How can there even be a negotiation when the Senate hasn't even passed a budget to negotiate over! Oh, and it was supposed to be done last year. The House is negotiating with itself and Senator Reid is just sitting around doing nothing. For goodness sake pass something and get on with it already!

Democrats seem to be desperate to shut down the government. The House has passed a budget, the Senate won't even vote on it. Not only that, Republicans passed a bill that covers the military and minimal cuts that Obama has already agreed to. So why is it that he seems determined to veto it, on the off chance the Senate actually bothers to do their job?

I'm too tired of the rep's unceasing hostage taking, government shutdown this time around, aimed at pay for the previous hostage taking.

Are they listening people ? The vast majority of public back upgraded health care package, renewable policy, instead of roll-back of them.

I, for one, am sick and tired of the Environmental Protection Agency! Where does air quality come into their purview? How does their oversight extend to removing the tops of mountains and dumping them in neighboring valleys? Can either of these truly fall under the rubric of "environment"?

The Republican's attempts to attach riders to the budget bill to deny the EPA oversight over these areas makes absolute sense in the terms of funding the government.

Sorry, vast majority of the public? You're a bit backwards here. The vast majority of the public oppose these issues. They don't think the government should be doing what its doing, on health care or the environment. Do a bit of research please.

Wolfpack - ....Senator Reid is just sitting around doing nothing. For goodness sake pass something and get on with it already!

Democrat leader Reid has been very busy blaming the various Tea Parties and blaming the Republicans and blaming the media and blaming everyone else for "his" failure to pass a budget last year. That can be very exhausting for someone his age.
