To states will achieve peace faster than when one is an extended concentration camp under the other state's rule.

USA has enabled Israel to evolve into a criminal state. America for decades, have not only watched Israel rape the Palestinian people but sponsored the crime. And when the case was brought up to the United Nations Security Council for justice, the U.S. used its veto power to kill resolutions that would have denounced Israel. Less talk more action Obama.

"what happens when the two states ( the Palestinian state ) is created and peace doesn't happen?"

Israel will win the war.

how do you want to create one Palestinian state you have 2 territories like Cisjordania & Gaza separated?

I predict I'll see my grand kids still talking about it...

A correction. Of the some 56,000 people who perished most were not Jews. This is from the AP article "Facts about former Buchenwald Concentration Camp": "Approximately 250,000 prisoners were held at Buchenwald from its opening in July 1937 to its liberation in April 1945. An estimated 56,000 people were killed, including approximately 11,000 Jews." It may be that of all the various groups of people killed at Buchenwald--Gypsies, POWs, dissidents, etc.--Jews might have had the largest percentage of their people killed (I'll need to check more).

I've been to Buchenwald and the first thing that shocked me was the utterly beautiful landscape that the Buchenwald bluff overlooked. I had been prepared for the remnants of the horrors I saw there but not for the breathtaking beautiful of the surroundings. I had to wonder how people could commit the cruelties that this did in the midst of such natural beauty.

I am glad that Obama denounced Holocaust denial. I want to remind people once again that the Holocaust was worse than is generally imagined. Along with the 6 million Jews some 5 million non-Jews perished. This includes some 250,000 Gypsies, who lost the greatest proportion of their population than anybody, including the Jews. Remembering only the 6 million Jewish victims and forgetting the other 5 million victims I believe is a form of Holocaust denial. The Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. has detailed records on all of the Holocaust victims.

jeancolmar, you sound like you are paid to write this drivel. "56,000 people, including some 11,000 Jews, perished there at the hands of Nazis." How does this add up to the Zionist claims of between 4 and 6 million? There is substantial proof that this number was grossly exaggerated for propaganda purposes to blackmail Europe into turning a blind eye on their genocide and subsequent land grab in Palestine. Shall I post some info? Also, labeling anyone a "Holocaust denier" just because they dispute figures is absolutely outrageous. It is a total insult to all Jewish victims who did die a horrendous death in the holocaust. Using their suffering for political, financial and religious motives is low.

"Israel will win the war."

And just how are you expecting them to achieve that one, young man?

I believe jeancolmar was refering to just the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. You really need to read posts before you respond rather than glance.

He was referring to the Buchenwald camp, and not to the total holocaust numbers. Buchenwald, incidentally, was NOT an extermination camp. Once again, the drivel is in your post.

I´d say peace can be achieve faster if both side acknowledge the other´s right to exist. The PA has had 20 years to build prepare the foundation for a state, and preferred to spend the huge amounts of aid on promoting terrorism. And you don´t even want to mention Hamas.

So Den Den how many Jews did die in the Holocaust? You make assertions based on facts only you know. I won't call you a "denier" but the B.S. meter is red zoning.

Even one Jewish civilian is one too many. It is not a game with a score. The numbers I referred to was a reference to the misconception that the only victims were Jewish, an impression I was lead to believe at history lessons in my school. So, without understanding my meaning, you feel right to discredit me, and believe 6 million, from where? What is your source? How was it physically possible to exterminate this many with the available resources and manpower? You just use propaganda for political reasons.

Moderator: Readers, please keep the discussion focused on Obama's visit to Buchenwald and his remarks there. Inflammatory remarks will not be permitted.

And Den Den you still refuse to put substance to your assertions. How you were mis-educated is not relevant and so is your assumption that everyone else was too. I've known since high school that all sorts of people considered undesirable were murdered by the Nazis.

Now read Blackops' post. He provides some substance to his assertion, substance with which one can agree or disagree. I am not convinced since the Nazis were much better organized than the Khmer Rouge. Also, IBM assisted with the logistics with their computing machines. While I am not stuck on the number 6 million, I am more suspicious of those who vigourously oppose it not for the pursuit of truth but to push another narrative.

What number do you feel more comfortable using, Den Den?

SuperLib,

What number do you feel more comfortable using, Den Den?

Apparently, something around 'one' seems the most specific number Den Den has provided.
