"China wants North Korea to make some steps to denuclearise as much as anyone else."

Yea right. NK wouldn't have achieved nuclear capability without China protecting it from UN sanctions for decades.

North Korea is Chinas wild card. A very handy one, no matter what they say about the rift between them . These types will always stick together. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. The fact that Kim has been handed this platform despite the depravity and horror that he represents is also a head turner in these modern times.

....and in saunters the Trump card!

@kurisupisu I think we can all agree which nations are guilty of abuses and crimes against humanity which far outclass North Korea’s.

Unfortunately the masses believe whatever media feeds them - I learned firsthand in Vietnam in 71, later Cambodia and Laos. Former State Dpt. man William Bill Blum RIP spent his life exposing the USA crimes against humanity, Prof Noam Chomsky does an excellent job as does John Perkins.

macv, the fact that the USA did not live up to the high standards it’s people expect and is free enough that it’s citizens can expose and highlight the fact without fear of murder, assassination or imprisonment does not detract one iota from the barbaric horrors perpetrated by the Kim family and their minions, which are still ongoing and have not let up in any way, and this murderous thug is being rewarded by the international community for his actions. The fact that the Comunist Party of China supports and maintains his rule is no surprise and tells you all you need to know about the morality of that organisation as well.

And I was going to make a light hearted comment about train travel! :)

Photo Opportunity V2.0 will soon start in Hanoi ... the immediate result will be to distract the masses.
