I'm all for it, as long as the money comes from "private sector", go for it full throttle.

"wasteful programs and vital investments"

Obama sure does have a lot of vital investments. What does he consider a wasteful program?

“Imagine what that means when China and Germany and Japan are all continuing to plump up their basic research and we’re just sitting there doing nothing,” he added. Yes IMAGINE! This means countries like China, Germany and Japan will be using LESS fossil fuels, while the USA keeps buying OIL from nice countries like SAUDIA ARABIA that were behing the 9/11 massacres, supporting Al QAEDA etc...this is where AMERICAN $$$ is pouring into night and day! Thanks to policies by greedy fools like ex prez BUSH and his greedy friends!

I'm still waiting to hear what Obama considers a wasteful government program.

Well?

Green Energy is wasteful IMHO. Nuclear power is the only practical alternative to fossil fuels.

That would be the US Military. Nothing more wasteful then defending the country.
