I'm so cheesed off at Russia. Its a great country (historically and culturally) that could be a thousand leagues better than it currently is. While the US is no epitome of perfection in this age, at least it started off on values and morality that everyone could agree with the world over. I wish that Russia had been part of NATO and had a better and less corrupt, self-indulging government.

Its not about Russia showing "backbone" against very ill-perceived US "Imperialism". It's about what Russia does as far as not trying to force other countries of the former USSR to return to "Mother Russia's" bosom because Russia wants to control them by trying to be the main source of income and energy resources for those countries.

If only history had been different. China wouldn't be run by such a knuckleheaded government, Russia would probably still have some type of monarchy bloodline roaming around worth talking about, the Vietnam and Korean war would have never existed, there would only be ONE Korea, Cuba would probably be much better off than it is now.... To dream of such a world.

US, doesn't have to do the dirty work after all, they get their lackey to do it for them from Europe to Asia, so they can remain top dog without getting their hands dirty, smart move.

Not as you post. Welcome back to JT. I will be reading your unfair and biased Japan bashing comments. Be aware.

U.S .President Barack Obama will press....to keep up pressure...

Playing a role of hydraulic cylinder, in other words. A fresh anecdote from my Russian correspondents. First Lady to POTUS : 'Sweetie, please, stop inventing new sanctions against Russians. Or your face will turn pale or even WHITE of anger! '

Russian is the only country that won't bend over and take it from the Americans. Must be so frustrating to be denied total world domination.
