Yeeeeek! It's Snowzilla!

It's just light snow, with sunny conditions forecast for Wednesday.

New York City got lucky - only 8-11 inches. Much less than expected. Roads generally cleared. All driving restrictions have been lifted by NYS. Public transportation already getting re-started and should be all back up running normally in a couple hours. City that never sleeps opening up again. Manhattan no longer an island by itself with traffic allowed across rivers.

This is the usual mantra now in the USA. A complete freak-out about any impending weather situation other that clear and pleasant.

Mostly just nonsense to fill hundreds of hours of air time on a multiplicity of channels.

I don't like to see people suffer....but.....it's a choice to live in a cold weather climate like that. You made your choice.

Better than the alternative: Boston still getting pounded by snow and blizzard hours later, as the Noreaster parks itself just off its coast!

Reminiscent of the Blizzard of '78 that pounded RI and Massachusetts. Official measurements of that storm low-balled the real snow-depths.
