*"HAVANA —

U.S. President Barack Obama told Cubans on Tuesday he wants to “bury” decades of Cold War conflict and then joined his counterpart Raul Castro for some baseball diplomacy to wrap up his historic visit to the communist island. " - article*

Hate is not the answer. Good on The Cuban People, Good on President Obama. Together the regions of the world cannot be undone by hate.

But Castro, sitting in a theater box with other high-ranking officials, sat stone-faced...

Just like Republicans every when Obama delivers the SOTU.

I will be so thrilled once the Castro brothers are completely out of the picture, just a matter of time.

One must be a complete fool trying to impose rules of his country while being abroad. That's why Cubans were stone-faced.

But those republicans didn't vote for "change." If the Cubans want change well then good for them. Don't come to America tho-

Wow, Obama just sidelined Castro in his own country.

The Cubans may remember their country as it was before the Castro led revolution----a land of brothels, gambling casinos and the abject poverty that came with exploitation by the American capitalists. So revolutions are born!

Not a fan of the Castro bros, but Fulgencio Batista was sadly worse. By supporting Batista, the stage was set.

So amusing to watch right-wingers and Kremlin-bots so desperately trying to spin this.

Both parties are insane and both suck.

You destroy. Others create.

So if Obama destroyed, what did Obama give except for his....

No, Raul Castro was stone-faced, but the Cubans were enthusiastic:

But Castro, sitting in a theater box with other high-ranking officials, sat stone-faced as Obama said: “Voters should be able to choose their governments in free and democratic elections.”

Cubans watching at home or in bars were enthusiastic.

Try living under a dictatorship and be stone-faced.

Hmm. I think Republicans hatred communists so much because after all is said and done, they really are just the same? Intolerant, illiberal, undemocratic ideologues who intentionally impoverish the country just to remain in power.

@"Try living under a dictatorship"

Please. Cubans are very kind and friendly. But Obama, lecturing about democracy, looked out like a fool.

Please what? What does that have to do with anything?

Would you like to live under a dictatorship? Just say so.

That way, when ya do fall under a dictatorship, we don't want to hear ya complaining.

Would you like to live under a dictatorship?

Russians and Eastern Europeans were very kind and friendly even under the Soviet Iron Curtain dictatorship.

I'm sure Japanese would still be very kind and friendly even when Abe turns Japan into a dictatorship.

But woe betide anyone who lectured the Iron Curtain or Abe-Japan about democracy.

@:kost: If you want to insult us Japanese using Abe, study what was Japanese dictatorship was befite insulting entire Japanese.
