That's not going to be easy listening. Government killings seem to be on the rise, despite there denials. Best not to be a reporter in this day and age. The truth is dangerous.

Right, Cricky . "The press is the enemy of the people" and "Lock (political opponent) up!" has become the rallying cry of many even in the US. It is getting dangerous.

This is embarrassing for Saudi and the US; the Russians must be rubbing their hands with glee. This has worked out better than if the Russians themselves had bugged the Embassy and handed the information to Turkey.

The short version: 99% chance Saudia Arabia killed a prominent journalist; 0% chance the US will hold them accountable. If this doesn't make you angry, 0% chance that you are a human being. How long will the US let this hostile country control us? The problem is NOT Arab, the problem is NOT Muslim, the problem is clearly in our face, and the name for that problem is SAUDI ARABIA!

We don’t know that yet and as bad as it looks there might definitely be some repercussions that will come their way if they are indeed responsible for this.

It’s not as simple as people think. Remember, logic and not emotions can run this situation. There’s a lot at stake.

They are a problem, but the WH has to be careful how they approach this one.

= Remember, kissing the right people's backsides is way more important than human rights, especially a free press.

I find your stance baffling, considering you're a journalist.

" 99% chance Saudia Arabia killed a prominent journalist; 0% chance the US will hold them accountable"

Any chance any other nation will hold Saudi Arabia accountable? Why does it have to be the U.S.? How about Russia or China or Iran? No good?

I find your stance baffling, considering you're a journalist.

It shouldn’t be, I’m not a liberal, I don’t let emotion override my judgement or all the stakes that are involved in this.

If the US govt are ok with Saudi Arabia being behind the number one exporter of international terrorism like 9/11, I fear that justice will not be done in regard to Kashoggi.

The stakes? Forget journalism, human rights and plain murder. It's down to money in the end.

The barbarism is not just down to his murderers but those who are complicit in their excusing it.

The only way Turkey would have a recording, is if they have bugged the Saudi Embassy. Now, that would be a double edged sword for them, as what other Embassies would they have also bugged ?

So Trump would rather sell the Saudis arms instead of acting like a man and isolating them? Helluva poor leader, that boy.

If the US govt are ok with Saudi Arabia being behind the number one exporter of international terrorism like 9/11,

Nonsense, then you can make the opposing argument about the last administration supporting Iran.

I fear that justice will not be done in regard to Kashoggi.

Maybe not.

The stakes? Forget journalism, human rights and plain murder. It's down to money in the end.

Yes, stakes and sadly there’s nothing anyone can do about it, since money is everything in the end and that’s all that matters in the bigger scheme of things.

The barbarism is not just down to his murderers but those who are complicit in their excusing it.

Some may see it like that, others do not.

Saudi Arabia is a rich country stuck in the Middle Ages where hangings, amputations and torture are....commonplace!

Other countries IGNORE Saudi abuses due to reliance on oil.

Shall we all ignore....state murder?

What gets me about the left is, they complain when the President sticks his nose in foreign affairs, but once him to get tough on Russia, wants him to leave Kim alone so that we don’t get into WWIII, but think we should have a good relationship with Iran and Cuba, but need to excoriate Israel and kick Poland to the curb because it would be bad to side with them, now the left thinks we have to do something about the possible death of a Saudi Journalist when they said, we can’t and shouldn’t trust the kingdom.

For thr life of me, the left are all over the place and I really don’t know what these people want, I’m not sure they do either, probably depending on which side the political pendulum swings.

Why Turkish officials are waiting for if they have audio evidence of Khashoggi murder?

If the Turkish investigator wants to charger or question those 15 Saudi Agents and then the Turkish investigator must put evidence forward and requests transfer those 15 Saudi agents for the questioning. I believe Turkish Government was worried about revealing of Turkish Government spying on foreign Embassy.

The world should not practice double standard for Kingdom if the Saudi reporter Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi Consulate building. The Crown Price should be charged with ordering for kill Khashoggi.

Nonsense, then you can make the opposing argument about the last administration supporting Iran

It's not nonsense that Saudi Arabia has been one of the most ardent supporters of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism; it's a fact. What is nonsense is claiming that Obama supported Iran.

None of this is based in reality. Some posters have a bad habit of arguing with the imaginary liberals in their head.

Hyperpartisanship gets in the way of critical thinking.

I guess you missed the news about his deals with Iran.

It's not nonsense, its facts!

Why Turkish officials are waiting for if they have audio evidence of Khashoggi murder?

If Turkish officials truly do have recorded evedance than I imagine it's a sensitive topic to HOW they managed to record it. Though it is suspect that they do claim to have the evedance, yet they won't share it.

Let's be realistic. There is no way that the Saudi royal family and secret services will be held accountable. Only Iran could dream up such a scenario, as leverage for revolution to reverse Saudi's Sunni-over-Shia society.

The team that messed up this 'secret' hit and publicly embarrassed the Kingdom will be quietly dealt with, and Turkey will not be popularly perceived in Saudi Arabia for causing such massive loss of face.

These are the rulers that Trump is overjoyed to do business with.

Meanwhile, Yemen looks like becoming the biggest humanitarian disaster in half a century.

Keep counting those dollars and ignoring the deaths, PotUS.

"These are the rulers that Trump is overjoyed to do business with."

As if Obama had a problem doing business with these rulers.

As if Obama had a problem doing business with these rulers.

Obama isn't PotUS anymore, though. This new deal with Saudi Arabia and MbS is to do with Trump. Who prefers to trade with a murderous state and ignore human rights violations.

It's like 9/11 never happened, innit.
