Yeah, it does seem like a ploy to escape responsibility for its heinous activities.

These death cults/terrorists are hard to keep down, but this is pleasing news.

“The move will enable long-term, sustainable growth and ensure the NRA’s continued success as the nation’s leading advocate for constitutional freedom – free from the toxic political environment of New York,”

Lol

As a 35 year gun owner (in America, not Japan of course) I’ll offer the following insights on the NRA

The NRA isn’t a gun owner’s advocacy group anymore and has not been for 40 years. It’s a gun makers, specifically assault weapons makers, lobbying group that has turned its members into a cult by feeding them disinformation.

In the 1980s, traditional firearms were a declining business. Hunting rifles are expensive to produce and demand is limited. Hand guns have low profit margins.

And then along came the AR-15s. Dirt cheap to make thanks to plastics and the profit margins are out of this world.

And the market was largely untapped. All that was needed was a marketing strategy.

Enter the “black men are out there/the government is coming for you/FREEDOM!!!!” proposition.

Now every racist, incell, anti-government whack job, and wanna-be goober has one.

So I hope that the NRA is fully held to account and that it does not succeed in this obvious ploy to escape responsibility

From my cold dead bank account.

NRA going bankrupt? The association that has adamantly opposed to guns control in US in the past years has indirectly helped to increase the number of deaths of people by gunshots to 20,000 in 2020.

So, NRA plans to go to Texas -- a gun trigger-happy state..

Not many people know that even guards at maximum security prisons in Japan do not carry firearms. If there's one good thing about this country, it's the difficulty in legally (or illegally) obtaining a gun. Regulations put in force during the postwar occupation disarmed most of the country and Japanese had the wisdom to codify these restrictions virtually as-is, in the form of a national law, in 1958. Amazingly, no one at that time objected to the new law, or clamored for the equivalent of a Second Amendment.

Good news, is never late to start taking weapons out of the streets.
