" Yeah I know I voted for Obama, but he didn't start the war. He assumed the responsibility of 2 poorly managed wars. Get the troops out. < :-) "

How do you manage constantly contradict yourself in the same message? Obama campaigned on Afghanistan being the "right" war. Obama is continuing it and bragging about how well it is going. How do you combine praise for that with the slogan "get the troops out"??

Obama and co-president Bill Clinton grow more Bush-like each week passing tax cuts for the rich and bombing the hell out of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Molenir, yes it does. There is a common denominator. george bush. he started all this, prosecuted the war poorly and couldn't complete it. Lied, allowed torture and then slimed away without completing what "he" started 7 years earlier.

Yeah I know I voted for Obama, but he didn't start the war. He assumed the responsibility of 2 poorly managed wars.

Get the troops out. < :-)

If he doesn't have the political will to indict and prosecute Bush, Cheney and Rumpsfeld for war crimes, let alone close down Guantanamo Bay and keep his campaign promises, then he'll never find a way to end the war, much less make any progress with this never ending war.

lol, the one has nothing to do with the other. Only a complete an utter moron, would even contemplate trying to prosecute Bush and Co. Shutting down Guantanamo is problematic due to the people they're holding there. And none of that, has anything to do with prosecuting the war in Afghanistan.

Who's paying for the war again?

DavidRameau,

I'm afraid you are right on the nose.

Wasn't there some major progress last year, or was it the year before that? It's hard to keep track of these 'new' developments, or even pay attention anymore; after all, this war's been going on for forever, it's too easy to forget reasons and causes. Even so, I'm sure the war'll still be still going long after Obama's finished serving his time. If he doesn't have the political will to indict and prosecute Bush, Cheney and Rumpsfeld for war crimes, let alone close down Guantanamo Bay and keep his campaign promises, then he'll never find a way to end the war, much less make any progress with this never ending war.

What, now? The guy you voted for isn't going to do that.

I always vote Nader. What do you think he would have done?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I agree Old Lad. Pull out the troops and be damned with the consequences. That's they kind of leadership I admire and respect.

This is the kind of flip-flop I can get behind! Obama declared troops would be out by a certain date, but now all bets are off. I think we will see Clinton replace him at the podium on this issue as well.

Its hard for them not to get confused.

I can't wait for Obama's "Mission Accomplished" banner. Maybe he'll ride a Segway across an air carrier deck?

The Dems are confusing themselves again. That's why the party is starting to implode.

Its hard for them not to get confused. On the one hand, their default setting is to defend their Lord and Master Obama, he who can do no wrong. While at the same time, they're used to thinking of war in both Iraq and Afghanistan as evil and immoral. You can see the quandary. Obama, their saint is continuing the war they oppose, yet they can't come out against Obama, that would be a betrayal. Almost makes you feel sorry for the little kool-aid drinkers.

Come again? Just now you were defending Obamas great job in Afghanistan and bragging that you would have put even more troops there, and now you want them all out???

If it was up to Obama supporters like myself, we'd have gone in with sufficient troops to begin with and done the job right and never wasted time, lives, equipment or money and never gone into Iraq." then you are only one out of many Obama supporters who think like this... Oh, did you read the wiki on Iraq?

Whats funny is, that if Bush was still in office and had made the exact same amount of progress, Obamas kool-aid drinkers would be frothing at the mouth over the lack of progress, saying it was a failure, caused by mismanagement, incompetence and stupidity.

You mean like how everyone is already doing now about Obama? Both are just as bad, in my opinion. Nothing funny about hypocrisy.

Obama done a great job trying to manage two wars, especially in Afghanistan. < :-)

Amazing what simply changing 1 letter from R to D can do to peoples attitudes.

Then why did Obama not give the # of troops requested by the Pentagon last year, instead of cutting the number in 1/4?

Wow! He ended the war in Iraq, now he's won in Afghanistan! I can't believe I started to doubt his ability!

Oh really? So what number of troops would be sufficient, and how do you define doing "the job right"?

So quickly people want to forget that george bush started this war under good intentions, we thought" Well, let's just wait for now what is considered the most trusted name in news - Wikileaks, and find out how bad or good of an intention it was.

If Obama's die hard supporters had their way, it wouldn't be going well at all

So quickly people want to forget that george bush started this war under good intentions, we thought, then left the US Military with measly support and went on to Iraq and to mismanage that war, also.

Obama done a great job trying to manage two wars, especially in Afghanistan. < :-)

Good thing Gitmo is still open. Gonna need it that way, to accomodate all the Taliban fighters and head choppers who don't get vaporized by drones. I support our president on this one. It is ironic that the war is the only thing going well for him.

If it weren't for Obama lying to his electorate we would never have seen this major progress. Thanks for pulling the wool over your sheeple's eyes Obama. You are a real champ.
