Obama is a terrible president

-10 ( +8 / -18 )

Obama is one of the best presidents ever.

6 ( +15 / -9 )

Obama is one of the best presidents ever.

yes, he got Nobel Prize as soon as he occupied the chair.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

As far as I can see, mention the word 'Trump' in my office ( made up of many nationalities ) and you get laughter, a shake of the head or a look of extreme uneasiness.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Obama telling it like it is.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Miles better than his predecessor and than what we're looking to get.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Obama = joke Trump all the way

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

"Obama calls on journalists to hold candidates accountable"

Especially Hillary.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Obama dropped the ball in his second term now we have a new mess. he should of not tried to push through his ultra leftist agenda like the LGBT marriage thing, he ended up pushing people too far right. He also tried to intelectualize about everything. Yes, I liked him as well, but he began to show his weakness in his second term.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Once again, the anointed one wants to inject himself into politics ONLY when it benefits him.

Obama is a terrible president

Terrible is too nice of a compliment.

He also tried to intelectualize about everything. Yes, I liked him as well, but he began to show his weakness in his second term.

He definitely did and is still showing his weakness, why you think our enemies think of him as a joke and our friends and allies detest this guy?

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

Once again, the anointed one wants to inject himself into politics ONLY when it benefits him.

How does it benefit him?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Not in the way, he hopes. But we know dancing the Tango is more important than what happens at home during the debates. Now we can see how out of touch he is, he's worried about the conduct of the candidates, but him dancing and living it up in Brazil shows just out of touch this guy is.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Not in the way, he hopes

And what is the way he hopes?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Who knows and who cares? he's out of office soon enough. We can all breath a sigh of relief.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

Who knows and who cares?

So you claimed it benefits him, but when asked to clarify how it benefits him, your final answer is 'who knows and who cares'. In other words, you don't know any way in that it benefits him, and you were just making random statements of hatred, without any actual basis in reality. Gotcha.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

" But we know dancing the Tango is more important than what happens at home during the debates."

What in the name of knob-joke cracking, small-handed, perspiring ROFLs are you non-partisaning about now?

Anything is more important than that disgraceful, outrageous circus of utter stupidly and tongue-flapping insanity the GOP offered up as 'debates'.

I just hope the Cuban people didn't watch the GOP debates thinking this is what Democracy means. They'll definetly stick with the Castros.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I just hope the Cuban people didn't watch the GOP debates thinking this is what Democracy means. They'll definetly stick with the Castros.

If Trump or Cruz ends up becoming president, I think a lot of the world would choose the Castros.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

In other words, you don't know any way in that it benefits him, and you were just making random statements of hatred, without any actual basis in reality. Gotcha.

Now knowing Obama for the last 7 years, when has Obama done anything for himself where he couldn't reap some of the benefits? Obama is all about Obama.

Anything is more important than that disgraceful, outrageous circus of utter stupidly and tongue-flapping insanity the GOP offered up as 'debates'.

Not as disgraceful as this presidents presence.

I just hope the Cuban people didn't watch the GOP debates thinking this is what Democracy means. They'll definitely stick with the Castros.

I just hope the Cuban people lead a coup and dispose of the Castro brothers.

If Trump or Cruz ends up becoming president, I think a lot of the world would choose the Castros.

That would be great, thin out the herd and the socialists can relocate. Sounds great to me!

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

"I just hope the Cuban people lead a coup and dispose of the Castro brothers."

Obama was well received in Cuba. The best advertisement for regime change in this case is a highly intelligent, articulate man, this man, leading the US. In your small world of Fox News he is universally despised. That is not the case elsewhere.

I'm deadly serious when I say the outlandish stupidity, the insulting stupidity, of those GOP debates make US politics a laughing stock abroad. That is what I think Obama had in mind.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

What has Obama accomplished? Will the next POTUS feel the pain of the low to no interest rate changes? Will the next POTUS increase labor participation? How about ISIS? Will they finally be suppressed?

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Obama campaign time, both DEM and GOP candidates were discussing issues.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It should bother you that you can't get Brazil and Argentina straight.

You are right, apologies for the record.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

"he's out of office soon enough. We can all breath a sigh of relief."

Yep, all of my anxieties will quickly disappear once President Trump sets foot in the White House. What could possibly go wrong?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"Who knows and who cares? he's out of office soon enough. We can all breath a sigh of relief." Can you get your American passport back?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yep, all of my anxieties will quickly disappear once President Trump sets foot in the White House. What could possibly go wrong?

I'll give you this, both Obama and Trump are thin-skinned when it comes to the media, no doubt about it.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

I'll give you this, both Obama and Trump are thin-skinned when it comes to the media

Please provide some examples where Obama has been thin-skinned when it comes to the media.

"I'll give you this, both Obama and Trump are thin-skinned when it comes to the media, no doubt about it."

