The GOP always struggles with human interaction. It was really nice moment between two individuals.

The Secret Service actually DID know ahead of time and approved. It was a staged moment in an effort to try and make the President look more like a regular Joe.

As for the 'boycott', if the man makes good pizza I wouldn'T care how he votes.

Now we would not want old Mitt Romney to get a bear hug like this, right? It might mess up that perfect hair style and that perfect SMILE, that he must practice in front of some of his many mirrors night and day!

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Certainly more voter friendly than Biden with an old biker chick on his lap....

Had to be staged! The SS would have wiped this dude out if that was not the case! And to sailwind, I second that post!

I prefer freedom to scroll down :)

holy jeebus the things people complain about. It was staged, boohoo, go cry me a river.

It's called a brain fart. The GOP can't handle the truth, and can't handle the fact that someone supports his beliefs enough to be comfortable in embracing them. It's just plain old vitriol from jaded people, and nothing else. In the end these negative comments will only garner the man positive comments three fold, and increase his business, while pointing out how shallow the people giving the hate are.

Apparently the positive reviews are outnumbering the negative ones: http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2012/09/boycott-against-obamas-bear-hugging-buddy-failing-miserably/56713/

Nah, it's called in the tank Obama Media bias. Obama couldn't ask for any sweeter free coverage. I mean really, since when were comments that were being said at a web site is actually somehow newsworthy?

If that was the case we here on the JT comment board would have been Media superstars by now.

Some seriously bitter people out there.

I thought it was a nice touch. Republicans are just jealous they are stuck with an elderly, mega-rich bloke who is so out of touch with Joe Public it's laughable - he can't even drink a beer like a normal bloke! They hate the fact Obama likes a beer and a pizza which people can relate to.

American election gimmick. Of course this was staged.

The believers in one party will tell us this is a wonderful moment, and believers in the other party will rightly ask if this pizza owner really believes, as Obama does, that he did not build his business; Obama built.

Plenty more of these public relations gimmics to come in the next few weeks.

I get it, Barry and Joe getting a feel of the "little people. "

On this whole hugging thing.

Romney laid down his rules on it back in March. (Short ad before the video)

"Get a life, people!"

Ha ha, lol.

"Had to be staged! The SS would have wiped this dude out"

Or maybe this dude would have lifted the SS guys in the air too, ha ha!

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

It may have been staged, big deal! Now if this was Mitt?? Let me guess, maybe at a golf country club?? Some guy with real soft hands giving him a rich gentleman's handshake would satisfy all the Obama haters???????

The Liberal Media Bias easily demonstrated:

This article,

When Romney made his comments on being hugged by many Southern women on 03/12/2012

The headline was:

I find it quite hilarious myself.

I wonder if the man used to be a chiropractor, looks like he's fixing some kinks in the president's spine.

I love how the out of context Fox soundbites of the "They did not build that" speech become fact. At least this registered Republican has the brain to understand what was actually said. Republican reading with critical thinking....take him down!

LOL, this is pure comedy, would be funnier if not for the fact that whoever controls this country wields immense power, enough to seriously hurt this world, very scary. Reminds me of the Roman Empire, I digress,

Although I like Obama, I can't argue with the folks claiming it to be staged. Anyways, who cares? Let's see if Mitt's team can pull off one better.

"Anyways, who cares? Let's see if Mitt's team can pull off one better."

Heh, how can he top this now, hug a homo?

Poor Romney. Nobody likes him. His gazillions can only get him so far.

Look at Obama's posture and pose. He's prepared for this and probably practiced beforehand.

I can't wait for the first debate.
