Kim Jong Un is:

assessing

appraising, or

the conditions Trump has put on the talks, if any..

In other words, they never expected the Orange imposter to accept in a gazillion years.

No doubt Trump deviated from the script NK (and everybody else) expected him to say so they are frantically trying to figure out how to respond.

the conditions Trump has put on the talks, if any..

Just because Kim says he is "committed to denuclearization" doesn't mean he is unconditionally committed or willing to denuclearize. It will be interesting to see what conditions HE will set and whether Trump is willing to accept those conditions to warrant bothering to talk.

The DPRK leadership is probably wondering how to spin it to the people.

Kim almost definitely has no intention whatsoever to denuclearize. He is just playing the game.

""We believe the North Korean leader is now taking stock,"

Translation - He's trying to figure out how to try to con Trump. He has less than 2 months to come up with a plan that works. He won't be able to.

"they never expected the Orange imposter to accept in a gazillion years."

He's not orange, and he's not an imposter. Try again.