I remember watching Obama's interview with Bill O'Reilly. Despite the constant interruptions and typical Fox News attempts to discredit him, his self-control and poise were very impressive. I'd have given the bigoted old goat a real mouthful for a flagrant hit job. He was very in control.

I remember Bill Clinton after leaving office absolutely demolished a Fox bobblee-headed stooge in another attempted hit job interview. It was pretty humiliating. I'd like to see Obama give these clowns both barrels after leaving office in the way Clinton did.

Until then, he should stay in control. He's managed that pretty well with the media as far as I've seen.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

It's a sad day when the Chinese can claim the high political moral ground against America. The CPC must be absolutely loving this Republican farce, it's probably adding a decade to their own demise.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Until then, he should stay in control. He's managed that pretty well with the media as far as I've seen.

I don't remember him losing it even once. The guy has some amazing control. Bass' comment about him being thin-skinned was a pipe-dream not based in reality.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"It's a sad day when the Chinese can claim the high political moral ground against America. The CPC must be absolutely loving this Republican farce, it's probably adding a decade to their own demise."

Spot on. If I were a CCP bully-boy, I'd broadcast those debates non-stop on TV.

Are you thinking about democracy? Watch this and think carefully.

Corporate American news always had its problems. While news print was in a gradual decline, and TV news was mostly fluff, The Telecommunications Act of 1996, changed everything.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_Act_of_1996

Deregulation allowed for cross--ownership which lead to concentration of media ownership. This concentration of media ownership meant in just four short years, many rural markets became captive to one consistent message. Guess which one...

Further, to compete with cable, and then the intertubes, Infortainment reigned supreme.

At present, the internet allows people to get the kind of news they want. Problem is, too many Americans do not want to hear things they don't like.

The problem is education.

Obama calls on journalists to hold candidates accountable

Yes, yes, just the candidates and candidates only.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

And candidates' campaign managers who physically harm reporters. Heck, I only know one example--Corey Lewandoski, just got arrested in Florida. Try to guess which leading candidate he works for.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Maybe if Obama could get all IRS employees to testify under oath, or if stopped stonewalling freedom of information act requests, of if he resolved the misstatements made to faces of the Benghazi consulate staffs family, or maybe if he would admit that the Middle East is a bigger mess than when he took office, or if he could recognize that his term in office has been one of the worsts for black Americans since the Civil War, he might - just maybe - be able to make a statement asking for the press to be held accountable.

If Trump or Cruz ends up becoming president, I think a lot of the world would choose the Castros.

Well that's no surprise, the Left loves the Castro's. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the Lefty's here would take the Castro's over JFK himself. After all Kennedy did not allow for transgenders to choose their own bathrooms in the White House. Such bigotry cannot be tolerated right! Ridiculous yes. But too many years wistfully dreaming of Che's political executions make people a bit nutty like that.

“We are all invested in making this system work. We are all responsible for its success, and it’s not just for the United States that this matters, it matters for the planet,” Obama said.

Millions of Americans regardless of political affiliation believe that the US is in serious peril. "What difference, at this point, does it make" what people outside of America think. American's need to get their own house in order before they can worry about the rest of the world.

Please provide some examples where Obama has been thin-skinned when it comes to the media.

Fox News. They drive he batty. When it comes to political opinion that is different from his own, his skin is a mm thick.

The problem is education.

Exactly. See Emory University for the latest example. Those snowflakes can't handle someone writing Trump 2016 without losing touch with reality.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Corey Lewandoski, just got arrested in Florida.

Yep. 'Cause nothing spells manly man like manhandling a women.

Fox News.

That's not an example. Please provide examples.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Indeed one of Trump's Red Hats has been detained for battery.

May the Denial commence.....

heh heh... Speaking of batty... it just speaks for itself.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Fox News. He excludes them, ridicules them, and whines about the bad coverage he gets from Fox. Not only is it an example, it is the best example,

heh heh... Speaking of batty... it just speaks for itself

What? Are you saying that the Left does not admire the Castro's? Fidel himself endorsed Bernie Sanders for president last Fall. Who do you think are buying all of the Che' t-shirts and posters?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Wulf,

Fox News. He excludes them, ridicules them, and whines about the bad coverage he gets from Fox. Not only is it an example, it is the best example,

Enough about Trump....

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Ooooh, new insult. So and so is a few Raul Castro t-shirts short of a Bernie Sanders rally.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Fox News. He excludes them, ridicules them,

As should any intelligent American.

I remember watching Obama's interview with Bill O'Reilly. Despite the constant interruptions and typical Fox News attempts to discredit him, his self-control and poise were very impressive. I'd have given the bigoted old goat a real mouthful for a flagrant hit job. He was very in control.

Like he said.

Now John McCain for instance...

