Whether the red or blue establishment party is in power, the country has really become a real Animal Farm. The brunt of the work was on Boxer until his age caught up to him as he was hauled off to the glue factory. So, the pigs drove the farm, and the residents to poverty and economic collapse. Either party is more or less equally profligate. Mitt or Barry makes little or no difference, and that's why the MSM has showcased them for the electorate to select one while they pinch their noses in the election booth.

One of every two college grads in America is looking at unemployment.

85 percent move back home after completeing their studies.

"Subsidizing " education worked about as well as F Mae and F Mac underwriting the nation's mortgages, and with the same consequence - a massive bubble. Total student debt is now 1 trillion dollars. Insane.

Obama needs the youth vote. Look for Dems to start making noises about cancelling or socializing a lot of this debt, all the while demonizing conservatives , independents and libertarians as cruel heartless individuals who don't believe in America's future blah blah blah

It's called "vote buying". It's easy for Democrat's to offer people some benefit when it is their goal to take control of every facet of citizen's lives. I just can't believe how willing people are to give up their own freedom and life choices for fleeting freebies from a uncaring bureaucracy.

President Barack Obama’s campaign is calling Romney a far-right conservative

So the former governor of Massachusette's is somehow a far-right conservative? Good luck with that President "far-left" Obama.

Who cares? Obama & Romney are just two sides of the same coin.

Boy am I glad that I am living in an east European country and will NOT have to hear all the negative campaign ads for the next 6 months!

and they have done everything they could to ignore or smear the only decent choice, Dr Ron Paul.

Nobody is smearing Paul. If he is being ignored, it is because his policies do not match with what the voters want. Why take that so personally?

In the previous election, Obama had promised change, but he basically continued, if not intensified Bush's failures.

Like him or not, that is not actually true. Obama got Bin Ladin. Obama has reduced significantly the US presence in Iraq and will get them all out soon. Obama will be doing the same with Afghanistan. That is certainly a change.

Which means that when he's elected, we can trust that he'll actually do what he says he's going to do

Unfortunately for him, that is his problem. An isolationist policy for the US is not good for the US or for anyone else. Ignoring the world's problems is not a solution to them.

Anyone who believes that is either foolish or lazy - or both.

Exactly.

Romney "tweak" his strategy? He's going to be wildly scrambling for the middle after pandering to all the mouth breathers in the republican party. Bob Dole is going to do a hell of a lot more than just "tweak."

Many Americans have given up on this president but they haven’t ever thought about giving up. Not on themselves. Not on each other. And not on America.

The last part of this statement is typical red meat campaigning nonsense. How many American wake up in the morning and dedicate their working day to "America"? Sounds good, but it doesn't mean anything. I wouldn't limit this approach to the GOP alone (the Dems do it too), but Romney seems to base his campaign on nothing but vacuous catch phrases. Here's another:

“After four years of a celebrity president,” the ad asks, “is your life any better?”

For a man who routinely portrays the federal government as ineffective, Romney sure does credit the presidency with extraordinary powers over people's daily lives. I thought Republicans believed Americans were independent enough not to blame somebody else when the going gets tough.

Who cares? Obama & Romney are just two sides of the same coin.

Yeah, that is why the powers that be want us to think they are the only options, and they have done everything they could to ignore or smear the only decent choice, Dr Ron Paul.

Instead, they say he needs to outline an economic narrative that separates him not just from Obama, but also from the policies of Obama's predecessor, Republican George W Bush.

Basically, he needs to outline Paul's policies.

Obama's campaign has cast Romney's policies as a return to Bush's failed agenda.

In the previous election, Obama had promised change, but he basically continued, if not intensified Bush's failures.

So it doesn't matter what they promise, Romney/Obama, if elected, will continue doing what the US government has been doing, running the US into the ground.

Ron Paul has been consistent for more than 30 years and he's been absolutely right about the most important issues facing the US today. Which means that when he's elected, we can trust that he'll actually do what he says he's going to do; and what he does is actually going to work.

"After months of casting Republican Mitt Romney as someone who often changes positions for political convenience"

Casting? Heh, the snake hath 50 faces....

"Mr. Obama's failings"

Heck, they're not Obama's failings, they're leftover Bush failings, lol!

Romney can tweak and adjust but I really wonder if he has the unadulterated, all-consuming lust for power that so clearly animates Obama, currently in what must be his seventh or eigth year of non-stop campaigning and fund-raising.

The British press has been doing the job the American media, for whatever reason, won't do. And today they report Obama has held more fundraisers than the last five presidents combined.

For a guy who mouths so much about folks needing to pay their share I can only think he means it is to him and his party he is talking about.
