Just doing what the MSM won't do.

Oh, I'm sure Fox "News" is trashing them.

@FizzBit,

Liberals need not cry too hard for either the grieving Castile family or his equally distraught girlfriend, Lavish Reynolds. They moved very quickly to cash in on Philando's death by creating at least three accounts to collect money from mainly the white guilt segment of America. Grand total they have raked in as of this writing: $222,150 from their various Philando Castile Go-Fund-Me Accounts. . .

There's also a selfie video taken recently of both of them in the car smoking a big joint, with their daughter in the back seat. The look on the daughters face was just pure fear. Very sad. He did not deserve to get shot, but these two were NOT upstanding citizens. Child endangerment charges to Lavish are soon to follow I'd imagine. I'm not afraid to ask, where was the BLM soul subjecting a child to that? Oh that's right, it's only reserved for whitey.

Ahh, time to trash his character, so white people don't have to feel bad about him being shot and killed with his girlfriend and kid in the car.

It has come to light that Philando Castile was stopped because he was an armed robbery suspect and not because of a broken tail light as his girlfriend and Facebook video uploader, "Lavish" Reynolds, claimed

As a result, police officers here in Texas, Tennessee, Missouri and Georgia have been shot or killed within the following 24 hours based on the false narrative advanced by the BLM movement, Obama and the MSM. . . .

I'm still waiting for you to show what Obama said that jumped the gun. Once again, here is the link, so you can find the text with a single click: http://time.com/4397600/obama-alton-sterling-philando-castile-speech-transcript/

Please, support your assertion by providing the quotes that support it.

I think we both know you cannot do that though, since they don't exist, and the link is just as easy for us to check as you.

Also, Castile did not possess a CCP for the gun he had in his lap which Reynolds also claimed in her video, but rather a PP instead. Big difference.

Some of what Obama actually said:

As is my practice, given my institutional role, I can’t comment on the specific facts of each case.

...we have extraordinary appreciation and respect for the vast majority of police officers who put their lives on the line to protect us every single day. They have got a dangerous job. It is a tough job.

...the overwhelming majority of police officers who are doing a great job every single day and are doing their job without regard to race, that they encourage their leadership and organizations that represent them to get behind these recommendations.

...when we see data that indicates disparities in how African- Americans and Latinos may be treated in various jurisdictions around the country, and it’s incumbent on all of us to say, we can do better than this, we are better than this, and to not have it degenerate into the usual political scrum.

so, cue usual political scrum from the bubble.

Yeah, he should really apologize...

@Texas A&M

Here is the link to the transcript of Obama's comments, as provided by gcbel: http://time.com/4397600/obama-alton-sterling-philando-castile-speech-transcript/

I assume that Obama wants to see firsthand the results of the racially inflammatory comments he made from Poland the day before in which he blamed racist white cops without any facts as to the motivations of the officers involved

Which comments would these be? I've read the entire transcript, and he does not mention once the race of the police, nor that the police in question are racist.

when it comes to U.S. race relations, Obama has jumped the gun once more

Which part of the transcript specifically was said too soon? I've read the entire transcript, and nothing that was said was shown to be wrong through further evidence that arose after the full video was released.

There is no chance that Obama will apologize for his stupid assumptions about the motives for the two police shootings

Which part of the transcript shows assumptions made about the police shootings? In the transcript, he does not mention any motives for the shooting at all.

So much for Obama's assumption in Poland that a racist white cop shot him.

Which part of the transcript shows Obama to have assumed that it was a racist white cop? I've read it, and nowhere in the transcript does he say anything about the race of the cops, nor does he make any indication that he feels they were racist.

Now, reading @wolfpack's and @Texsas A&M's comments on what Obama said, and then reading the transcript of what Obama actually said, it would appear that literally nothing they have attributed to Obama has any basis in the reality of what he actually said, whatsoever. Literally, there is nothing in the transcript that the claims they have made could be attributed to.

So where do these wild fantasies come from? Do they make them up? Are they told this in the bubble? Do they actually know that what they are saying is entirely incorrect, or are they just repeating someone else's lies in ignorance?

