When they lock him up, include some captured members of Al Quaeda in his cell. Give them a jar of vaseline and soundproof the door and walls.

never heard anything sicker than this

People have mercy on him and don't desecrate him.

I wonder if he still wants to be assessed by Japanese psychologists? What a lunatic...

If Breivik had died in the attack, don't think that people still wouldn't want to see them hang his body.

How can you really comment on such a disgusting person?

All I can say is that I wonder if the guy will ever make it out of prison alive.

I don't fully understand how a white supremacist was expecting to advance his cause by killing 77 white people.

The guy is a looney, his right wing affilation has nothing to do with what he did, he is just a sociopath, who is enjoying the atention he is getting. if he is so into Nothern Mythology i propose that he receives the same punisment as Loki.

The Nobel prize committe based in norway should lecturing their own people what is peace rather than giving out 'Nobel peace prize' ! It seems their definition of peace wasnt valid in norway!

It's a tragedy that a guy who opposed al-Quaida then stooped to their level to try to make his point. But I don't think this says anything about Norway, similar things have happened in the USA and England. Life in prison might seem too easy for this guy but I would rather he gets to see the world improve without his "ethnic cleansing". Would have been nice if bin Laden got to see his "caliphate" go nowhere as well. That would have been justice.

I don't think this guy is insane though. I think he's coldly calculating and obsessed. But not insane.

Almost wish they would have found him insane, at least then he wouldn't be allowed out of the mental hospital for the rest of his life. Norway doesn't have consecutive sentences and while he may well end up spending the rest of his life in jail I find the need to point out that Norwegian prisons are a lot nicer than most of the apartments I've lived in.

I think Norway has only 20-something years maximum in prison, no life.

Such Breivik and Darwin Awardists as suicide bombers should be ridiculed even if just in private.

We (Norwegians) have a maximum prison sentence of 21 years, but there is an alternate sentence called "forvaring" (which Breivik is sure to get, unless found insane). This sentence carries an initial mandatory 21 years imprisonment in a high security facility. After the initial time, the inmate will be eligible for a hearing, where they will determine whether he still poses a threat to society. If deemed a threat, he will be held for another 5 years before he can have a new hearing. This process can go on indefinitely, and in Breivik's case, most of the experts in media are pretty certain he will never again be free.

All my thoughts and sympathy go out to the victims and bereaved after this horrible tragedy.