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Wolfpack: Well that's no surprise, the Left loves the Castro's. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the Lefty's here would take the Castro's over JFK himself. After all Kennedy did not allow for transgenders to choose their own bathrooms in the White House

This is considered intelligent conversation in the bubble. Get this man a radio show.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Fox News. He excludes them, ridicules them, and whines about the bad coverage he gets from Fox. Not only is it an example, it is the best example

Maybe you don't understand the word example? Fox "News" may be a reason behind him being thin skinned, but it's not an example of him being thin skinned. An example of this would be a time/event when something happened that showed him to be thin skinned. Fox "News" is not a time or an event. It is an entity.

So once again, some examples where Obama has been think skinned in regards to the media please. So far we have none.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

bass

why you think our enemies think of him as a joke and our friends and allies detest this guy?

I thought you didn't care what non-Americans think. But for your info, Obama is quite highly respected among most of 'our friends and allies' (with the notable exception of Israel).

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Gaslighting?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Exactly.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Maybe you don't understand the word example?

Well now I know what your narrow definition of an example is. From now on I know that for you an example can only be something that occurs at a specific time or event. Whatever dude.

When it comes to accountability, unlike the network news era, now there are opposing news outlets that can provide accountability. I'm guessing that Obama is fixated on Fox because it dares to question the powerful - Him. Obama is the most powerful individual in the world and He doesn't like being questioned or second guessed by anyone. So he goes on the attack. Like most on the Left he believes that opposing worldviews are illegitimate. That is why they have implemented speech codes and political correctness. Obama's press lament is a perfect 'example' of Orwellian newspeak. He wants the press to hold those who do not follow the speech codes to be held to account.

“I don’t know exactly what it will mean for Cuba’s future,” he said. “I think it made a big difference to the Cuban people. I can’t think of a better example of why a free press is so vital to freedom.”

This way of thinking is what is so ridiculous about Obama. Cuba does not have a free press - idiot! The people that were imprisoned in the weeks leading up to his visit know what is going on. Obama is blissfully ignorant. The Cuban press tows the line - that is Obama's idea of press accountability.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Well now I know what your narrow definition of an example is. From now on I know that for you an example can only be something that occurs at a specific time or event.

It depends on what examples are being asked for. In this case, I clearly asked for an example of a time or event where Obama has been thin skinned when it comes to the media:

Please provide some examples where Obama has been thin-skinned when it comes to the media.

You provided an example of something you say Obama has been thin skinned about, but no examples of when/where he has been thin-skinned about it.

You are complaining because:

A) You didn't want to answer the question that was asked, and didn't like it when I pointed out that you hadn't answered the question

B) You can't easily find any examples.

Come on, if Obama was thin skinned about the media as Bass claimed, there should be many, many examples out there. They should be absolutely abundant. Yet you and he (and anyone else who wants to pipe up) cannot even come up with a single video, a single article, a single example of a time that this happened?

The lack of anything to support the assertion proves the original statement to be blatantly incorrect. Obama is most definitely not thin skinned about the media.

And I know that annoys you guys.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

No bickering please.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

obama is the best president?

Oh well let's see how he dealt with the outside world:

1) Putin's Russia annexes Eastern Ukraine and threatens nuclear war if Nato or US-led forces intervenes. Obama's administration does nothing, and Russia now has strengthen it's international presence. This can be seen with Russia's increased influences in the Arctic, Syria, and Ukraine.

2) Arab spring: Obama administration leads a coalition of US allies in overthrowing a variety of government regimes in the form of economic, military aide to rebels and providing air dominance in regions such as Libya and Syria; without providing nation-building plan to restore each newly-regime overthrown country back to stability.

The result: More countries falling into disorder and anarchy, militant islamic movement has increased throughout the globe, the Rise of ISIS, and the flood of Refugees into Europe continues to this day, US air force munitions and weapons are depleting faster than being manufactured. US air divisions from the Marines, Navy, and Air force have desperately asked congress and the Senate house for more military funding, and have resulted to scrounging for spare parts and supplies to bolster their depleted air resources.

3) Asia: With China's claims to the South China sea, Obama administration decides it's a better idea to antagonize with China by diverting more military resources into the South China Sea rather than dealing with ISIS, working stronger alliance between US, Russia, Iran, and Syrian Al-Assad led government forces, bolster NATO defense, or providing Naval assistance to Refugees.

The result: China is even more persistent in claiming S China Sea, and has already begun arming and militarizing every artificial island in order to combat growing US military presence. China is also bolstering ties with Vietnam and will continue to maintain a presence in S China Sea indefinitely. US in return must maintain and provide more military expenses in maintaining its military forces in Asia, with plans of building new military bases in Philippines and Australia, as well as providing funds to S. East Asian nations allied to US. The end result is that the winner will need to maintain a strong robust military presence as well as providing ample resources and money to pay for such military presence.
