Blah blah. Blah blah blah.

Does anyone remember how, six or seven years ago, it seemed like North Korea was actually going to become a respectable nation and stop demanding for attention with these constant threats? What happened?

The only glimmers of hope were the Il-Koizumi and Trump-Un summits. I even got excited on those two occasions as I have worked on the NK border China side for a large charity. I have emotional currency in things working out for the NK population.

I think it's high time we gave all world 'leaders' a pistol and a knife, and said 'Hey, you want to be the aggressor, go ahead and do it yourself; we'll even give you a tax payed helicopter ride to the location you want to be the 'aggressor.' wave them goodbye and wish them well.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un threatened “more offensive actions”

He's already a pretty offensive guy. Does he really need to be even more offensive?

Fat boy hasn’t taken any offensive actions so he can’t take “more”.

He knows where the line is and while he will hiluff and puff, he like all bullies, is a coward at heart.

He will stay on his side of the line alleys he gets the ass-whipping he so thoroughly deserves.

How about the Straits Times (of Singapore) when Kim Jong Un went shopping in Singapore and had the first meeting between a US President and the leader of the DPRK. Hope was very much in the air and remained so until a subsequent summit in Vietnam where the US made demands, take them or leave them, that were well beyond what the North Koreans were willing to do at that point in the relationship.

kimmies, wake up, if the missiles alone is enough, Russia already win over and over 100 times in Ukraine war. The fact already show that who have F35, he is the kingmaker. too bad, your silo, launching pads, all are sitting duck during war time. They dont even have chance to fire a single missile.

The most likely restraints on DPRK aggression are US-South Korean force posture of which the F-35 is just one of many advanced weapons that would be employed defending South Korea, but maybe more importantly the Chinese and Russians telling DPRK not to start something that would inevitably draw them into a war with the US and its allies.