One has to wonder.

For the short term, it should be mandatory for every police officer on duty to wear a body-cam. This would at least provide some protection for law abiding citizens who encounter bad police officers and at the same time protect the reputations of good police officers from law breaking citizens. The police officer who fired on and killed the black man in Minnesota for a broken tail light was not wearing a body-cam and I wonder if he would have responded very differently had he been wearing some type of video camera in the first place.

With all of the different types of police agencies in the U.S., it's obvious that a few bad individuals who want to carry a gun are going to slip through the cracks, be given a uniform & weapon, shoot somebody up for the wrong reasons, while, at the same time, damaging the reputation of the majority of police officers who are doing an effective and dangerous job.

There is no chance that Obama will apologize

Absolutely no reason for him to apologize. So, no, not a chance in hell. Rightly so.

http://time.com/4397600/obama-alton-sterling-philando-castile-speech-transcript/

Care to pick out the "inflammatory comments"? Care to cite the exact quote in the remarks where Obama says "that a racist white cop shot" Alton Sterling? If you can't, care to retract? Apologize? Is there a stated fact in his remarks you dispute?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

@Texas A&M

Ooh. You posted it again. Still not sure why you think the video is somehow favors the police... Are we pretending now that the fact Sterling was armed was somehow under-reported (despite the fact that it's been mentioned by every media outlet from the start)? Is the shooting supposed to be justified because Sterling had a gun in his pocket? Because he wasn't licensed to carry? (That didn't help Castile much, did it?) Kinda hard to threaten an officer with a gun that never leaves your pocket until the police take it off your bullet-riddled corpse, eh?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Any bets on whether Obama will come here to Texas, man up and admit/apologize that he spoke too soon about the events surrounding what happened in Louisiana?

There is no chance that Obama will apologize for his stupid assumptions about the motives for the two police shootings and his inflammatory comments right before the Dallas ambush by a black nationalist. Also, the cop that shot the black man in Minnesota was Hispanic (soon to be termed a white Hispanic no doubt). So much for Obama's assumption in Poland that a racist white cop shot him. Don't look for him to apologize for that reckless comment either.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Like so many times before when it comes to U.S. race relations, Obama has jumped the gun once more now that the full video (not the edited one broadcast repeatedly by the MSM) shows the Baton Rouge policeman taking a gun out of the front pocket of convicted felon Alton Sterling:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoPRjCWAwho

Any bets on whether Obama will come here to Texas, man up and admit/apologize that he spoke too soon about the events surrounding what happened in Louisiana? Didn't think so. . . .

Rocks US race relations? Oh, right. Talking about institutional racism against blacks = rocks race relations. Got it.

Obama to head to Dallas as shooting rocks U.S. race relations

I assume that Obama wants to see firsthand the results of the racially inflammatory comments he made from Poland the day before in which he blamed racist white cops without any facts as to the motivations of the officers involved. No doubt he inspired Johnson and helped to justify his racially motivated shooting of the 12 Dallas police. See now what two decades in a black nationalist church leads to.

It is his fault for not unifying blacks and whites for becoming ones.

Ah, yes, Obama the Messiah. Why didn't he just end racism? Should have issued one of those executive orders...

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I am sure 99% of the cops are doing an extremely good and tough job that everyone would recognise. How the hell the 1% of bad ones can go without being prosecuted properly.

Besides the victims I believe the most affected are the 99% good cops!

Politicians and judges, please do your job with integrity too!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

When Obama was elected as first black president, many people hope that he will heal the old wounds between black and white. However more black people have been oppressed and slaughtered on this watch. It is his fault for not unifying blacks and whites for becoming ones. He is biased for blue lives. Not black, brown, bronze and yellow.

Late Mohamad Ali infamously acted as blacks were still under chain in the concert. Civil war was caused by slaving of the black people. In fact Blacks are still sub humans in US. It is time for reconciliation between blacks and whites.

“We will not shy away from the very real fact that we as a city, as a state, as a nation are struggling with racial issues,” - Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings

Race issues are tied to economic issues.

If the political environment supports People over Prophets much of racism's roots will wither.

