The MSF is trying to cover up their incompetence for staying in a combat zone too long and then getting used by the Taliban. There are no sanctuaries in a hot combat zone.

War Crime.

I'd say when future children study American history, the W. Bush presidency will be known as when America began to lose it's last remaining good will with the rest of the world and Obama's presidency is the nails in the coffin.

It doesn't matter that terrorists knowingly use schools and hospitals as makeshift bases for operations and groups like MSF know this and continue business as usual anyways and are then complicit in the terrorists group plans, all anyone sees are the crying mothers of children and killed and angry locals carrying out the dead.

@Crazy Joe"There are no sanctuaries in a hot combat zone".

I can recall some commercials from manufacturers of Precision Weapons : 'Avoiding Casualitues. Reducing risk. Minimizing collateral damage. In a new era of warfare our precision weapons are meeting the mission - hitting the target and nothing else'.

In reality they bomb everything. Then some sorrow mug of official spokesperson applies on TV, mumbling something like "Ughm...hmm...collateral damage, you know..".

Burning Bush is absolutely right : Gross Incompetence.**

Lets go back to the first report on this incident:

U.S. forces in Afghanistan said they conducted an airstrike on Kunduz at 2:15 a.m. The spokesman, U.S. Army Col. Brian Tribus, said the strike “may have resulted in collateral damage to a nearby medical facility” and that the incident was under investigation.

"May" have been some "collateral" damage? In fact, they targeted and destroyed a clinic for over an hour!

Its incidents like this that come to light that make me declare that this is the tip of the iceberg. In fact, one obvious conclusion is that their goal was to make sure that there was no one left to talk, as has apparently been done in so many other incidents, particularly those involving Predator drones. In those cases, they hit the target again when firemen and paramedics arrived. But of course, the military is quick to blandly say something as dismissive as Colonel Tribus.

This folks is why I have little more than contempt for soldiers. Their job is to kill people, and far too many of them LOVE that job. The rest cover for them.

The air raid came days after Taliban fighters seized control of the strategic northern city of Kunduz, in their most spectacular victory since being toppled from power by a US-led coalition in 2001.

Somehow it seems AWOL Bush's campaign has turned out a terrible result accomplishing nothing but innocents dying in a mad gambit of slaughter meets counter slaughter. Three Trillion well spent. Guess it's time for the GOP-Shia-Tea to get in there and kick some more butt. We aren't sure whose, but, then again the Shia-Tea isn't interested in the results of their Wars, just as long as there are more of them. The love-child of capitalism meets insanity.

We wouldn't be in this mess and wouldn't have to lick the soles of Vladimir Putin had Obama not wimped out on his promise and acted like a man did what he was supposed to do, but the yellow shirt carrying Sainted one couldn't resist the urge to tuck his tail between his legs. Wonder how that crow tastes Barack?

Three Trillion well spent.

That's what...9 troops so far?

Guess it's time for the GOP-Shia-Tea to get in there and kick some more butt.

I wish it were so, but alas.....

We aren't sure whose, but, then again the Shia-Tea isn't interested in the results of their Wars, just as long as there are more of them. The love-child of capitalism meets insanity.

You mean, the same way, the left love wearing yellow shirts with the same things written on them, "take advantage of me, I'm a hippie and I believe love conquers all evils" the results speak for themselves, 4 years and Assad is still in power, ISIS is cutting off heads. Obama foreign policy, quality at its very worst.

more and more money and military effort being wasted on these futile "wars on" anything. and what results? none! I agree this will be seen as the era in which the US lost its right to the moral high ground in world affairs.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

sooner NATO get out the better.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Somebody/somebodies must had called in for the airstrike and provided the jet bombers an incorrect location coordinates. But ever since US and NATO forces formally left en masse Afghanistan, they don't really have forward controllers anymore.

