1) Do the Trump supporters here agree with Trump - is DeSantis a disloyal phony who bungled COVID in Florida?

2) Why is DeSantis "disloyal" but Haley isn't?

They are different. First of all, DeSantis was not in Trump's administration. He is the Governor of Florida. He is seen as disloyal becuase Trump had always seen him as a political son. A future president under Trump's wing. DeSantis rightly severed that tie last election. Though DeSantis has not publicly said anything about running, it is being said for him by his allies.

Trump sees this as betrayel. In a sense, it is.

Haley is running for Prsident. But she can't win. But what happens quite often is a minor candidate runs for president to increase name recoginition. Also they hope to be chosen for position within the administration or vice president. Since Haley has already had a position in a Republican admministration, she is obstensibly running for president but really she is running for vice president. She probably thinks Trump will not get the nomination. This increases her chance for vice president.

She apparently doesn’t accept Trump’s stolen election trash.

Appealing to the more intelligent?

My theory is that Trump sees DeSantis as his biggest threat, so he's focusing on him. If instead it's Nimrata Randhawa who makes it to the final round with Trump, you can bet Trump will be turning on her big time.

She is a Trump Lover. No thanks.

Could say the same about Americans then.

Im physically in Japan and it’s US politics. I’m an American. Try again.

Whoop-dee-do same boat here.

So what is your brilliant analysis of the merits of the propsective nominees for the Republican Presidential nomination, Haley and Trump?

It must surely be brilliant and penetrating.

That’s a 2% vote getter. Next.

That's a great comment - one that singularly summarizes the Repubs addiction to losing...

A Nikki Haley/Tim Scott ticket would pose a real challenge in 2024 for Biden....but as this comment highlights, it has little chance of happening...

Because the Repubs are more interested in MAGA-worship than they are in winning...which is good news for Dems...

Go for it Pubs - "Trump-Santos 2024 - Two Queens, Drama and Drag, for the price of one!"....

And still waiting for some answers...

I actually think Trump will probably take the GOP nomination. But the amount of anger and hatred he creates in the process won't do anything to change his 3-election losing streak, ensuring a Democrat win in 2024. Let the wolves eat each other.

C'mon Dwayne Johnson, we need you patnah!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Keep nominating those real MAGA-warriors...like Dr Oz, Kari Lake, Herschel Walker, Tudor Dixon, Doug Mastriano...and the 20 other Trump-endorsed candidates that lost in 2022....ROFL...

hmmm don’t see any of these people nor the 2022 election “mentioned” in this article.

Then perhaps you should re-read the article....8th para down...

In 2021, Haley told The Associated Press that she “would not run if President Trump ran,” but she has since shifted course, ramping up activity through her Stand for America nonprofit and political action committee, and endorsing dozens of candidates in the 2022 midterm elections.

For the third time, what about those questions?

1) Do the Trump supporters here agree with Trump - is DeSantis a disloyal phony who bungled COVID in Florida?

2) Why is DeSantis "disloyal" but Haley isn't?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Blacklabel

So you say but that does not stop you from commenting on many articles about other countries. There are many Americans commenting here who have never even been to Japan.

A Nikki Haley/Tim Scott ticket

That wins 1 state: Their own.

Absolutely - they are nothing but MAGA-traitors who should be kicked out of the party for challenging the Ultra MAGA King....

Two dodges now....can't answer?

1) Do the Trump supporters here agree with Trump - is DeSantis a disloyal phony who bungled COVID in Florida?

2) Why is DeSantis "disloyal" but Haley isn't?

Trump is the best at entertainment, trash talk, and “owning the libs”. GOP voters want pro wrestling, and Trump is the champ. No one else will do.

Black is right. Haley will go nowhere. She doesn’t have enough of that grievance mentality.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Then perhaps you should re-read the article....8th para down...

Yeah that’s where you always find what the article is about.

Yeah - IN THE ARTICLE....ROFL...

not about 2020 or 2022 election.

2020 is mentioned in the 6th para down, 2022 in the 8th para down....

You posted; "hmmm don’t see any of these people nor the 2022 election “mentioned” in this article."

That was factually incorrect - will you be apologizing for your error?

And still waiting for answers to the questions...or just submit and say you can't answer...

I'd be interested to see how she plays it and how it's received.

Her age is more appealing to the centre voter but I don't know any of her pledges (like they actually mean anything) or whether she is going for a hope for the future angle or just the usual MAGA grievance nonsense.

The youth vote is there for the taking but owning libs etc. and banging on about a mythical past isn't going to cut it.

The youth vote is there for the taking but owning libs etc. and banging on about a mythical past isn't going to cut it.

