Translation, it’s probably a nightmare over there. I remember in the 90’s when Kim I’ll Sung tried to hide the massive number of deaths from the public claiming they had an abundance of food which we all know now it was a lie and close to one million or 5% of the population.

Incredibly, it's actually entirely possible this is true, being as how isolated the country has been and the draconian measures the government there has taken.

There's a rumor that Kim had a COVID-19 patient shot dead, but snopes is saying that is unverified.

"Not one single person has been infected with the novel coronavirus in our country so far," Pak told AFP.

Bank! Not.

Kim probably actually wants the virus to kill all those poor people anyway since they're a blight to his otherwise shining record

Nobody was infected by the virus because nobody was tested. Those North Koreans who died just technically died of "natural causes." See no evil, hear no evil

I doubt that very much. Kim needs those poor people to keep the country running. I think it safe to assume that Corona is in NK already, it is simply not reported. Who dies, dies.

One factor that would slow downn the virus in NK is that NK has very little freedom of movement; travel between towns is very restricted. Our governments are starting to introduce something like that now, NK has always had it. So they had a huge advantage in that respect.
