If I remember correctly a few years ago the USA/NATO was criticized very heavily for trying this and peeing off the Russians. Will the outrage be there again? Of course, Iran the land of the free thinkers of Islam was mentioned so that's food for Liberal idiots to come out and preach hate on the West. Oh how the Europeans will be confused by this one.

The expanded anti-missile system is expected to cost $273 million over the next decade,

$273 million can't be right. That is chump change in the "lining your pockets" business.

Oh sorry, I mean in the "protecting the defenseless public from unnamed enemies" business.

"at the risk of further aggravating Russia"

Russia doesn't need this aggravation.

I hope the arms business pay the costs, they had enough profit recently with arms sales. Not put the bill on the state members and so to us, the tax payer !!

commitment to protect against Iranian attack

History has shown that defensive measures do not work in the long term. Iran's nuclear facilities and military could be eliminated in a couple of weeks of air strikes. This would be a whole lot cheaper and more effective than a European missile defense system. The Mullahs are laughing.
