Unfortunately Meghan and Harry have shown themselves to completely disloyal to the Throne.

British Empire still exists in Northern Ireland.

The power of the British Monarchy was abolished in 1649.

King Charles now has to walk the walk, a delicate high-wire act with only his baggage from the past for balance. Not enjoying the goodwill earned by his mother over decades as a queen who had become "part of the furniture" of "brand Britannia", any future pratfalls of his will not be so easily forgiven by a public whose patience is fast wearing thin by the steadily worsening of the already dire state of the country thanks to the incompetence of the present shower in charge. From now on if the old king puts a foot wrong, republicans will be champing at the bit to put an end to the royal charade.

It will be a new era and many will question every detail. Charles wants a slimmed-down royal family that is a beginning. I had the impression Andrew is using the death of his mother to squeak back into the palace door. He must at least be exiled out of sight and out of the way.

In his speech, Charles said he knows won't be able to devote as much time and energy to causes he cares most about, such as the environment and climate change.

William will now likely spend more time championing those topics

...as he flies around from one conference to another by private jet and helicopter.

Meghan actress, social media savvy, ambitious, street wise and above all determined.

Meghan is used to getting what Meghan wants, or else.

Most of all, Meghan was/is having no truck with the palace courtier/advisers.

I apologise for what I am about to say.

Meghan and Harry could have taken the opportunity, brought both Archie and Lilibet for Queen Elizabeth II, Grandma to spoil, and make a fuss over.

After all Queen Elizabeth 96 in poor health, had, since there birth, seen little contact.

Yet both Meghan and Harry, may I suggest, made no effort.

That is ruthless in full knowledge of Grandparents overwhelming emotional desire to be close to there grand children.

Diana, Fergie, and Meghan had no idea what they were letting themselves in for

Maybe to a point.

Diana was very young and clearly unintelligent. Fergie and Meghan had less of an excuse. This is one of the most famous, and weirdest, families in the world.

This is Lurch greeting you at the door when you go to meet your new in-laws.

Limited sympathy for them.

One wonders how long Meghan will be able to keep her mouth shut.

With the press, I have some sympathy for how she was treated, but she had to know what she was getting herself into. That still didn’t make it right. “(Almost) straight outta Compton”? Seriously? Could the tabloids been a bit more overtly racist?

As for her family back-biting, I have little if any sympathy. This isn’t the early 1980’s when we were all naive about what role she was stepping into. And she’s not some clueless 19 year old virgin daycare teacher. She’s a 30-something divorced B-list tv star.

You keep the squabbles in-house and you don’t show up your mother-in-law if you know what’s good for you.

Head down, mouth shut, and do whatever role you are given, or keep flapping your yap and join Andrew in “Bolivian” (As Tyson termed it).

Of course her “sins” such as they are, are not in the same universe as Randy-Andy’s, but the message is the same: get on-side or get gone.

Stay in America Megan, no one wants you in Britain

Nationalism, royal entitlement and racism sucks.
