if he is to be judged by stock market performance, I think his term was successful.

Before he was elected, some left-wing economists said that his election would crash the stock market.

Instead, I recall to stock market bouncing 5% in the month of his election victory. And it’s kept going well.

A big part of this were the tax cuts implemented.

So he can certainly take some good points for that.

The problem is he bungled the coronavirus handling, and doubled down on his do nothing approach rather than admit he got it wrong and change course.

Other problems were his handling of the issues surrounding race.

And as always, the coronavirus debacle has resulted in massive deficit spending. That one was on both sides though, and to some extent unavoidable. It would have been less bad had he taken coronavirus seriously though.

This is a rare election for me where I will be happy either way, not being American. Trump wins, it’s good for my retirement investments. Biden wins, it’s good for the health of the American people which is also good for my retirement investments, in the long run.

This being a non-partisan post, is bound to be thumbed down by all :)

Trump people STILL get upset when I bring up that Trump promotes injecting Mr Clean for COVID 19 treatment (and it's true - he does promote this). It's not, though - it does exactly what "conservatives" want it to. Thanks to the way the Electoral College works, jerrymandering and the over-representation of small States in Presidential and Senate elections, the majority of moderate or liberal Americans who want a government made up of people like them who work for them have less of a say than people who vote for rich old white men whose idea of capitalism is running the country for the benefit of "wealth creators," i.e. other rich old white men just like them.
