Trump and his base are useless to California.

Yep, California is one of our nation's biggest threats, just like Chrissey Tiegen, vaping, The "Squad", and ground hogs making holes at golf courses....
Putin, Kim, climate change, guns, not so much....

I've lived in 11 states now. Every state has issues. Rural Americans look at California as an out-of-touch liberal state, like most of the NE states. Very true.
California has much they do well, some by an accident of location and lots of problems, also due to location. Some are made worse by the California govt.
Energy costs are 68% higher in California than the US average. Drought. Homeless. Illegal aliens. High income taxes. High sales tax. Govt Debt. Infrastructure debt. Middle-class is fleeing the state over taxation. Temporary workers don't get many of the govt created protections.
As the most populous state, it will always have the highest statistics for almost anything good or bad.
If you are super rich, it is fine.
If you work for the state, it is fine.
If you are super poor, it will be fine with the govt "safety belt".

California is and it will always be California. Sorry Mr. President, nothing you can do about it, just keep moving.

Trump and his base are useless to urban Californians.

Trump purportedly was overheard saying about California's EPA regulations:
*"What?! Their policies have lead to cleaner air, less global warming, happier citizens and they were created under Obama? REVOKED!"*

Having lived in several areas of California I find it interesting that some try to pigeon-hole the state, any of its various regions, even its cities. I found it one of the most diverse, in just about every way, places I've ever been.
Anyone who wants to simplify California and its peoples to say they're one way or any other must be doing that to push an agenda. To me they look pretty foolish doing so. And dangerous, like those posters who've wanted Kim to nuke California, or those who've wanted San Francisco bombed. But then those are pretty foolish posters who've wanted that.

Wow, that's some accomplishment. How many more miles to go?
Airstrip landing mats. Yeah, the Vietnam war legacy put to some real useful purpose.
