The fact remains floods and landslides are claiming many lives. Smear or not disasters preparedness is necessary in every Nation.

That's right NK. Refuse humanitarian aid from SK and blame them for spreading rumors when the weather conditions in NK are visible to everyone with satellitet access. What a totally demented regime.

So, they won’t be needing that food assistance then?

Noted.

Look at that ill-fitting suit on little Rocket Man! Must be hard getting a suit when one is 5'2" and 140kg.

Maybe Kim was drunk when he went on his tantrum about "how dare you say we too have natural disasters."

There are photos of ...

In one striking image of Kim Jong Un riding in a car that is almost half-submerged in flood waters, razor wire can be seen atop the fence in the background.

So, NK is lying again. The photo shows him in an SUV with the window open and his head outside, looking at the water at the top of the wheel wells. The vehicle model is unmarked, but it looks like a full-sized SUV.

He was probably told to deny all flooding caused by China's drainage mismanagement.

Satellites don't lie. The flooding is there for all to see and to see where it isn't. Lots of images of train infrastructure under water, so NK aid can't get to all the places where a little boat would be needed by locals. OTOH, locals probably aren't allowed to have little boats if they live near the river border with China that a boat can be used to cross.

Floods, landslides, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, bushfires, wars - all such calamites and disasters cause much disturbance to life and property. Humankind across the Planet is thirsting for peace and harmony.

Kim says there were floods, but that North Korea's Air Force was able to rescue everyone quickly. That's good news. I don't see why the matter didn't end there... South Korea can relax and save some resources.

On the other side, it would have been better, I think, for Kim Jong Un to have said, "Thanks, we're good" rather than going on about "South Korean scum," but I suppose I'm old-fashioned. Maybe Kim is actually more in tune with modern courtesy norms.

He’s the only one smiling

North Korea said earlier this week

"North KoreaSaid", and perhaps a handful of anti-democracy/pro-totalitarian true believers might trust a single word. Those same people are the ones claiming it's what they call "MSM" that cannot be believed, and base that on 'feels' plus what is akin to religious faith in what is reported by a totalitarian state's PR department, they trust propaganda spread by podcast pundits and Internet influencers along also with some mainstream media outlets.

Daily I read articles reported in media outlets from around the world about weather events wreaking havoc. Even China has allowed some news to be released on natural disasters, but who knows how much truth their might be in these state- filtered reports. Cults of personality like the Kims - created thanks to Moscow and Beijing - continue to make life worse for millions just like they have done for thousands of years, yet some still actually believe that ceding their individual freedoms to the cult's regime is preferable to making personal choices.

North Korean media showed flooded areas and flood damage.

Seriously, how much longer does the world need to tolerate this backward hermit kingdom held hostage by this despot?
