When a White House official told the man the press were allowed to record Obama’s arrival, the Chinese official yelled: “This is our country! This is our airport!”

If ya don't want to act like good hosts, then why did ya even host the G20?

I suspect the guy was just doing what he always did for dignitaries. Nobody challenged that effort before, so he had no idea that some people would be offended.

For example, we only get told "Chinese official" - what about an actual name and a photo of the man responsible?

The Chinese guy doesn't sound wrong. '... a White House official told him this was our president and our plane and the press wasn't moving.'

It IS his country. And is he supposed to know who Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes are? They crossed under the rope! Lucky not to be tackled.

If you're hosting such a very high profile summit, then yes, ya hire top-notch staff and make sure they know everything and make sure they know how to act in any possible situation to be good hosts. Ya don't use everyday run-of-the-mill staff like it's any other day of the year. This is the big leagues this week; time to step up.

This is all about the Chinese wanting to control every aspect of the visit. It's their showcase meant for the Chinese people and they don't want to take any chance of being embarrassed.

This article actually barely touches on what really happened on the tarmac and later as well. A fuller article can be found on ZeroHedge, which the folks from MiniTru loathe.
