Russia already has these. North Korea just copied it.

Does not make so much sense. If it is for defense they mostly will contaminate own sea and ports. But if it is meant for attacks far away it would have to contain a lot of fuel or nuclear powered machinery and as an unmanned drone sub it then needs to somehow be remotely controlled, maneuvered, monitored and instructed , therefore it’s then very big in size and can easily be detected before it can reach targets or make otherwise bigger damage.

The idea of a nuclear torpedo to disable enemy fleets at port has been around since nuclear weapons, and before nuclear weapons a giant mega torpedo, and the Japanese Kaiten 5 manned torpedoes. None of these were deemed practical however, due to the way ports are constructed with wave and tide barriers creating what is basically a maze that needs to maneuvered around. Especially true of Japanese naval bases. Look at a Google earth sat photo of Yokosuka or Maizuru naval base.

Then assess where that drone torpedo must be launched from, and how many obstacles it has to maneuver around for a successful attack on a fleet at port.

So, the little fat man "guided" the exercise? What with- a snorkel and fins?

Important to remember NK has little to no downside, people and society tough, full of stamina with the ability to endure serious deprivation, etc. Very much on the rise, coat tails of this emerging multi-polar China/Russia/Iran/etc. led world.

Hardly same be said for these soft societies that oppose them, tiny volunteer militaries, swimming in debt, terrible demographics, aging, depopulation, etc. Digital infrastructure and entire economy can be destroyed instantly using EMP weapons. In other words, exact opposite of NK, huge downside with no real resolve other than preserving the decaying status quo...

One can only imagine the MANY images of men busy buying and using make-up in Japan and SK etc. the NK regime must utilize to further 'mind-control' their population regarding their pathetically weak feminine adversaries....

Any real surprise NK becoming so belligerent? They view Japan much like a rotten apple in truth and it's ONLY going to get worse sadly.

Best policy is maximum safe harbor/avoidance, nobody should make it a habit to pet stray dogs after all!

FYI it's another insane crazy 'cost' of this Ukraine Russian war, massive weapons and technological proliferation to China, Iran and of course NK. Russians have this same drone sub tech already deployed at a MUCH more dangerous level of Armagedón!

Thankfully there's no great wealth or resources in NK, otherwise, exiled Oligarchs would likely have us conducting another proxy war there on their behalf naturally!

NK (and Iran!) will SURELY soon have hypersonic nuclear tipped missiles soon if not so already. Seems nobody in the media ever bothers to mention these very real and very dangerous weapons proliferation 'costs', all tied to the Nato led proxy war in Ukraine.

NK's impressing their Chinese masters and the Russian, Pakistan, Iran, Syria, etc. growing rogue alliance. True weapons 'pilot' program, army for hire, etc., proxy war's coming soon it would seem, China and others will happily test their weapons 'stuff/toys' just like Nato's doing now in Ukraine!
