Iran's Natanz nuclear site suffered an incident Sunday involving its electrical distribution grid, state TV reported.

Possibly a clever cyber attack, we have seen many before.

State TV quoted Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for Iran's civilian nuclear program, announcing the incident.

"CIvilian nuclear program"....in a country with no uranium but loads of oil. Gotta love our media who parrot this.

Whoopsie, looks like the Russians, chinese, Iranians and North Koreans are not the only ones with a cyber warfare unit.

But only the liberal media. Conservative media doesn’t fall for the tricks of journalism!

Alas, no big conservative media around, but yes there are independent commentators who do not fall for the propaganda. "Tricks of journalism", LOL. I wish there was some real journalism left in the Western media.

...courtesy of the US and Israel, no doubt. #stuxnet

More Israel than the US, which is now on the way to approve of Irans nuke program. But yes, something like Stuxnet comes to mind.

"The cause of the incident is under investigation.”

If my friends at Foggy Bottom are on the ball, the cause will never be found.

The question is whether it was just the equivalent of a prank that can be quickly remedied, or was it a significant sabotage that will stop their enrichment progress for a significant while.

You don’t think Fox “News,” Breitbart, or OANN practice “real” journalism?

Not perfect, but all of them are a lot closer to real journalism than the blatant propaganda you get served at CNN, ABC, BBC, NPR, NYT et al. You might want to leave the comfort of your bubble sometimes. Heck, you don´t even need to tell your friends.

Ineptitude can explain many "problems." How to they know it isn't the will of Allah? Seems clear to me it must be.

The US under the Obama Administration hit Iran with a cyberattack.

Conservative media doesn’t fall for the tricks of journalism!

From what I have seen in my life conservative media is not particularly interested in doing the hard work of journalism, of doing years of hard research on a subject do dig up facts and then writing about it using measured words. They are more concerned about opinion than fact, about generating outrage than about generating factual research.

Number one, I have no doubt the fires and other major problems that have befallen sites known to be involved in Iran's nuclear development program are the result of cyber attacks by nations hostile to Iran. I have to ask a question though, why must these attacks always and forever be coming from Israel and the US? How about Saudi Arabia? Why are they ignored when their emnity is so great and they lead a coalition of other Gulf states who share their hostility towards Iran? Pakistan likewise has elements within its intelligence branches that support the fundamentalist Sunni Taliban and who are highly hostile towards Shiites and Iran.

Wolfpack is convinced the Biden administration is going to lay prostrate for Iran. I have another thought on the subject. If Natanz and other facilities are damaged to the point of being extremely expensive to repair it becomes easier to bring Iran to the bargaining table and get a result favorable to the west. Iran has to weigh the cost of not just going forward with new development but rebuilding what was destroyed against compromising with the west. In effect the west gets to negotiate with an Iran from the past that now doesn't have some proportion of what it has developed in the past several years as that equipment has been destroyed. The west is in a stronger negotiating position as a result.
