Obama names special envoy to global Islamic group

Silly Obama still thinks the force of his personality will magically win the war on terror.

GWB appointed a similar envoy, as the story says. Was he being 'bass-ackwards'? If you believe so, then that's fine, but if not, that makes you a blind Obama-hater.

You all over estimate Muslims. I grew up with muslims in both, the US and Middle East, and the majority of these peopele only care for is food to eat, place to sleep, and a little fun at the end of the day.

None of them care about- taking over the world, jihad, politics, advancement, climate. They live for today with yesterday in mind.

Seriously think about it, if a good portion of 1.5 billion muslims or 300+ million Arabs thought like most of you think they think, don't you think things would be a tad worse than they are?

Screw pride. If the US wants to undermine Muslim support to Al-Qaeda, they'll gonna have to do stuff unconventionally.

Sorry Sarge, he's not the only one. Many here on JT think the same thing. He's only towing a line of muslim appeasment. There will be no solution as the muslim world already does not trust the US and even celebrated after 9/11. I think we should just not trust this bunch at all. I mean why is a "special envoy" needed at all? To appease. that is why. We are becoming more and more like Britain. This has to stop.

I agree with sharky. It's the world's Muslims who need to make efforts to repair relations with the U.S.
