If the person is totally asymptomatic, as most "cases" are, the only evidence of "infection" is the PCR test itself.

> So how do you know they aren't all false positives?

Arr you seriously suggesting that all of the tests for a virus that sometimes has no symptoms are all false positives? It is a ludicrous suggestion.

I'm not going to argue the toss with you about the false positive rate of the test, but rather point out that this is just another of the tedious attempts to downplay the virus from the beginning, from it just being flu, "death with COVID, not by COVID", it's a hoax etc.

Ah yes, Professor Neil Ferguson, the liberal "I effing love science!" left's poster boy. The so-called "expert" who predicted 500k deaths back in March, wanted everyone locked down,

Ferguson is a mathematical epidemiologist. He is no a "so-called" expert. He actually is an expert.

He was trying to model the potential impact of a novel coronavirus if left untracked. Given that it was a novel virus, with a huge amount of uncertainty and that deaths rose to 40,000 very quickly despite a countrywide lockdown, he probably wasn't far from the mark in making that assessment.

Buy booze but not baby clothes! Petition signed by 35,000 demands end to 'farcical' Welsh shopping rules

I would sign that - it is absurd.

Jesus being trapped in Wales. Sounds horrific.

I don't think Jesus is trapped in Wales. In any case, there are worse places to be trapped. Wales is a very nice place.

Ah yes, Professor Neil Ferguson, the liberal "I effing love science!" left's poster boy. The so-called "expert" who predicted 500k deaths back in March, wanted everyone locked down, and then sneaked off and broke his own quarantine rules to slip a length to his mistress, a married mother of two. What a classy guy.

Worse still is UK people have railed against track and trace because of fear the access to their smartphone will be either mismanaged or passed on to any number of Government, Police or Security Service vested interests.

No they haven't.

There have been a couple of marches by oddballs against it, but no one has railed against it in significant numbers.

What if all these are false positives?

Are you saying that people who have had a positive COVID-19 test are false positive? Do you really understand what you are typing?

Government and opposite parties have lost the confidence trust and faith of a ever growing proportion of the British people.

The politicization of the pandemic, especially between devolved governments has played a significant role in the deterioration of public disobedience.

The relationship between Police and public will soon become unmanageable.

The ever-growing number of these so experts daily gushing totally conflicting so called scientific advice, that is shutting down UK core economic sectors all based on flawed modelling and appalling data management/analysis.

Professor Neil Ferguson, mentioned in the above article predictions have been subject to proven flawed modelling.

Again the political establishment/elite through incompetence have failed to treat UK people with respect, and engage in a fitting manner.

The vast majority of “cases” are asymptomatic.

What an incredibly uninformed statement.

'Asymptomatic' doesn't mean 'unable to infect.'
