Obama preparing to endorse Hillary Clinton = Making sure the teleprompters are in good working order.

What other option would he have? I can't wait to hear the fabricated achievements. What if she is indicted? What a slap in the face that would be.

"Obama preparing to endorse Hillary Clinton"

Thanks for the warning...

6 ( +8 / -2 )

With Hillary Clinton close to securing the Democratic nomination for president, Obama is on the verge of formally endorsing his former secretary of state and starting to aggressively make the case against Republican Donald Trump.

The first part is easy enough, the second part Donald J. Trump has already been convicted in the court of Public Opinion.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Why say anything at all?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Because he thinks she'd be a good president. And he's been a good president. So it's a good endorsement.

0 ( +11 / -11 )

Now Obama needs to unite the democrat party, the same way he's united the country . . . Oh wait.

-4 ( +7 / -11 )

Considering she will be forever tethered to Obama's foreign policy failures (hitting the reset button with Russia, drawing a line in the sand in Syria, leading from behind in Libya, etc., etc., etc.) it makes sense that he'd support her.

Thank you, DNC-iSIS, for preparing to anoint such a poor candidate. . . .

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Well, Mr "Transparency" Obama fails again. Clinton's TPP e-mails won't be released until after the election. I don't know what's going on over there at CNN, but it's good to see them being a little objective once in a while.

CNN's Jake Trapper reports that FOIA requests from the State Department take an average of 111 days, while the Clinton TPP e-mails will now take up to 489 days, and after the election. It's important because Clinton promoted TPP while Secretary, but now half-heartedly opposes it saying it needs a second look.

Obama is just as much a flip flopper as Hillary no self respecting liberal would vote for her.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

Obama is just as much a flip flopper as Hillary no self respecting liberal would vote for her.

Obama has been an excellent president. Hillary is the victim of a smear campaign. Both of them are infinitely better than any of the circus that the Republicans put up for nomination - and in particular they are both infinitely better than Trump. No self-respecting liberal would NOT vote for her if she wins the nomination.

0 ( +8 / -8 )

What other option would he have? I can't wait to hear the fabricated achievements. What if she is indicted? What a slap in the face that would be.

How ironic coming from someone who supports a party whose members went from trashing Trump to no end to fully endorsing him.

Now Obama needs to unite the democrat party, the same way he's united the country . . . Oh wait.

More irony... You guys are jokes.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Obama has been an excellent president.

While i wont deny Obama is an alright president nothing special.

I never endorsed Trump once I was firmly for Bernie but the democrats and neo-liberals were more intrested in getting a woman in the white house than listen to people's ideas if you want the status quo you vote for Hillary.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Obama preparing to endorse Hillary Clinton

Appears he didn't get the memo that Americans are not into dynasties. That's why the Bush family and Clinton's need to go away and never be heard from again. . . .

6 ( +11 / -5 )

Seems He expects Hillary will become next President. He is waiting until she collects several more delegates on Tuesday morning. Was there anyone congratulating Trump when he collected one more than required delegates? But Sanders is still trying to. win.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

if you want the status quo you vote for Hillary.

In this case, the status quo is infinitely better than the Trump alternative.

I'm with you though that Bernie would be the best.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

What's taking him so long?

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Got a chuckle seeing on the news tonight of Mrs. Bill Clinton's podium wobbling and then came crashing to the floor in Culver City. This may have been a sign that she ought to find a new line of work.

Perhaps the red arrow on Mrs. Clinton’s logo should be changed to point down. . . .

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

This, from north of the 49th - Clinton is a pathetic choice as a woman representative of the best of what the US has to offer; Trump is worse. This has to be the absolutely most pathetic excuse for a US election I've seen in my forty years of observation and active participation in the process of politics (admittedly in Canada). I fear for the US citizens who have to make a choice. This is going to be ugly.. Sadly.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

What's taking him so long?

