Setting a pretty good example here while taking responsibility. Even though I dnt really approve of his administration, Obama had the courage to come out and speak about the incident & expressed his condolonces to the innocent hostages' families.

. . . . Why couldn't Putin do the same when his henchmen in Eastern Ukraine deliberately shot down that Malaysian Flight killing all of it's passengers last summer?

French commando intervention has offered up similar results Alex. Enough of the US bashing.

Paying ransoms to terrorists is folly. The cost and risk of a rescue mission is far less and exponentially more intelligent.

@Alex. The US is sincerely sorry. Wasn't an Italian national (your country) killed in this incident. The US gov. is trying to take accountability. So the shame is on "you" for your remarks-
