Mitt's firing blanks.

But Biden says Obama carries a big stick ;-)

No matter Obama is still behind the 8-ball. He blew it in the first debate and thereby elevated Romney's stature in the eyes of the American public. Obama can go completely bi-polar and jump all over Romney next Tuesday and he will only be seen as being desperate.

It was announced this month that Obama has presided over the fourth straight $1 trillion annual budget deficit. He is incompetent and irresponsible. The guy can't even communicate with the State Dept over the security of our own officials in a country we just went to war with! He thinks if talk nice to terrorists and communists they will be nice to us. Again, he is incompetent.

Let me tell you, on day one of my administration I will label China a currency manipulator.

I guess that part of the Bible that says "Before pointing out the speck in your neighbor's eye, remove the moat from thine own" is taken out of the Mormon Bible?

In Washington, "currency manipulation" means a foreign country is setting their currency at a level OTHER than what Washington wants them to set it at.

But I guess when economic times are tough, it helps to have an external enemy, and there's enough fear /hatred of China that they are an appropriate scapegoat.

Fairness is an oxymoron for communist China.

I wonder if they make a mini-portable teleprompter for the President.

Murdoch accusing someone of lies - from the man whose unspeakable UK tabloids have wallowed in lies and filth decades. I just hope Americans ignore the voice from the sewer.

The teleprompter schtick is getting old bass. We can do better.

President Barack Obama settled into a Virginia resort Saturday, plotting to transform his pitch to voters after a lackluster first clash with Mitt Romney dampened his re-election hopes.

Ah, so he's taken a humility pill and is finally attending his debate prep.

To prepare, the president planned four days of cramming at the picturesque Kingsmill golf resort outside the historic colonial town of Williamsburg in the heart of Virginia, a state that could help Obama claim a second White House term.

Of course, a golf resort. Who didn't see that coming?

"Over the past several years the president has failed to call China a currency manipulator," Romney said.

Major campaign donor, on the other hand...

"Today, auto sales are the highest they've been in more than four years," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address.

That's not saying much. And guess who is enjoying the most growth? Japan's manufacturers. One of which is Nissan, which has plants here in Tennessee. The Korean manufacturers are enjoying growth too. The ones growing the least? Do I have really have to spell it out?

"GM is back," he continued.

Let's look at those Volt numbers again...

Fire at her own 'banker' was that a joke? This is really a cheating means! Well done, Mr Romney!

“Let me tell you, on day one of my administration I will label China a currency manipulator.”

Ooooohhhh. Day one you will call someone a "currency manipulator". Oh my, that will shake the world's markets. So who are you going to lend money from then Mitt?

Does anyone happen to know what the elevation of Hofstra University in New York is?

Romney's not making many friends, now, is he? One doesn't need friends to be a candidate, or course; one does need them to be an effective president.

He's already labeled Russia "America's number one geopolitical foe" - look how that has gone over. Good luck with strengthening sanctions on Iran, Mitt: Without the Russians on board, nothing - NOTHING - happens.

Designating China a "currency manipulator" also does nothing that could not be accomplished through more discrete channels. It mandates investigations but does not mandate actions; these investigations and actions can (and have) been taken independently of any chest-beating. The Yuan has appreciated about 8% against the dollar over the past two years, thanks in no small part to quite diplomacy. More appreciation is probably called for; demanding it in terms of legal measures is certainly not the way to obtain a positive response from China. http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexchange/2012/03/chinas-currency

Mitt's foreign policy obtuseness may be due to election imperatives - one would hope so, for if he does manage to become president and he does continue in this same vein, American foreign policy will bear the price.

.Reagan call the Soviet Union an "Empire of Evil" and it didn't stop them from some of the most fruitful dialogues in the history of the cold war.

" .Reagan call the Soviet Union an "Empire of Evil" and it didn't stop them from some of the most fruitful dialogues in the history of the cold war." Excellent point. One lesson the current politicians ought to learn.

The teleprompter schtick is getting old bass. We can do better.

So are the Bush attacks, getting really old. We should do better with that as well.

Murdoch accusing someone of lies - from the man whose unspeakable UK tabloids have wallowed in lies and filth decades. I just hope Americans ignore the voice from the sewer.

Comparing that to the lies that Obama and the Dems have repeatedly said from time to time again is a makes Murdoch look like a choir boy. And Murdoch is not the President of the US. Murdoch may have ruined a UK tabloid paper, but Obama ruined an entire country, huge difference and given a second term will destroy the country.

I don't understand. What's the difference between ruining a country and destroying a country?

One man! What mighty powers this Obama possesses! If only we could harness his powers for good . . .

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

@Bass Can you dismiss Murdoch as 'choirboy'? The News of the World phone hacking scandal ( including the hacking of a dead girl's phone ) was an absolute disgrace. I'm not sure if you know about the Sun's former editor issuing a grovelling apology for printing filthy lies about football fans who according to his newspaper, stole wallets from the dead after a tragic disaster. The man leaves a trail of slime behind him.

The failed president has been clobbered by the truth of his own failures and was not able to stand up to the facts and truth presented during the debate. Many Americans think that he hasn't accomplished anything and the economy is still a mess. He has no moral clarity and has already been outclassed in record and intellect and is a blank account period. The debates started with two losers therefore it can not end with a winner.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

"after a lackluster first clash with Mitt Romney dampened his re-election hopes"

Pfft! Obama has way too much charisma to lose. And, anyway, the next debate isn't on his anniversary, so he'll be more focused on attacking Romney and Ryan - heck, he may even outdo Biden on interrupting and laughing!

plasticmonkey: "One man! What mighty powers this Obama possesses. If only we could harness his powers for good..."

Har! Good one!

So are the Bush attacks, getting really old.

So?

The debates started with two losers therefore it can not end with a winner.

Couldnt be truer.

Two losers ready to hold Americas neck under the current while other nations sneak past them.

How has White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism allowed itself to become a laughing stock? Well, at least we have Australia for about another 5 years or so....

Obama making friends by outsourcing American foreign policy to the UN, NATO, Russia, and China.

Without the USA interventions that leaves Russia and China to take the place of the USA. China knows that why else would China tell the USA and Japan to fix their finance problem. Russia and China have more power than America.