It's either:

A.) Another example of him leading from behind, or,

B.) He can't because Mrs. Clinton has yet to get rid of the challenger standing in the way of her coronation, that pesky aging socialist from Vermont, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and his legion of disaffected and disillusioned young democrat and independent supporters. It severely hampers and weakens her efforts to pivot to the moderate center for the general election, as Sen. Sanders and his followers forces to keep pulling her further to the left; something that was not in the Clinton original playbook by this time in our election cycle. . . .

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

She is on record denouncing illegals (in fact, her voice was recorded and is online - Youtube and other websites). Bill Clinton also denounced illegals in the 1990's in his inaugural speech - also on Youtube and many other websites. Quite the hypocrites. Blame Trump when they delivered precisely the same message!

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

What other option would he have? I can't wait to hear the fabricated achievements. What if she is indicted? What a slap in the face that would be.

She's contributed something as Secretary of State and as a Senator? What are her accomplishments? I can only think of a mile long list of disasters. This endorsement must be killing Obama.

I love it, can't wait to see Trump slam her.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Here she is slamming illegals in 2003: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2015/05/07/hillary-2003-i-am-you-know-adamantly-against-illegal-immigrants-n1995826

LOL

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

A much more humorous joke is the liberals who actually believe a Bernie Sanders cannot break the nation with the policies presented by him. More laughable are the bums who seem to think Hillary is the target of a witch hunt. If anything she has the POTUS on her side to influence the outcome. Hillary lies like a bum. Hillary has violated protocol. Hillary is not fit to lead! Only a bum could believe she is fit to be POTUS.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

"that pesky aging socialist from Vermont"

Go Bernie! Go Bernie! Go Bernie! Go Bernie! Go Bernie! Go Bernie! Go Bernie!

Never give up! Never surrender!

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Read about Bernie's life. He really is a sad bum. And his wife was FIRED from a university. Come on, Democrats truly are crazy to run, but, we know....they get rich off university speaker fees. GAG.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

A much more humorous joke is the liberals who actually believe a Bernie Sanders cannot break the nation with the policies presented by him.

Yeah, because it's not like those policies have ever worked anywhere else in the worl... oh, wait.

More laughable are the bums who seem to think Hillary is the target of a witch hunt.

Yeah, 86 investigations into Benghazi that found nothing have proven that.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Strangerland....did you read about those words that both Bill and Hillary said long ago about illegals? Did you listen to the videos or recordings? Why are you trying to talk about Benghazi now? LOL

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

This whole election is horrible and we were not left with many viable options to even choose from; on BOTH sides. The only reason why I'm either considering voting for Hillary is because she seems to be a tad better than the alternative....which not a reason why I would want to vote for the next POTUS.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Hillary "won" Puerto Rico, but keep this in mind - Puerto Rican officials expected more than 700,000, but only 60,671 made it to the ballot box owing to the fact that only 430 polling places were open this year compared to 1,500 in 2008.

Hmmm...

1 ( +2 / -1 )

@ Stranger......nowhere else in the world with socialism has a nearly 100 million eligable worker NOT in the workforce. Or an entitlement system used as career positions. USA cannot raise taxes enough to pay for the Bernie dreamers plans. FACT!

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Largest report Clinton has enough delegates. She will have rally with Hollywood stars and singer, So is Sanders. No such enjoyable rally rumor by Trump campaign, just a news. Trump ordered surrogate to blast judge.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Strangerland....did you read about those words that both Bill and Hillary said long ago about illegals? Did you listen to the videos or recordings? Why are you trying to talk about Benghazi now?

Because I'm pointing out the smear campaign faced by Hillary.

Regarding her comments, I see nothing wrong with them. Illegal immigration should be stopped if and when possible. I'd be concerned about a politician who said we should let in anyone who wants to come in without consideration.

So I'm failing to see the controversy you feel you've dug up.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

"USA cannot raise taxes enough to pay for the Bernie dreamers plans. FACT!"

