quest, you just don't understand. That $4Trillion was given away in one tax year. Those are not the tax cuts that just ran out or are running out. Those running out are only 600Billion a year.

Until Obama puts in for more money, your argument is unfounded.

Asura, The wars we're locked into because of the preceeding president. < :-)

Your hero Obama has not reinstated any of those 4 trillion tax cuts, it must have been a good idea, right... Obama is the president now, not Bush, so the buck stops with him. its funny that you are so fixated on Bush, (the past) that you fail to realize that Obama is his clone, or even worse. You know Obama will be begging for more cash in 6 months but its OK because he is a demapublican.

$720 billion for weapons and bullets to kill whom?!

So you agree that george bush gave away $Trillions in tax dollars. Thank you.

And that $4Trillion was in one tax year. This didn't even include the other dozen tax cuts he initiated. < :-)

During George W. Bush's first term alone, more than $4 trillion in tax cuts were passed. Studies show that approximately 80 percent of these cuts are accruing to the wealthiest 20 percent households and largely in turn to the highest income groups within that 20 percent.

Those were temporary tax cuts, and if Obama disagrees, he could repeal them, or impose new taxes, but , he has not...

You're wrong quest. Dead wrong. Even more than just the Wall Street thieves. < :-)

Wow quest that's pretty good. You hope your speculation is correct. You'll even put it in an "I'm so positive" statement. Obama will never be like george bush. < :-)

Do us all a favor and show a link to your proof. < :-)

Bush never gave the Wall Street bankers billion dollar raises, and interest free money, with no strings attached.

Barack Obama budgeted the wars in this bill. George Bush never put the wars in the budget. he sent special spending bills separately to the congress.

Give Osama six months, hell be begging for even more cash.

Thanks Sarge.

You still don't prove my statement false. I very plainly said that george bush raised the national DEBT not deficit.

http://www.afn.org/~concord/coalition/debtdef.htm

So I'll repeat my statement a little more clearly. george bush spent more money then any other president and left this country deeper in debt than any other president period.

Do you understand the statement? < :-)

Take a gander at this:

Sarge, prove your statement. The first two sentences says the debt will crest. It doesn't say that Obama spent the national treasury.

Obama is making George Bush look like a spendthrift.

How so?

Look at you denial of bush's facts.

This country has to recover from bush's spending spree with America's treasury.

I love how Sarge's republicans put this country in the tank, but they so innocently deny the facts. < :-)

"Obama won't rid the country of the debt created by george bush ( George Bush )"

Of course not, the way he's going, he's going to create a debt that'll make Bush's debt look like a surplus.

"we'll come back no matter what bush ( Bush ) did"

We'll come back no matter what Obama does. It might take awhile though.

I love this chart. It really shows the republicans claim to fame.

This is also a real good chart.

Obama's perfect trillions circulations, finding the perfect money cure for USA.

When is my next handout (stimulus)? I want to ramp up the fiat debt as much as possible to enslave the American populace.

On the anti-recession front, congressional sources said Obama’s new budget will propose extending the popular Making Work Pay middle-class tax breaks of $400 per individual and $800 per couple through 2011. They were due to expire after this year.

Most of us xpats do not pay amerikan taxes anyway, so this means nothing to us.

Odogma: what does "Other" mean in the graph.

At http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124750836648634011.html is a simple graph ("Deep Impact") which explains, clearer than words will, precisely why Barack Obama will be a one term president, and why he is already becoming toxic to his own party.

Sarge successfully proves once again that he completely misunderstands this fiscal crisis....

"No president in history ever ran up a debt like george bush"

You must have missed the first two lines of this article:

"The national deficit will crest at a record-breaking $1.6 trillion in the current fiscal year"

Obama is making George Bush look like a spendthrift.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Oh Odogma, you're so funny. You're good buddy george bush did that before he left. You're real good about blaming Obama, but bush ran the debt up $6Trillion in 8 years. No president in history ever ran up a debt like george bush. Barack Obama will deal with it. He won't rid us of it, but he won't be a mill stone around our neck like bush. < :-)

Obama, and the Soros people who back him, understand that to repeal democracy in America you need to destroy the economy.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Still, the administration’s new budget to be released Monday says deficits over the next decade will average 4.5% of the size of the economy, a level which economists say is dangerously high if not addressed,

This makes it sound like the government deficit will cause problems in the future, when the reality is that the deficits are just a symptom of the dangerous problem that nothing was done about. Total debt in the USA is 50 trillion dollars or 350% of GDP. The private sector is maxed out and can't take on any more debt, so the government has to take it on to keep the economy from crashing down. That's the problem.

Welcome to the new Japan, although if things go as they have in Japan that might actually be a pretty good outcome. Things might end up much worse than in Japan.
