Of course, any paranoid can find thin excuses to believe whatever they like...

He took three rolls of film with his Minolta camera, plus 245 digital shots. Semendinger said he gave the digital images to the 9/11 Commission and believes those images were released by the NSIT. In the days after the attack, he e-mailed some of the photos to friends and several were posted on the Internet.

Did you read the article? Seemed fairly clear. The photographer took these with his own camera, along with the digital shots. Those have long since been released. These shots were on HIS camera, and were never released.

There are many people who believe that al-Quaida conspired to destroy the WTC, conspired as in "a conspiracy", and did in fact know about it beforehand. Conspiracies do happen and foreknowledge too. Or do you think it was all done by one man on the spur of the moment? Investigations on the hijackers as they were learning to fly were halted, and the reasons are less than clear to me but orders came from above. And GWB's initial reaction seemed a little suspicious to me. It was a look like somebody put him on the spot. It does not seem unreasonable to believe that more than just al-Quaida knew what was going to happen.

I'd like to see some conclusive evidence that a passport can leave what was presumably someone's pocket, fly through a huge fire ball and collision at several hundreds of miles per hour.....and then glide through the air and go on to land more or less unscathed near to where the towers once stood for the FBI to scoop it up in a miraculously short time after millions of tons of rubble hit Ground Zero.

People saying I am not an architect are 100% correct. But I did pass basic science and do know about gravity, momentum and acceleration. Damage to upper part of a building, damaged structure at that point gets heated and soft, above weight comes down on it, momentum of that weight falling forces structural collapse of succeeding layers and it's a chain reaction baby. Sorry to dispel any of your conspiracies. Or maybe I have inside information. Who knows? The Shadow knows!

I live in a penthouse 50 stories up. It takes longer to go to the ground level in my elevator than the time it took both towers combined to fall. But dust that aside and lets see some of them pentagon photos.

Well, I'm still wondering how the ,"Pull it!" order for WTC7 all happened so quickly, given that it had not been struck by an aircraft. Wiring a building for demolition takes weeks, if not a couple of months, in built up areas.

As noted in the article, this video was taken privately. Once made public, of course news agencies are going to show it. Again, there is no need to dream up conspiracies to explain it. I think these are quite amazing images. I would imagine the heart of the officer who took them skipped many a beat while he witness this tragedy first hand, as did those of us who happened to see it live on TV here in Japan.

bushlover, There are a few people who cling to a couple of mistakes in identity with completely different people with the same names, reported in the media, made in the confusing days after the attacks and attempt to turn them into something they are not. This seems to be where that particular mistaken belief comes from. It is quite clear to anyone that the hijackers are dead.