So who called in the air strike? Even if it's one of the Afghan forces, Afghanistan won't admit it since it's their own country and they're fighting the Taliban in the city. And the US and NATO won't risk embarrassing their hosts.

Anyways, on-site investigations can't happen until all the fighting end and Kunduz is secured enough for any investigators to work in there safely.

Obama pledges PROBE into fatal airstrike on Afghan hospital

I think the Afghan hospital has already recieved all the "PROBING" it can handle. HOW ABOUT SOME JUSTICE?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

In Afghanistan, many U.S. Marines death were caused by U.S. Air Force. They have bombed wedding ceremony. They have killed villagers with missiles. Murdering Patients at hospital is unforgivable war crime.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Hilarious! The Nobel peace prize winner who bombed a hospital now wants an investigation so the nobel weasel prize winner can point the finger at someone else instead of doing the simple act of looking in the mirror.

I'm sure tomorrow's breaking news will be Putin some how, through North Korean channels called in the air strike. And the sad thing is, many would believe it since it came from the mouth of the savior.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

The probe will take months, and the result of it will never be announced.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Afghan forward forces will likely close an investigation before it gets pointed at them.

The investigation shouldn't take more than an hour.

Don't watch too much NCIS or CSI. Not everything wraps up in one episode.

AWOL Bush and the Shia-Tea have racked up quite the spending spree for Americans, most of it hidden and unreported. After this latest failure we consult some projections and ask, "What in the world are these Americans thinking?" And, more importantly, what in the world are they thinking in returning the Shia-Tea to the Oval Office?

Before you answer, have a read:

"The current wars have been paid for almost entirely by borrowing. This borrowing has raised the US budget deficit, increased the national debt, and had other macroeconomic effects, such as raising consumer interest rates. Unless the US immediately repays the money borrowed for war, there will also be future interest payments. We estimate that interest payments could total over $7 trillion by 2053." source: http://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/costs/economic

While the Rump bangs on about his business sense and accomplishments, the voter has yet to hear anything of the Seven Trillion and 38 more years of paying for AWOL's Wars of Lies.

If that's the Shia-Tea business model they keep promoting there seems to be some really big holes in their goose step to victory. So far killing doctors and children in a hospital is a lousy return on the US Investment of Seven Trillion but so far the Shia-Tea has promised more and better investments with the same pedigree and likely same results.

This should have been lost after WW2.

AWOL Bush and the Shia-Tea have racked up quite the spending spree for Americans,

With Obama adding exceptionally to that cost which is fast approaching $20 Trillion

most of it hidden and unreported.

But when Obama is out of office, sadly, the truth will reveal itself.

After this latest failure we consult some projections and ask, "What in the world are these Americans thinking?" And, more importantly, what in the world are they thinking in returning the Shia-Tea to the Oval Office?

More like, they will be thinking, we finally got the guy with the yellow shirt out of office. Wonder if his presidential library will be painted in his favorite color "yellow" as well.

While the Rump bangs on about his business sense and accomplishments, the voter has yet to hear anything of the Seven Trillion and 38 more years of paying for AWOL's Wars of Lies.

But what about voters not hearing or seeing the fruits of 7 years of so called success...besides killing OBL? We can't go on his foreign policy. Oh, if only "George Carlin" were alive today....

Hmmmm...happened on Obama's watch, the name of the president and the responsibility is Barack Hussein Obama, I would say 110% he should be held accountable for this tragedy and I hope he will provide answers in the coming days. Seems like a war crime to me.

Yes, AWOL Bush's war of lies do. Well put.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

I was talking about both presidents from both admin.

Gross incompetence sounds most likely, I agree. Spotter communication problem?

The Taliban's claim that the US did this deliberately makes zero sense.

Large hosptal complex. Possibly some of the Taliban did get inside somewhere, (who knows?), but the truth will inevitably be lost in the general shouting and the larger blame game.

How come Obama hasn't got the U.S. out of Afghanistan yet after six and a half years in office?
