Those stealth helicopters are so quiet. No noise at all. That is why the Pakistani Military did not hear them. Fail

Obama says bin Laden had support network

really??? wow, Obama is so smart.

Strange isn't it, that the "Bin Laden" being pushed around bear little resemblance to his photographs. The shape of the ears is quite different. Also, the man in the video is changing channels with his right hand, but Bin Laden was left handed. The BBC site has interviews with people living in the same town as Bin Laden was allegedly killed. Out of fifty interviewed, 49 said the guy in the video isn't Bin Laden. The body was also strangely dumped at sea, so no verification is possible.

There are too many questions surrounding this whole story.

Some members of Congress have called for a cessation of U.S. aid to Pakistan

I guess its better to support the terrorists that you know than the ones you dont...

Be careful when you use the phrase 'our man'. It can mean everything to the fox listeners

Good job.

It seems like it's been a long time since America had a president they didn't have to apologize to the world for electing.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

We apologized 'to the world' for who?

Really? In your fantasy maybe.

Pakistani government has to investigate

what Obama want to hear? Pakistan know that they can say anything, and the americans will have to support them financially anyway, or the american will have to risk a possible nuke attack by terrorists that Pakistanis are feeding in their own backyard!

having nuke and feeding terrorists at the same time proof to be only a win win for parkistain corrupted politicians and loose loose for american tax payers.

john says:

There are. Is it all a great conspiracy, a great fake, deception, a mystery?

Indeed the Americans not having their story straight from the start raises questions and suspicion. Too bad.

We apologized 'to the world' for who?

USARonin -- Well, "Mission Accomplished" Bush springs immediately to my mind. I mean he and his fellow chicken-hawks tore apart two countries between 2001 and 2003, and we are still having to pick up the pieces as best we can. At the cost of billions of dollars, thousands of lives, and much of our international reputation. And that is not "fantasy". The fantasy was in the neo-con philosophy of Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz that let to this. And Bush believing he was on a mission from god.

herefornow: 9/11

There has been no fantasy apology.

Your other musings aside, no one mentions 'God' more than President Obama after he got elected. Is he on a mission, too?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

USARonin, take it easy! This is just a platform and we are just reporting what is obvious. Just follow fox and their commenting listeners and you will know what I'm referring to. That's why Obama had to remind them that the Lion King video was children's movie

Well, "Mission Accomplished" Bush springs immediately to my mind.

It sprung to President Obama's mind. The part the article so graciously left out of its reporting on the 60 Minutes interview.

KROFT: When the mission was over . . .

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Uh-huh.

KROFT: . . . and you walked out of the situation room . . . .

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Yeah.

KROFT: . . . what did you do? What was the first thing you did?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Yeah, I think I walked up with my team, and I just said, "We got him." And I expressed my profound gratitude and pride to the team that had worked on this.

I mean keep in mind this is something, first of all, that that wasn't just our doing. Obviously since 2001, countless folks in our intelligence community and our military had worked on this issue. President Bush had obviously devoted a lot of resources to this, and so there was a cumulative effort and a testament to the capacity of the United States of America to follow through. And to do what we said we're gonna do. Even across administrations, across party lines and the skill with which our intelligence and military folks operated in this was indescribable.

Now we have a president who apologizes to the world for everything we have and have not done. He can thank Bush and all the other Crazies for setting up all of the Intel networks and monitoring systems to find out where Osama was...Obama NEVER could have accomplished that...All he had to do was order the killing...

and knew when one of the helicopters carrying Navy SEALs made an unplanned hard landing.

Known as a crash to us unbiased laymen. What a joke!

Anyone who questions whether the terrorist mastermind didn’t deserve his fate “needs to have their head examined,” he said.

Strawman. Its not a question of what bin Laden deserved. Its a question of obligation to the present and the future and the reputation of the United States.

he didn’t lose sleep over the possibility that bin Laden might be killed.

As if there were significant odds he wouldn't! Enough kidding already!

Bin Laden's wife actually rushes the team, and they shoot her in the leg! Oh, but bin Laden might have been reaching for a gun. Double tap! Then dump the body at sea and no pictures! And the reputation of the U.S. government and military being what is, the best witness we got is 12 years old!

If I were the type to wear the American flag on my sleeve, I would hate me! Those whose patriotism runs deeper won't phased though.

Didn't quite get the command "Get Down" shouted in Arabic I'd say. Calf shot got the message through pretty quick though. I do believe the Seals could have shot her in the head quite easily if they really wanted to.

What did happen to the corpse of OBL's son ,who was also killed . OBL was buried properly ,what about his son? I know President Obama is very happy now but after calculating the time ( 3 US presidents) and the cost (about 3,000 billions dollars? as someone suggested) to kill the man, he could shake his head in disbelief.

tcih@thanks for worrying about this, I was beginning to worry nobody cared. For your information I am sure the Bin Laden family can afford the necessary arrangements as they are quite affluent.

"three of bin Laden's wives"

What kind of nutty religion or society would allow that?

Apparently members of al Qaida are online slamming the U.S. I don't know why they're so upset. Everyone in al Qaida just got a promotion.

What kind of anti-freedom person would have a problem with people being free to have three wives or even three husbands for that matter?

Nutty? What a backward and hypocritical thing to say! And how insulting to all Muslims! Bin Laden is dead and some people seem intent on fostering the creation of a new one!

I'd have to say the importance of "getting our man" is true for at least Quadaffi and Assad and Ahmadhinijihad as well. They have all funded, aided and abetted individuals and groups who have killed US soldiers and citizens. Will Obama make the "gutsy" call and go after all of them? If not, I think he needs a challenger from within the party in 2012.

Will Obama make the "gutsy" call and go after all of them? If not, I think he needs a challenger from within the party...

Of course, the irony here is that the banner-leader of the Republican Party in 2008, John McCain, was asked about going after Osama bin Laden with special forces, if intel showed that he was hiding in Pakistan. McCain voiced the Republican opinion that he would not support such an action, calling it "naive."

This seems to be the Republican modus operandi of the past few years: Even if something is in America's best interests, Republicans will oppose it if Barack Obama is for it. The Republican minions are now so desperate, they have fallen to hoping for a Democratic challenger to President Obama. All they have to offer are insignificant, odious dwarves like Bachmann, Santorum, etc., etc.

" If not, I think he needs a challenger from within the party in 2012."

Nonsensical, chicken-hawk bravado died with your hero Bush, who incidently, didn't get "the man". I know it pains you and the other Biorther's that under the hated President Obama, the man who couldn't be caught, was - but no amount of obfuscation or Denial will change this.

It was a team effort. Everyone needs to get over themselves.
