I don't know why Kim is worried, the precedent has been set that the way America is to deal with NK is photo-ops and love letters. But only after threatening to "rain down hellfire" upon NK first.

How? No sanctions were lifted, besides getting a stupid photo, he still has nothing, his people starving, even Kim is starting to slim down. He wants his country to remain poor, that’s on him. Kim is still isolated in one of the most impoverished countries in the planet, the only appeasement he got was a signed autograph from Trump. Lol

Mr. Trump gave Mr. Kim public recognition and a level of dignity he does not deserve. For Kim it was a huge victory to be seen with a US President in a foreign capital. No other leader of a major democracy would give Mr. Kim the time of day. He is considered too much of a butcher to be seen with and to shake that blood soaked hand. But Mr. Trump had no problems praising him in public. It was sickening and a very sad day for the USA.

Dealing with DPRK will be easier when the current ROK President is voted out. He is so fixated on making nice to DPRK that Kim just treats him like a doormat. Kim has no respect for or fear of his ROK counterpart.

Fat boy Kim better be ready to miss a few meals, because his country is 1 million tons of food short per year and nobody is going to give them a dime as long as they continue with missile and nuke programs in violations of multiple UN resolutions.
North Korea has enough foreign currency to meet it's food needs on the open market. It CHOOSES not to and instead pour money into illegal weapons programs. OK, that is Kim's choice. It doesn't mean that the international community needs to provide it with aid.

Ok, but it won’t change anything with North Korea, at least Trump made an effort. All you can do is try.
Possibly.

Ok, let’s see how much capitulation he will do in the next coming years with these rouge nations.

Keep the economic pressure up. Ignore NK.
All the US wants for North Korea is a state similar to South Korea with open borders and thriving people.
But no American blood is going to be shed to instigate this desire. Americans just don't think much about NK.
It is like a caged rat that is being fed by a neighbor - sometimes that neighbor is China and other times it is South Korea.
If NK wants to discuss a path to prosperity and freedoms for the people, then let's see a 20 yr plan with steps along the way. As the steps are achieved, economic restrictions can slowly be relaxed. Trust, but verify.
China supports NK for political reasons.
SK supports NK for familial reasons.
Does anyone else really think much about NK - unless their fishing boats are in your waters?

So I guess we're in for some confrontational dialogue.

anyone taking bets on how soon it is before Joe Biden sends Kamala Harris to NK to meet with Kim?

Is Kim a hermit now?
Perhaps he should always be left alone, better that way.
But what if he starts to have multiple missile launchings again?
Blacklabel
No, nothing at all wrong with it.
except the VP is batting 0-2 on assignments so far and it would be extremely unfair of Joe to task her with this, something he is unwilling to do.
He wouldnt send her just to be able to say it still true when he said "I" wont meet Kim, would he?

Kim has lost significant weight recently and some foreign observers wonder if he has a medical problem.

China under the CCP will never under any circumstances permit that kind of prosperous free nation on their border and will go to war to prevent it from happening.

Become a regular reader of the website 38 North. The North Koreans publish detailed economic plans. They seldom reach fruition but they do publish such plans. What is interesting is that Kim the Fat has been more open about the failures of these plans than his father and grandfather were.