Amazing how the U.S. can afford to maintain a stockpile of nuclear weapons and can maintain bases in Japan, Korea, Germany, etc. but is the only major country not to guarantee helthcare for all citizens.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I worked for the government and part of our duty was to give service to the zillions of illegals. We also had to turn down benefits for Americans at the same time. How do you think we feel? We talked to tens of thousands of poor. Most people are not in that kind of position, but imagine it, if you will. There was no way to verify the income for an illegal. That is done by using social security numbers which illegals do not have. They get to "self-certify" their income! Government employees are weary of watching this kind of ridiculous situation. We had to have a group of bilingual Spanish speakers for them, and some of them were related to cartel members which they admitted! Please, people. Being a liberal is cute in college, but not so cute in real life.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Read about Bernie's life. He really is a sad bum

Aging socialist Bernie Sanders is raking in millions by staying in the race. Time will only tell if he redistributes all of his new-found wealth to his unwashed masses. . . .

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Serrano - the last I heard about England's healthcare is that it was going bankrupt AND their doctors are leaving for other countries. France is also not a happy place with Hollande chasing off many millionaires due to his horrendous tax of the wealthy. This has made the French poorer, overall. It has also made the French very angry at him.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

People are actually comparing the candidates? Are you thinking, "On the one hand, Trump is a bigot, but on the other, I really have reservations about Clinton's involvement in Libya."

0 ( +2 / -2 )

nowhere else in the world with socialism has a nearly 100 million eligable worker NOT in the workforce.

If there are 100 million eligible workers not in the workforce, then the nation is already broken, and you are complaining that Bernie might break it. Maybe you should be looking at implementing an entire different system to fix it - the Bernie system.

I worked for the government and part of our duty was to give service to the zillions of illegals. We also had to turn down benefits for Americans at the same time. How do you think we feel?

What does that have to do with the so-called controversy you feel you've dug up on Hillary? And who are you arguing against? Who has argued for open immigration?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

I worked for the government and part of our duty was to give service to the zillions of illegals.

Using word like zillions is cute in college, but not so cute in real life.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Why are you voting me down for telling the truth? Where is the "so-called" controversy about Hillary? She has been controversial for decades. It's not "so-called". Watch the video: Hillary Clinton: Career Criminal She's been found guilty many times. And fined. Most people would not be FINED if they were not guilty.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

It's funny how people that don't know or understand economics can think Sanders dumb and I repeat DUMB idea of radical incom redistribution will work for the US, it wouldn't. Number one, the GDP isn't even over 0.3% we are spending more than we are taking in, unemployment is particularly high among minorities, especially Blacks, people aren't spending money, baby boomers taking themselves out of the job market and retiring and then having a 74 year old socialist wanting to rob Paul to give to Peter. It'll never work. The affluent can always relocate if the tax code is too aggressive and repressive. Also, congress would never agree or pass Sanders warped ideology.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

The US has declining median incomes - at least up until 2014. http://www.advisorperspectives.com/dshort/updates/Household-Incomes-by-State

If you look at the chart, the US overall has declined in median income by 7%.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Watch the video: Hillary Clinton: Career Criminal

Give us a link. But I'm guessing it's just more of the same smear campaign.

Number one, the GDP isn't even over 0.3% we are spending more than we are taking in

Time to cut military welfare.

unemployment is particularly high among minorities, especially Blacks

Which Bernie is trying to fix.

The affluent can always relocate if the tax code is too aggressive

But they won't, and if they do, they will leave a vacancy for those who are willing to pay their fair share of taxes.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

As Secretary of State, Mrs. Bill Clinton did nothing but fly around for photo ops with world diplomats. What decisions she did make made matters worse. Libya is the worst example, pushing hard to overthrow Gaddafi with no plans for the aftermath. Today, it is ISIS' new playground.

She is so embedded with political self-interest that she's blind to any world view, any long-term direction. What would a Mrs. Clinton administration look like? One of leading from behind, stagnation, stonewalling, stalling and incompetence; in other words, the status quo.

