The american cops are out of control. They are just a paramilitary force released on a formerly free nation with the intention of turning it into a fascist regime with law enforcement officers that are criminals themselves

“Mr. McDole was under the influence of drugs and had been indiscriminately firing a handgun in a busy commercial and residential area,” the statement read. “Prompt police intervention was necessary to ensure public safety.”

Bingo. What if a stray bullet went though a window and struck an infant? Killing it. Ohh yeah, mm-hmm . . . .we'd all be singing a different tune: "Why didn't the police take out the gunman sooner" or "what were those cops thinking? A baby was killed!" etc. . .

A bystander’s cellphone footage shows officers repeatedly telling McDole to drop his weapon and raise his hands and McDole reaching into his pants before shots erupt.

See. All he had to do was drop the weapon. It was a reasonable and lawful order. How hard is it to comply?

Investigators said Dellose gave McDole two commands within the space of about two seconds before firing his shotgun,

How hard is it to comply

Pretty hard when given only 2 seconds

Could have used a taser

Did you miss this paragraph?

"A bystander’s cellphone footage shows officers repeatedly telling McDole to drop his weapon and raise his hands and McDole reaching into his pants before shots erupt."

So how hard was it to comply?

It sad that many cops in the US can't seem to figure out how to deescalate a situation or apprehend someone without it resulting in death. The handful of bad apples are making the everyone look like villains.

Other countries have taken the guns out of society. Why can't the US?

All the fault finders should take a leisurely stroll after midnight down Stoney Island or Little Mack for a chance at attitude readjustment.

That's not textbook officer safety. Think about it, if the suspect has a gun, are you going to risk your life by bringing out a taser?

What if both taser darts don't hit the suspect? The attempted tasing has just failed & now you're a sitting duck. A guy in a wheelchair would be difficult to tase. No thank you.

Pretty hard when given only 2 seconds

He's luck he got 2 seconds. He was an "active shooter" cops are trained to take them out asap. They even have a saying, all the legal circles know the saying well too.

It goes like this: "I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6." (for you slow ones, it means stand trial by 12 jurors. The 6 represent six Pall-Bearers who will carry / escort your coffin at your funeral.)

Yeah I agree... sometimes, but not in this case. I'm guessing the perp was tired of being wheeled around and decided on "suicide by cop".
