Ah....the art of making a deal? Someone just got a lesson.

Surpriiiiiise...?

It's basically what NK was trying to say since a few months. And what experts were saying since the start.

Can't wait for Donald "smart cookie" Trump's tweet on the subject. (my guess is "KJU u r breakin my

What do the Dump defenders have to say now?

4 ( +7 / -3 )

it means the removal of all sources of nuclear threat, not only from the South and North but also from areas neighboring the Korean Peninsula,

If there are no tactical nukes in South Korea and Japan is not a nuclear power, then you can only be referring to China and Russia.

So tell me how it will be possible for America to get China and Russia to remove their nuclear arsenals?

This situation is going nowhere.

And it really confirms that for Japan, rebuilding its military is an urgent matter. North Korea can not be trusted, neither can anybody else in the neighbourhood.

Fair enough.

History lesson learned, Trump. Don't be so quick to declare success before any eggs from NK hatches. You're being played like the other Presidents before you

Right on schedule. The Korean Central news Agency is keeping up appearances as Kim prepares to denuke.

"whether leader Kim Jong Un will ever relinquish an arsenal he may see as his greatest guarantee of survival."

Kim knows his greatest guarantee of survival is to denuke.

"Ah....the art of making a deal? Someone just got a lesson."

Too bad Trump's predecessor didn't take care of this problem during his 8 years.

All those Trumpeteer's calling on giving him the Nobel Peace Prize aren't very talkative about the situation these days.

Trump has been ineffective on North Korea.

The N. Korean regime tried to cheat with old tactic, but it didn't work with President Trump. Also, the N. Korean regime has tried to lure S. Korean Government away from the United State. The attempt also failed.

N. Korean regime got nothing from the President Trump, but the N. The Korean regime had freed 3 American prisoners and returned 55 US soldiers' remain as well as stop testing ICBM and nuclear bomb testing.

It looks like Kim Jong-un wasn't totally controlling of N. Korean Government and even he can't keep his promise. His enthusiasm with the President Trump was gone when he arrived home.

Kim Jong-un, his senior advisor and right-hand man Kim Yong Chol might have influence over his changing mind on the condition of denuclearization for the Korean peninsula. It looks like Kim Jong-UN was unconsciously becoming a puppet leader instead of Supreme leader of N. Korea. Kim Yong Chol was governing N. Korea behind his Supreme leader Kim Jong-UN. In other word, Kim Yong Chol was baby sitting little Rocket man Kim Jong-un.

The N. Korean regime can’t be trusted. The N. Korean regime demand for the US troop withdrawals from S. Korea was an unreasonable and impossible demand. The US Government and S. Korean Government won’t be agreed to withdraw troops prematurely unless the N. Korean has completely denuclearized in Korean peninsula.

Now the hope for denuclearization for Korean peninsular was seem to be disappearing in the thin air. The US has to restart joint military drills with S. Korean again.

The threats to Kim stopped and so did his cooperation. I don't think it's a coincidence. Fear is a great motivator.

"Trump has been ineffective on North Korea."

He's been more effective than Barack was, Super. How many NK rocket launches in the past year? Zero. Inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation have increased.

How many NK rocket launches in the past year?

Hahahahahahah

How many missile launches during Trump's presidency, hmmm? How many during Obama's, hmmm?

You are comparing no missiles in this past year to the year before when Trump escalated things so much there were more missiles in that year, than in Obama's whole presidency. You're literally praising Trump for standing down the situation he escalated. And that's ignoring that he stood down to a point below where Trump, Bush and Clinton were all at.

When it comes to NK, Trump has been an abject failure. He escalated the situation, stood it down to a worse spot, and in the process, gave Kim legitimacy in the eyes of the North Korean people by meeting him and giving him propaganda material through videos and images of their shaking hands and the like.

Trump; has been an abject failure in North Korea, and you people are literally so clueless as to the history there, that you actually believe things are better, by comparing Trump last year to Trump this year.

That's about as stupid as it gets. Complete and utter moronity.

Well, you have to test the missiles to make sure they work. Amazing how NK acquired all this missle tech and nuke tech within Trumps presidency. Just AMAZING!

It’s a good thing Obama, Bush and Clinton stopped him from getting these miracles in technology by reneging on every deal they’ve made with NK.

and you people are literally so clueless as to the history there

Priceless

Whats that saying about a kettle and a pot?

Yeah, the nukes happened under Bush.

Whats that saying about a kettle and a pot?

It's entirely irrelevant is what it is. Trump is in a worse spot than Obama, Bush AND Clinton, and you people are trying to pretend that Cosby just gave a friendly back rub to those girls.

Supreme Leader of DPRK has been a nutter throughout all time - regardless of whatever bozo is pretending to run America. Bush tried some things, guess they didn't work. Obama tried some things, guess they didn't work. Trump tried some things, guess they didn't work.

I can't wait until left/right keyboard warrior fanatics present their bulletproof ideas for taming North Korea.

Whether you support Trump or not - everybody knew this deal was likely to fail. Not because it was a certain american president but rather because you're making a deal with Kim. Can't hate on anybody who was optimistic and hopeful for this to turn out for the best JUST because Trump was at the wheel.
