It is a very likely U.S. troops must leave South Korea under Trump's era! The cost reasoning is definitely a profound one to Trump. When you see Trump and K.J. walking out like friends, you know some undertake deals has done. Only four people knows what exactly is: Trump,K.J.,XI and Putin!

The cost of American troops in South Korea is $1.8 billion with SK paying $867 million plus they paid $10 billion to update Camp Humphreys.

Within ten years there will be no more troops in SK but they will remain in Japan.

That will depend on whether NK carries out its part of the agreement. Otherwise all bets are off.

The US forces will remain at the DMZ until Kim fulfills his obligation to denuclearize, end hostilities against South Korea, sign the peace treaty and peacefully work toward unification under a agreed-upon democratic government.

And the US loses the access to the closest air base from Beijing, a mere 600 miles away and close enough for unrefueled operation of F-22 and F-35 jets. Not to mention all the classified surveillance drones.

And the THAAD radar too, which is critical in increasing the probability of intercepting the Chinese ICBMs via early warning.

The US is in Korea for its own national security reasons, not necessarily Korea's.