The GOP has been all about Grievance Politics since the Bill Clinton affair. They were angry that he was still so popular after they tried to trash him for cheating on Hillary. Then they were angry that they were attacked in 911. Then they were angry that the people castigated them for invading Iraq who had nothing to do with 911, based on lies. Then they were angry that a black man was elected president, and the world wasn't perfect. Then they were angry that the people didn't like their Dear Leader. Then they were even more angry when the people didn't re-elect him, in either the electoral college or the popular vote. Then they were angry that the people wouldn't support their insurrection.

It's been non-stop anger and grievance from the GOP for 25 years. If you want to make America great again, how about resetting to actually making policies for the people instead of campaigning on grievances?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Nikki The Neocon is coming back, hooray! I'm sure she'll be so different in her foreign policies than the current administration.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

She's running for Vice-president, much like Harris did, and Harris won.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Nikki Haley is moving closer to making her presidential campaign official.

Haley, Pompeo, Bolton etc have a little too much geo-political acumen for the proper pit-bull stubborness in the battle against woke cultural Marxism and CRT.

If she can pivot and excel more in her lib-owning, she has the other qualifications for the GOP nomination.

https://aflcio.org/press/releases/sc-gov-nikki-haleys-real-economic-record-corporate-subsidies-over-public-good

Namely a commitment to feeding corporate welfare queens. But that is pretty much a given in America one party system (so good we have two of them).

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Haley and 2024- that’s what you have.

If she wins then she wins. Good on to her. The people will have spoken. The problem is that Trump won't allow her to run for the Trump party. Only Trump can run in 2024 for the Trump party because according to his followers Trump owns the WH. Haley will be a Trump enemy very soon because it is Trump's turf and only Trump's turf.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Haley will take zero votes from the Trump support. She only hurts everyone else. So she is welcome to join.

And will either be able to address the economic issues of millions dropping out of the American labor force, waves of automation of white collar jobs and geopolitical challenges of a multi-polar world?

The rise of MAGA has worsened the aspect of American politics that just take it as a pointless team sport.

The power-hungry will climb out from under their rocks.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

This article is about running in the 2024 election which includes Trump who is the major player.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Focus. Nikki Haley.

what do you think about her and her chances?

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Did Trump feel her out for VP?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Focus. Nikki Haley.

Yes, my focus is on whether your prediction that she can only take 2% of the vote has any credibility. For that, I want to callback to your previous equivalent prediction, that Biden wouldn't be able to win. The problem is, we have to establish whether you think Biden won or lost, before we can then establish if your prediction has any credibility.

what do you think about her and her chances?

Personally, I'm for whichever RINO can take the GOP nomination. I don't see them winning either way, but seeing as the MAGA folk keep losing, and the MAGA folk are horrible for both America and the world, a RINO would be the most likely to be able to win, and the best for democracy.

Now that I've answered your question, do you think Biden won or lost in 2020, and based on that, how accurate do you feel your prediction that Biden would lose was, and do you feel that leaves you with credibility in regards to Haley winning in 2024?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

In 2024, will we see Harris vs Haley in the elections?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

It's really too bad you guys bound your identity to Trumpism. It would have made it a lot easier for you to escape it and move on if you hadn't. Also, he wouldn't have caused 1/3 the destruction he did, if you guys hadn't. Y'all done screwed up.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Perfect candidate! We all know that she is a pathological liar! Number one requirement!

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

A Nikki Haley/Tim Scott ticket

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Definitely has more political acumen than 100 Kamalas.

True, but I couldn't stand her when she was at the UN...

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Two dodges now....can't answer?

find an article about Trump and Desantis and ask then you might get an answer?

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Welcome to MAGA-wars 2024...

The race is on to see who can bamboozle, mislead, and hoodwink the MAGA-masses the most...

But I do have some questions for the Trump-boosters here...

Trump has said he is fine with Haley's run...yet she was a member of his administration and a key member of his team, but he said nothing about her being disloyal...

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2023/01/donald-trump-reaction-nikki-haley-2024

But Ron DeSanctimonious has yet to announce a run and was not a member of Trump's administration, but Trump has already branded him disloyal...said he is a "fat, whiny, phony" too...and criticized his handling pf COVID....

https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-ron-desantis-very-disloyal-2024-president-2023-1

So two questions:

1) Do the Trump supporters here agree with Trump - is DeSantis a disloyal phony who bungled COVID in Florida?

2) Why is DeSantis "disloyal" but Haley isn't?

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

That’s a 2% vote getter. Next.

Yeah that’s where you always find what the article is about.

not about 2020 or 2022 election. nor Trump nor Desantis nor Joe Biden. Not any of the people you listed.

nor Tucker nor Hannity nor any news network. Nor Repubs nor MAGA.

Too bad. Haley and 2024- that’s what you have.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

I think she would make a good member of Trump's team.

Definitely has more political acumen than 100 Kamalas.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

Haley is one of the biggest fears for the Democrats.

A strong, female, minority candidate who will be on the Trump ticket.

Even some hardcore libs will see the strength in Trump-Haley vs. a potential, but unlikely. Biden-Harris.
