Nuclear lunatic fatty Kim Jong-un will never attack on Guam because he knows US will bomb and kill him. Kim Jong-un was no different from other coward peoples and they scare of die. I bet, Kim Jong-un was sleeping and living in underground nuclear bunker. He knows his country can't compete with United State. Kim Jong-un is lying to his peoples and he was pretending to be tough guy in N. Korean peoples' eyes.

How long N. Korean peoples will see fatty lunatic Kim Jong-un as their hero if he didn't do something stupid as he said?

Trump IS making America great again. Never back down! Good move!

You think Trump should get credit for averting a threat he was the cause of? That's frigging surreal.

C'mon. Read between the lines. Stop depending on the MSM so much maybe? This is and always has been about China.

Just yesterday...

"China bans North Korean iron, lead, coal imports as part of U.N. sanctions"

That's why Kimmie is back peddling. I'd say Trump won this round.

Negative. He didn't cause the threat he responded to it and eliminated it. But CNN fake news wants to make the NK dictator look strong still and not credit Trump at all so we get this:

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/08/14/politics/mattis-north-korea-guam-game-on/index.html

there is no game on and Kim didn't tell Trump it's his move, he backed down.

It's certainly not the end of this saga but it's a good thing that Kim Jong-Un blinked because I don't think Trump was about to.

@Daniel Naumoff - I based my comments upon other sources detailing activity relating to the concealment of docked Submarines , and the inability of THAAD for handling multiple incoming projectile - several small warheads separated from one missle post-entry would pose a significant challenge - particularly if the operator cant tell which one is the real weapon.

Don't underestimate the N. Koreans, look at what they've achieved to-date .

I'm sure this is joyous news to those North Koreans who maintain furtive contact with the outside world (at risk of labor camp - or worse). All of the talk of the Kim-Trump chessmatch seems to have lost focus on what's really important: There is a nation of slaves that is suffering horribly right now.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Zed.. but its not so easy for SK to "just be with them", they are the ones that will suffer, NK may have limited resources to reach further afield but Seoul is in range of weapons they do have.

China lost its bottle because they believe Trump is a mad man. China has used the fat boy to see how far the international community can be pushed. Then they know how far their ambitions in the mineral rich South China Sea can be advanced. Up until now the response from the West has been very weak and China has pushed its luck. Now Trump has pushed back he should continue to push back and show China and NK that they do not have free reign in the area. As for SK, Trump should say guys you are either with us, or with them. Make your mind up.

Somehow, it's not Kim I'm worried about "pulling the trigger," but our own lunatic leader, Pompous Don of Orange. Our leader who, when he's not too busy staring in a mirror and composing sonnets to his greatness, is a cross between a Mexican jumping bean and a wildcat on meth.

The south Koreans sees the North Korean threatening wasnt their business or their alerts. See the old women passingby without a look ?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Its like saying, "Trump talked tough. And because of that, that thing that's never happened still didn't happen. Huge success!"

yes that was exactly the goal. The thing that everyone said would or could happen, did not. This was directly because Trump informed Kim of the consequences of doing so, which forced him to reconsider and back down. Or have you already forgotten this mass hysteria of last week?

Possibly allowing time for the Submarine Launched Nukes to be deployed. And even maybe creation of dummy missile warheads to overload any anti-missile response.

Simple people without knowledge on the subject keep waving "AMERICA FIRST" flag with complete disregard of common sense and reality. So much for nationalists.

North Korea is neither an alien invader nor a super-power, they do not bolster 100 mini-nuclear warheads and 1000 dummy rockets to fool such an exquisite defensive grid America has been building since the end of World War 2. The problem lies in the word "defensive". They can shoot missiles down, job done no threat anymore North Korea no missiles no resources all happy. There be line. Except some might go "PURIFY THE EVIL NORTH KOREA! COUNTER-SLAUGHTER MILLIONS OF ALREADY SUFFERING PEOPLE! AMERICA FIRST!" and will justify Hiro-Naga experience for the North Korean people. People who pose no real (or phantom) threat to anyone except South Korea. Which, in its turn, is in even less turmoil in regards to the matter than a superpower an ocean across. And this is all based on the words "Silence!!! I'll nuke you!". What a circus is world politics...

Thats a huuuuge deal

Its like saying, "Trump talked tough. And because of that, that thing that's never happened still didn't happen. Huge success!"

Can you tell me what has changed? NK didn't fire a missile. Big deal.

Thats a huuuuge deal. Werent they supposed to fire a missile to Guam and kill us all because Trump actually called him out and told him in very strong 'mean' words not to do it? Werent we all going to die because of Trump's stupidity but now we arent? That huge!

I wish he would clarify which foolish and stupid Yankees he is POed at and why. A slumping Aaron Judge bringing down his high stakes fantasy league team? Derek Jeter for purchasing the lackluster Miami Marlins franchise?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

It is important to not refer to his suinae profile. It is more appropriate to refer to him as Kim non-slim. It is China that needs to be "called out." China is the master of the CYA game and it is going to pay for its "just survive" attitude of its offspring. Supposedly Kim non-slim was educated in a European. He must have been absent with a note from his father when the 35mm film was shown about the Hiroshima devastation. He just doesn't "get it."

Otherwise, I can happily report that this is a success for Trump and his way of handling it was actually correct.

Can you tell me what has changed? NK didn't fire a missile. Big deal.

Have they halted their missile program?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

So someone please explain to me how what Trump did and said either (a) didnt work or (b) didnt cause this to happen.

Otherwise, I can happily report that this is a success for Trump and his way of handling it was actually correct.

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

Posture enough just to get the heat off trump and his lackey abe. This is almost comical.

In order to defuse the tensions and prevent the dangerous military conflict on the Korean peninsula, it is necessary for the U.S. to make a proper option first," he added.

He's asking this to a man who says "fire and fury like the world has never seen"

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Hardly surprising. So fatso isn't ready to wiped off the face of the map then?