Anyone who takes the time to look at the big picture that is Mrs. Clinton will see that she'll only perpetuate the damage done both internationally and domestically by her predecessor. . . .

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

A few news sources are declaring Clinton as the nominee, including the AP and CBS.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Of course it is assumed I don't have an objective eye. But why? I am a former Democrat.

On the video are the words of Jimmy Carter, calling the pardons the Clintons gave to cocaine and other drug traffickers, "shameful". And the Clintons usually had funds to show from those pardons. i guess I never should have been a Democrat because Bill Clinton's behavior was not acceptable to me. And his antics with Monica were just the tip of the iceberg.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

There are many others I hope will watch the video. Go on your path to Never-Never Land.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

"It's funny how people that don't know or understand economics can think Sanders dumb and I repeat DUMB idea of radical incom redistribution will work for the US"

Weren't you a fan of Ben Carson, the man who proposed a biblically-inspired tax?

Honk!

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Using word like zillions is cute in college, but not so cute in real life.

It's not cute in college either - what is it, somewhere between a gazillion and a unicorn rainbow fart? Seems right wingers are slowly recognizing the inevitability of America's first female president and are now at the second stage of the Kübler-Ross model, anger. The problem with that model is that most right-wingers never make it through bargaining, depression and acceptance - they stay stuck in the anger stage. Perhaps there are mommy issues resulting in arrested development.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Obama preparing to endorse Hillary Clinton

He's in on the gimmick too. The media already announcing her as the (D) nominee right b4 the CA primary? What a blow to Sanders. . . Hillary is a cheat.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Hillary sheltered and backed her flandering husband a predator, anyone thinking of voting for someone likes that really doesn't care about woman's rights. Cutting the military, something China, Russia and North Korea would love....hmmmmm these countries all have something in common and it begins with a "C" and a "S" over 80% of the military already hates our socialist president as well as the police force throughout the US. I think we need to cut a lot more of our out of control entitlement spending. As far as the affluent, they have been moving, all you have to do is see all of the major corporations that are leaving the US. You have to be a complete fool to pay a 40% corporate tax rate. Many of my friends are leaving and why? They have the power to move their money and they have the right to do it. There are not enough of the 1% or even 3% to sustain or take care of a nation with over 340 million people, they are not stupid.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

flandering huh? That's a serious charge. Was he Nedding, Rodding or Todding?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Many of us non-partisan, independent voters do not care for Mrs. Clinton's policy positions; hawkish foreign policy, pro-death penalty, Wall Street alignment, etc.

Then you have Mrs. Clinton the person; arrogant, dishonest and in fact not too likable.

Finally, Then you have the whole Clinton package; Bill, Chelsea, Huma and her other surrogates.

Tuck your tail between your legs, liberals - Mrs. Clinton's no winner.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

"Hillary sheltered and backed her flandering husband a predator"

That's a bit unphare.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Bill, Chelsea, Huma and her other surrogates. Don't forget the cat Socks. Man I hate that Clinton cat, don't you?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

The United States would be making its worst mistake ever in electing Hillary Clinton for US President. She should be indicted and has no honor for her part with breaking US Security policies. While she was first lady and sec of state, she did terrible as the bengazi incident is still suspicious surrounding her participation. How strange that the young people in the US are ignorant of honor and what is right.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

The United States would be making its worst mistake ever in electing Hillary Clinton for US President. She should be indicted and has no honor for her part with breaking US Security policies.

I agree.

While she was first lady and sec of state, she did terrible as the bengazi incident is still suspicious surrounding her participation. How strange that the young people in the US are ignorant of honor and what is right.

It starts off in the school with liberal instructors imposing a progressive point of view with zero tolerance for dissent.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

First Obama chooses Hillary, an Iraq War supporter, to be Secretary of State. Now, he's endorsing her to be President. Obama's Iraq war protest lead me to believe he'd do better than this. Goes to show you how influential money in politics really is.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

While she was first lady and sec of state, she did terrible as the bengazi incident is still suspicious surrounding her participation.