In the mean time, the race baiting started and supported in one Candidate's 2011 Campaign, and continued since 2015, isn't helping solve economic or social injustice.

Don't blame the policemen for doing their jobs.

And what job is that, exactly? Protect and serve? Or shooting black folks?

Look, the point regarding Sterling is that we don't have nearly enough info make the call yet, but yet not only are you willing to make that call on the side of the officers, but you are eager to disparage those who have done the same on the side of Sterling. Describing such a position as "hypocritical" seems almost charitable.

As a felon, Sterling may not have been legally entitled to carry a firearm, but that doesn't necessarily mean it, sitting in his pocket, was an immediate threat to police. "Resisting arrest" is an utterly meaningless term which is constantly trotted out in the wake of police abuse of force, along with "he was reaching for the gun" - how many unarmed civilians have been killed because they were "reaching for a gun" which afterwards turned out to be a wallet?

You need to dial things back a bit and wait for the appropriate investigations to take their course. But don't pretend that these videos don't look bad for the police, and certainly don't pretend that there aren't racial problems with the way our law enforcement conducts itself. Even if both the Minnesota and Louisiana turn out to be justified, that doesn't change the fact that blacks are disproportionately victimized by law enforcement and the justice system.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

As if the mere presence of a gun in Sterling's Pocket, legal or otherwise, automatically justifies his shooting

Sterling was a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest. Don't blame the policemen for doing their jobs. The blame clearly rests on thug Sterling's now-deceased shoulders for breaking the law twice. This incident will wind up being ruled a justified shooting. . . .

You have some weird ideas about what you think Trump would and could do.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Solution: make the police a national force and cycle every officer to different precincts every year for 5 years making sure they cycle away from high crime precincts. Once Trump gets in and stops all the Dem / Rep warmongering, we'll be able to afford the extra cost. Then only the truly dedicated will serve and be proud of it. Psych screening is mandatory. Instill the word PEACE back into Peace Officer.

Growing up in the burbs of a high crime city, a high ranking officer lived across the street from us, which was illegal. No one said anything. This type of corruption must end. The thin blue line needs to be erased. Once Trump gets in and brings back the jobs, everyone will be much happier. Vote for the establishment 1% liars, and watch the country burn some more. I haven't seen or heard of Obama doing anything serious like this. He's an establishment 1%'er.

You can't argue that a higher percentage of Black Lives Matter are indeed racist and anti police compared to the general population.

Regarding the racism, it's up to you to prove it, not to us to deny it.

As for the anti-police, yeah, a lot of them probably are, due to being afraid for their lives every time they or their friends and family get stopped by the police. Go figure.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

You can't argue that a higher percentage of Black Lives Matter are indeed racist and anti police compared to the general population. Twisting statements to read what you choose to sumise can never bring us all together.

Certainly nobody believes ALL BLack Lives Matter protestors are anti-cop or racist. That's silly. Are many anti-cop and racist? We see the reality in the last couple years.

How many BLM protests have ended with laws being broke? How many BLM protests have ended in chaos?

The overwhelmingly left controlled MSM shares the blame for the chaos. How many times are they wrong! Hands up don't shoot was reported from Micheal Brown, reality was quite the oppostie. let the investigation determine the facts cause MSM does not.

take credit for what he, his two AG' s and his enablers inside the MSM have built

Yeah! Anyone who calls attention to a problem of racism in the police force is guilty of causing the backlash. I gotta hand it to Texas A&M for educating their kids real good.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Adding to the tragedy, it appears that he Dallas police force is actually one police force that has had great success in reducing overuse of force by officers via a focus on de-escalation training.

While the White House ruled out any link between the gunman and known “terrorist organizations,” Johnson’s Facebook page ties him to several radical black activist movements listed as hate groups in the United States. -- article

More leading from behind by a clueless administration.

Obama's coming here to Texas next week? Why not be in Dallas in time for the five slain officers' funerals to take credit for what he, his two AG' s and his enablers inside the MSM have built?

According to an American at the office, one of the memes of black people here in Tokyo is that whatever the difficulties, "cops won't shoot you".