Yep. Those 94 investigations into Benghazi that found no wrongdoing on her part proved that beyond a doubt.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Hillary would be OK, but Obama in 3rd term would be better.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

but Obama in 3rd term would be better

Thank God for 2 term limits.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Thank God for 2 term limits.

Obama would have saved the US trillions (not going to Iraq war). Republicans also compliment him all the time. Too bad he cannot be president again.

So you keeping your Japan passport if Hillary wins?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"It starts off in the school with liberal instructors imposing a progressive point of view with zero tolerance for dissent"

I suppose that's better than the evolution-denying, 6,000 year-old-planet crackpots in the GOP having their way. US science education would warm the hearts of the Taliban.

You were a supporter of Ben Carson, weren't you? Lessons about the function of the Pyramids would have probably had the Tailban ROFLing.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

So you keeping your Japan passport if Hillary wins?

Don't have one! but If she wins, yes, I'm Keeping my Permanent Visa.

"It starts off in the school with liberal instructors imposing a progressive point of view with zero tolerance for dissent"

I suppose that's better than the evolution-denying, 6,000 year-old-planet crackpots in the GOP having their way.

So now we're back to stereotyping again? No, I'm more for the school just allowing kids and giving them the freedom to believe in what each person wants to believe in. That's the progressive liberal doctrine, live and let live and be tolerant.

US science education would warm the hearts of the Taliban.

I would rather see the US military warm their hearts

.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

@Bass

Your choice, Ben Carson, is a young earth creationist who thinks the Pyramids were grain-storing facilities. As far as I remember, none of the GOP candidates accepted evolution or dodged the question apart from Jeb, who then went on to state he thought it shouldn't be taught in schools. This crowd included Bobby Jindall, a man with a science degree who told the GOP to stop being the stupid party.

You do have to ask why they feel the need to do this. Do you have any ideas? I can't help but think this stupidity will help them win the GOP nomination.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Nishikat - Obama was not even in office during the Iraq war vote. He could not have voted for or against. He did say he was against the war, after the fact however.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Oh, got it. but stand corrected. Unlike some people who say Trump University is a great place to get an education. I mean I'm not stubborn. But he could win a third term. His approval is up.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Obama again delayed his speech to support Hillary, We might not hear his speech until next year in this kind of pace. @bass4funk: you are answering to a very rare person who thinks USA is a Japanese territory.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If you vote in Japan it makes you a Japanese citizen. You can't vote in Japan if you are a non Japanese citizen.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Toshiko

The people on this site are just intrigued as to how it's possible for a US citizen to vote in Japan and the US.

I hope Bass can clear this one up. I thought it wasn't allowed.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Fact you do need a Japanese citizenship to vote in Japan. But please correct me if I'm wrong: You can't vote for elections even if you have permanent status. Obama would not have invaded Iraq. Trump said that was a bit mistake which makes Obama a great president. Trump hates all Mexicans.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Your choice, Ben Carson, is a young earth creationist who thinks the Pyramids were grain-storing facilities. As far as I remember, none of the GOP candidates accepted evolution or dodged the question apart from Jeb, who then went on to state he thought it shouldn't be taught in schools.

Yes, and so what's your point? As I told you a hundred times and my answer won't change even if you ask me one thousand times, Carson can believe whatever he wants, that's what I love about America, it's ok, as long as he doesn't govern by invoking his religion or personal beliefs on anyone else, who am I to judge, liberals do that. I believe in FREEdom of speech.

This crowd included Bobby Jindall, a man with a science degree who told the GOP to stop being the stupid party.

Where is Jindal these days?

You do have to ask why they feel the need to do this. Do you have any ideas? I can't help but think this stupidity will help them win the GOP nomination.

You can think what you want, we have two very unpopular candidates and we have to choose from the lesser from the two evils. We have to ask ourselves, do we really want another 3rd Obama term or do we want to go in a new direction? From the looks of it, the people don't want a third term Obama presidency, thank God.
